I have been a member here for some time. I read only Lost World Fics, unless a friend refers me to another. I'm a member of three other boards about Lost World, and was initially attracted to the program because I grew up liking jungle adventure shows and real life books by hunters, naturalists, and explorers. I have a whole bookcase of African and Indian hunting and adventure books alone. I am also a firearms enthusiast (and writer) , an amateur naturalist, and have other background areas that assist me in writing The Lost World (TLW) stories. I also read many adventure and mystery novels. I've read the Tarzan books, and the original TLW book by Doyle. (But much prefer Sir Henry Rider Haggard's tale, "King Solomons' Mines", which predates TLW.)

I have written about 20 Fics, most posted on other boards. I hope to soon begin posting Fics here. It is useful to know that in my Fics, unless it is otherwise stated, all Fics occur after the Third Season, and disregard the cancelled Fourth Season. Thus, I have the characters having evolved past the Third Season. Ned Malone has returned, and Finn and Challenger have become a couple. Ned and Veronica and John and Marguerite have also committed to one another, and in the later Fics, have left the Plateau and are married. (The Malones live on the Plateau, but visit their friends in England and elsewhere, if the group travels.)

Jessie Challenger died of flu in 1921, clearing the way for George and Finn to marry. Finn retains Brazilian citizenship, as does Veronica. But Finn has also become a British subject in those late Fics. Vee is seeking US citizenship, after marrying Ned. Finn cuts George's hair and trims his beard, considerably improving his appearance over later TV seasons. Please keep these aspects of my Fics in mind as you read any that I manage to post here. That will save me having to repeat this information before every Fic. Should anyone wonder how George and Finn got together, that is answered in the Fic, "Challenger's Birthday", posted now on the Rachel Blakely board.

TLW is my only "Fandom". My other interests, other than those cited above, include astronomy, astrology (very different, I know), paleoanthropology and paleontology. I also like military history, and wrote a Fic about WWII pilots fighting the Japanese over Burma. The background information that I include in Fics is authentic. My interests help a lot in writing Fics. I hope that you will enjoy my stories when they appear here, if I can decipher the process to post them. The first should appear during May of 2009. I have never failed to complete a Fic that I've begun. If you devote your valuable time to reading my material, I won't lead you into a Fic, then abandon you. (Insert winking Smilie here.)
