Hi everyone.
Name: Jenny
Age: 18.
Location: North-West England.
Occupation: Student at college. Currently in the middle of A- Level exams.
First of all, thanks to Elledreamer who finally persuaded me to make a fanfiction account, which is something I've been intending to do for some time now but never got around to it.
I absolutely adore old films and musicals, especially ones from the 30s, 40s and 50s. It was the best time for cinema and the world will never again see new films as good as the ones they made then. Some of my favourite musicals are 'Summer Stock', 'In the Good Old Summertime', 'My Fair Lady', 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers' and, of course, the incomparable 'Singin' in the Rain'.
My favourite fanfictions to read are Harry Potter and House M.D. I like reading House/Cameron as I think they would be great together, although my best friend doesn't agree and insists on telling me so as often as she can. She prefers Chase to House.
Previously mentioned best friend is the one I have to blame for my coming to love many things in my life. House, for example. She introduced me to the first series and is, therefore, the reason I am completely hooked. (I confess that before I watched it I was rather bemused by her fascination with, what was decribed as, 'A medical drama-y thing kind of like Casualty but not.') After the first episode I understood completely. Plus it has the marvellous Hugh Laurie in which is no bad thing. I'm always amazed by how good his American accent is and the outstanding talent he displays.
She was the one who lent me 'Singin' in the Rain' and so is directly responsible for my complusion to watch any films with Gene Kelly in it, no matter what the synopsis is or who else stars in it. I admire many stars of the older films and love getting lost in that world. The reason for this was phrased most perfectly by my friend- 'They had class. Simple as that. You'd never catch them falling out of taxis with no underwear on.'
One of my favourite things to do is reading and I always take a book to college or on a car journey with me, regardless of whether it is too dark, or I don't think I will have time to read it.
Throughout my childhood, I had many ambitions. Like all little girls, I wanted to be a vet, a teacher or an actress. But I always return to one thing. At five years old I wanted to be a novelist, now at eighteen I still do. I love writing and would like nothing more than to be able to do it for the rest of my life.
I, JenniferJ89, have challenged myself! I'm proud to be a part of the HPFC forum.
Pairings.
These are the pairings that I support/write for.
House M.D.
House/Cameron. I think they'd be great together and she's the only one with even the smallest chance of bringing him a little happiness. And he deserves to be happy. Well, happier. If he was ecstatically joyful all the time he wouldn't be our House now would he? Things wouldn't be easy for them but then, as Shakespeare says, 'The course of true love never did run smooth.' I can handle Wilson with Cuddy but not Cameron/Chase or House with anyone but Cameron.
Harry Potter
Lily/James. Because we all know it has a happy ending. Ish. Apart from the eventual murder, I mean. It just intrigues me how these two came to be a couple. What's their story?
Harry/Ginny. She's more than a match for our hero. She's proven she is brave and loyal and has waited patiently for years. The development of their relationship over the seven books fascinated me. But then I liked reading about the relationships between everyone else as well. I love the interaction between all the characters.
Hermione/Ron. Ah, what a fiery couple. Fight like cat and dog but love each other regardless. They have a unique relationship that was obvious to everyone except them very early on. I waited for this to happen throughout the books and when it finally did I was delighted.
Just want to say thanks to everyone who reviewed 'Excuses.' I keep going back and re-reading the reviews whenever I'm in need of some cheering up. For my first multi-chapter story, I'm very proud of it and I'm glad that a lot of people enjoyed it.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Jenny.
