UPDATE: You guys don't really need to know this but I feel like putting it up. On August 15th, my family lost my mother. She was 74 years old and would have turned 75 in November. For the past seven mouths my mother had been battling cancer and on August 15th she finally lost that fight. She has had cancer four times before already plus a stomach rupture and had survived all five surgeries without ever taking any form of chemo or radiation whatsoever. My mother was an incredible person and one of the strongest women I have ever known and I will miss her dearly.

Ok, profile time so, here goes.

Life Will Be Life

Official summary: Mai-HiME/My-Otome AU Crossover. Shizuru and the rest of our favorite HiMEs and Otomes suddenly find themselves allied with a young foreigner that she ends up buying out of slavery. How will they're lives change now? Shiznat and others (hopefully).

You know, I honestly never really meant to take the plot as far as I have so far. Originally when I first decided to write this fic I was like: 'Ok, need a new fic to work with cause I'm all Kigoed out right now. What can I do? Let's see. I like anime, so I'll try an anime fic. What kind of animes do I like though? Yuri ones of course! So let's see what yuri animes I could work with. Which do I like? Kannazuki No Miko? Definitely, but I could never do it justice in a billion years. Strawberry Panic!? Possibly, but it's too hard to capture Shizuma's seductress qualities and Nagissa's naivety. Revolutionary Girl Utena? Nah, Anthy's too angsty and Utena's too much of a naive princeling to be totally badass. ...Even though I suck at writing badasses. Cutie Honey? Fun, but no. Godannar? Funny ass show, totally love Shadow and Luna, but no. Negima? Very fun, but no again. Yamibou? Hehehe, no... What else is there... Oh I know! Mai-HiME! But I liked My-Otome too. So crossover! XD Ok, let's see here... Badass Natsuki, win. Awesome Shizuru, win. Shiznat and others, win. Throw in a smart-assed badmouthing street urchin and we just might have something to work with! ...Or something like that.

Anyways my point is, I didn't originally intended to make the plot surrounding Kuma so intricate and complicated. It all just happened by accident but I'm still pretty proud of it all so far!

READ THIS!!: For those of you who are fans of LWBL, I AM SO SORRY!! I never meant to take this long to update this fic. Unfortunately I can't seem to find my muse as she seems to have wondered off to oblivion knows where and Natsuki seems to be busy kicking other authors around in order to get them writing again.

Update: I no longer have the inspiration or the drive to work on this story so I'm going to be deleting it soon. Just so you know.

Update #2: Well never mind that first update now, looks like I WON'T be deleting LWBL. GodDANG I didn't realize how many of you actually genuinely LIKE this story dispite my own doubts in it. I don't know when I'll actually update it as I really need to re-read it first in order to get reacquainted with the feel of it before I can properly start working on it again. Also? I may or may not end up re-writing this story as there is a lot of things in it that I was never really satisfied with.

Mai Z-HiME Story Idea

Full Summary: AU and slight My-Otome crossover, set during the next school year after the Carnival. It’s the start of the new school year at Fuuka and the academy has entered into a special foreign exchange program with its sister schools all across the world in an attempt to try and help erase the lingering memories of the Carnival from the minds of its students by changing things up a bit. What surprises does the new school year have in store for the HiMEs?

I'm posting up some basic info and stuff here just to get it off my chest while I finish figuring everything out.

To begin with this story is supposed to be a slightly AU continuation of the Mai-HiME anime with a bit of a crossover with the My-Otome anime. I may also borrow bits and pieces from the manga versions of both (or at least based on the information I can find on the mangas) but not too much I don't think. The story is set one full year after the HiME Carnival and I have made some changes to the Cannon information. For instance everyone (and I do mean EVERYONE) needs to repeat a year on account of the fact that the battles caused a lot more property damage than they did in the actual anime and most, if not all, of the students ended up spending as much time out of school as they actually did in school so now everyone has to repeat a year to make everything up. The school and all its buildings have been rebuilt and some changes have been made to certain buildings, both the girls and the boys dorm buildings now have a group bathing area for the students to use in order to encourage student socialization. There are more changes but I'll either post them as I think of them or just reveal them in the story at some point or another.

Next let's move on to ages, for the sake of this fic nearly everyone’s ages have been slightly altered. I’ve done this mainly to help make sense of the fact that so many of them are apparently the same age in this 'continuation' fic despite having nearly an entire year pass since the actual Carnival from the ‘Cannon’ series. Not everyone’s ages are different but some are. Here's the list:

Harry Potter: Fleur/Hermione (because it's effin hilarious) or Hermine/OFC (just to see what I can do and also because Ron/Hermine makes no fucking what so ever. Honestly Rowling, what the fuck were you thinking?)

Mahou Sensei Negima: Konoka/Setsuna (for the win!)

Some Fic Ideas I'd love to write but haven't gotten around to yet:

A supernatural Kigo fic with werewolves and vampires: No Kim isn't a werewolf and Shego isn't a vampire or vice versa. Don't have a good name for this yet. Potential summary: Ron thinks that he knows everything there is to know about Kim and her family. After all, he and Kim have been best friends since pre-k right? But, when Kim’s long-lost cousin shows up bringing all kinds of surprises and secrets, even Kim begins to wonder about the side of her mother's family that’s she’s never known about. Things start to get a little more hectic than usual, especially when Ron starts acting up. Eventually Kigo with a few other pairings on the side of course, well hopefully anyway.

No Such Thing As Monsters: Don't let the name confuse you, it's a mostly Betty-centric KP fic with a couple of twists and some subtle hints of Betviv and Kigo. Don't have a good summary for this yet.

Teen Titans Starfire/Raven: A year after Trouble In Tokyo Starfire receives a summons from Tamaran to return to her home and a month goes by before Starfire returns, pregnant. And Robin isn’t the father. Abandoned by the boys a brokenhearted Starfire is shocked when Raven steps forward to support her. How will life change further for our heroes, the Teen Titans? Starts with RobStar, eventual RaeStar. Or something like that, done in either the Toon verse or the Comic verse even though I never read the comics. Or maybe some slightly alternate combination of the Toon and Comic verse.

D&D inspired Mai-HiME/My-Otome fic: No I have not lost my mind and no I am not a D&D geek, I have never played a session of Dungeons and Dragons in my life nor have I ever watched one or even know how the game works. I'm just using the source material for the game to help build my fantasy world for the story as well as using it as an excuse to write a high fantasy AU MH/MO fic. And also as an excuse as to why the story looks like something of a cross between 'slice of life' and 'heroic fantasy'. I said somewhat of a cross, it's not gonna be an exact cross between those to genres, it's mainly gonna be me doing the 'genre shuffle' in order to get the story written the way I want it. And as for the plot, we'll so how it goes. Possible story title is HiMEs & Orphans or something like that at least. I'm planning on rewatching both Mai-HiME and My-Otome. I REFUSE TO READ THE MANGAS!!! Honestly, how could you screw so much up? I'm fairly sure the manga for both came before the animes, but still! Erstin should never have died in the anime BUT JUST BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T KILL HER OFF IN THE MANGA DOES NOT JUSTIFY MAKING HER ALL GAGA OVER MANSHIRO! GRAGH! Ok, I'm done ranting...

Mai Z-HiME: This one will be set in a slightly AU version of the Anime Mai-HiME verse but hopefully not too AU, and is set about a year after the Carnival. There will be at least ONE OC in this fic but hopefully she won't sound as Mary-Sueish as Kuma does from LWBL. Characters from My-Otome will be making their appearances in this fic and some will even play a key role (heh, no pun-intended of course). Um, I will be making some changes but not any major ones I don't think and hopefully it will be as fun as I think it will, both from ya'lls point of view as the readers and mine as the author. I've posted a few small tidbits of information above.

Weird Pairings from Fandoms that barely exist or apparently no one has ever thought of along with some random thoughts/requests:

Tamora Pierce, The Circle Opens: Magic Steps: Sandry/Oama. Seriously? Am I the ONLY ONE who got the lesbian vibs from Sandry's female guard Oama? That can't be true. I would love to see someone right a fic with them Tamora Pierce style in which Oama has been silently trying to resist her attraction to her Lady but ultimately falling in love and choosing to love Sandry from afar but somehow Sandry herself has also come to love her guard in return. I know, I know, individuality and creativity is our bread and water as fanfic writers but I honestly believe that a story with these two, hell ANY story with these two, can only work in Tamora Pierce style. Personally I've been secretly waiting for the book in which Sandry realizes she's gay and falls in love with a girl. Or even the other way around where she honestly falls in love with a girl and realizes she's gay.

The Swan Princess: Princess Odette/FEMALE Prince Derek. Come on, how could you NOT want to read a fic like that? It would be beyond hilarious. In my opinion there would be no need to make any major changes aside from making Prince Derek a girl. Not a girl as in PRINCESS Derek, but a PRINCE Derek who just so happens to be secretly female. Everything else can stay the same personality and talent wise and even follow the film, we just need both of them to be girls. It would be beyond awesome.

... You know what? Why don't we just take ALL the great animated princesses/heroines and make all of their LOVE INTERESTS into girls? That would be sweet! Not to mention bad ass! Once again I don't think there would be any need to make any major changes to personalities and all that, just the guy's gender. Or vice versa for the films that concentrate on the guys, meaning we take the prince/hero and make him a she and keep their love interest as a girl.

Or for those of you who prefer Yaoi and what not we could do the opposite and make the princesses/heroines into males. Whatever floats your boat and makes you happy. It's all good. We just need more gaydom. Period.

And can somebody please start coming up with more Fpreg fics? You know, girls getting other girls pregnant? We have so much Mpreg it's almost ridiculous but never enough Fpreg.

Hermione/Bellatrix. It's so insane it's PERFECT. I love reading a story with these two where an author can get the characterization for both of these woman absolutely spot on.
