| Bevin Brighteyes |
Author has written 10 stories for Gemma Doyle Trilogy, and Song of the Lioness. Quote: "There's nothing like writing an epic fight scene to make you feel like a complete tool." I, Bevin Brighteyes, do solemnly swear to review all the fics I enjoy, regardless of the number of reviews, its age, or anything else. All right. Well, I'm Bevin (honestly, I am--though my last name isn't 'Brighteyes'). I live in the US (obviously), but I'm a Brit at heart. I adore Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and any and all Tamora Pierce Books. I wouldn't hold your breath on me writing a HP fic--just the thought of writing Jo's world absolutely terrifies me. I can't do it. But I love reading it. I don't really like talking about myself, so this is awkward. And dry. You're still reading? What a trooper. Hm...oh! I'm in band. I play the clarinet, alto sax, and tenor sax, and conduct the marching band. My clarinets are named Luna and Neville (yes, siriusly). I'm pretty much constantly in the band room, and some fun characters I've come up with were inspired by my fellow bandmates. You really just can't make them up. In my spare time, though, I enjoy saving the world and being home in time for tea. Several countries owe their continued existance to me, and I own a vacation home on Pluto (the Plutonians are, by the way, insulted that humans took it upon themselves to deem their home not a planet). In other words, I have absolutely no life. I'm a huge canon shipper. If it's not canon, or at least have substantial evidence behind it, I probably don't support it. I also love, love, love debating about books. It's one of my favourite hobbies, actually. Which is sad. But true. Fluff is golden in my book, so long as it's well-written and interesting. But don't get me wrong--I love a good action/thriller. :D (I really can't believe you've read this far. Congratulations. Here's a cyber cookie.) I'm having a tough time finding time to write more than a few sentences a day (and making them coherant is a whole other battle), but believe me, I'm trying. Plot bunnies are vicious and keep me up at night, no matter how much I feed them. DFTBA, Nerdfighters! Feel free to add me on any of these. :D Fading Scars / Bitter Perfection UPDATE 2/28/09: After spending weeks--months, really--thinking about this, I've decided to end Fading Scars. I'm very, very sorry to those who were hoping for another update, but I've realized that I can't write an all-fluff story, it'll kill me. Honestly, it has been killing me trying to just write something to write something. I think it stands well as it is, so I decided to leave it on a good note, rather than ruining it with a bad third chapter. Once again, I am sorry to be such a disappointement, but I want to assure you all that it was a very hard decision to make, and I am very sad to see the story go. I want to thank everyone who reviewed or read it and want you to know that I appreciate everything you said about it. Similarly, Bitter Perfection is on a bit of a hiatus. It was meant as an update-as-I-see-fit sort of thing, and at the moment, I don't know where to go with it. I probably will continue with it eventually, though, rest assured! | |||||||||
