Hey, everyone.

I've added a new story, as you can probably see, called The Moon's Daughter. It's a story about Remus's sixteen-year-old daughter, Eve. I wrote it in a handful of days and it's only ten chapters long. I'm not quite sure whether it's consistent or not but it's really just the beginning to a set of stories that I want to write. I needed to get it out of the way before I could start on the sequels. Give it a read anyway and tell me what you think.

I've recently been given a brand new laptop (as mine broke long before I joined FFnet) so hopefully I should be getting more stories out now that I don't have to worry about my younger brother, Jack, walking in on me every other minute. I'm planning more HP stories and, I promise, I'll finish The Lover of a Man. I'm just really unhappy in the direction that I have taken it and I want to redo most of it. I hope my readers will stick with me on this. After my exams, I'll have so much time on my hands, I won't know what to do. I'm also looking into writing more about Ellen and Jack in my Stargate fics. Perhaps longer stories are in the offing.

I subscribe to the Sober Universe (SU) aka the Sensible Universe!

The Sensible or Sober Universe (SU) was conceived by a fanfic author on the FFN Reviews Lounge. The SU philosophy expresses the view of many of us who have tried to keep our stories “canon,” in line with J.K.Rowling's vision for Harry Potter, but who, in light of recent revelations, can no longer do so. I personally do not believe that JKR's recent revelations regarding post-DH ships are canon in the same way as the books themselves are. I subscribe to the Sober/Sensible Universe where we can use our imaginations to decide who ended up with whom, and where my version is as true as yours (or JKR's, I guess).

JKR has given us a wonderful universe to play with, but she has finished writing the books. Either she should have given us a more detailed epilogue to DH, telling us what we wanted to know, rather than what we could have guessed, or she should have kept her ideas about post-DH events, ships and names to herself. I do not think that I am the only person who has found the slow trickle of information since DH was released both frustrating and disappointing.

Personally: JKR has given us an absolutely incredible place to play but I think that what is in the books is canon. I ignore all interviews that she has done after DH was published and my work won't be in line with whatever is in the interviews, unless I really like it. The fact that JKR married Neville with someone who isn't Luna made me what to clap my hands over my ears, eyes and mouth (I have three hands). The whole, see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil routing. Dumbledore most certainly was not gay as well. His one true love has been Hogwarts and the students that pass through the doors. That is why he never married. Not because he was hung up on some imprisoned Dark Lord who he spent one summer in cahoots with. All respect to JKR but I subscribe to the Sober Universe.

I always want to take this moment to profess my love for a new pairing that I stumbled across in the HP universe. Snape and Tonks a.k.a Snonks. It's bloody brilliant. I just stumbled across it by accident and I am so glad that I did. If anyone wants to read some, check out my favourite stories and look for The Forgiveness Within and its sequel Which Witch? They are exceptionally good.

To my Stargate fans as well, I promise that I'll get some more stories out soon. Stargate's been by the wayside a bit in the past few months. I go through general phases of writing. For a block of months, I'll be Harry Potter mad, another set of months, Stargate mad. It all depends what mood I am in. I'm going to take more responsibility though and make sure I get any promised stories out. Feel free to metaphorically beat me if I don't.

P.S Hi, everyone. Back from Spain and I am incredibly busy. I've got my very first job interview this Friday for the Body Shop and today (Wednesday 6th August 2008) I went to an open casting call for the movie adaption of Alice in Wonderland, directed by Tim Burton and rumoured to be featuring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, and I spent eight long hours waiting in a queue of nearly 2000 people for a chance to be one of the 250 people chosen to be extras on the film whilst it is being filmed in the South West of England. I'm busy, busy, busy at the moment. Hope that you will all forgive me for lack of updates.
