Author has written 40 stories for Torchwood, and Doctor Who. Hmmmm, how shall I start? I'm seventeen and I live in Birmingham, studing my AS-levels. I'm hoping to take a foundation art course and then go on to do either Fine Art, Illustration or Computer Visualisation/Animation for a degree. Ultimately, I want to do concept design and concept art for TV (BBC all the way, man), films and theatre. I don't always channel my creativity into my art, as I should, but I'm sure you'll all agree that the fic that turns out is entirely preferable! Mind you, if I could get away with drawing Jack and the Gang for the rest of my career, I would be a very happy camper indeed! As it is, my art teachers are gently but firmly steering me away from drawing celebrities and photorealistic stuff... Seeing as my AS Art coursework section was essentially all about the Ninth and Tenth Doctors, I think I'll heed their advice! Who knows though, I may bring back my boys when I get some spare time in my art world =) o.o Torchwood It's blatantly obvious that I'm a Janto fangirl - that hardly needs saying. I also ship Jack/Tosh when it's set just after her release from the UNIT holding facility. My reasoning is that at that point, Jack knows that she needs to feel valued and human again and that the best way to do that is prove to her what a beautiful person she is. I'm hoping to investigate this a little in the future. I'm prone to do alot of Gwen-bashing, so beware, but I'm attempting to write her into some of my fics as a much more sympathetic character. She may seem a little OoC at points, but that's a deliberate choice of mine in an attempt to realise the potential of her character. I love Eve Myles and I think that Gwen is poorly written and very poorly thought out. I'm also prone to do alot of Torchwood fic with the Doctor popping up - he's so cool he can do whatever he wants! I don't know why I write him, but sometimes, he's fun to get in the gang. ((I'm working on a Nine!fic with Rose and pre-immortality!Jack which will appear sometime in the summer... I've never written those three characters before, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out!)) I also like writing Captain John as he is in KKBB, evil and devastatingly gorgeous - he just loses some of the appeal in Exit Wounds for me =( o.o And So It Begins... Again ((On the back burners for the forseeable future - it needs a dramatic overhaul and I need to sit down and spend a couple of hours updating all the chapters and generally smartening it up. I probably won't get time until the summer, so I'm really sorry!)) o.o Just Like a Man 1. Just Like a Man (lyrics by del Amitri) Jack returns after his 'Year' away with the Doctor to find things aren't exactly how he left them - and he's not content to let them stay that way. This series basically covers their relationship being much deeper and clearer than in the show, making Iantot he one who Jack finally lets himself be with completely (seeing as he was that first person he was with once he knew for certain that there was nothing to be done to reverse his immortality) o.o The One Accidental Step Further Series 1.
