Gimme!gimme!) The Mummy (Ardeth Bey) I speak survival Mandarin (as I lived in China for just over a year and learnt the language while I was there). This means that I can read a menu (and successfully avoid such delights as intestine, heart, and dog) and if I found myself stranded in the middle of nowhere I'd be able to make my way back to civilisation with no problems. I have every intention of picking my Mandarin back up in the next few years. I want to be fluent in this. (Oh, and miming is your friend. If you ever want to know how to mime "I want the loudest alarm clock in the store just ask me. I'll be happy to demonstrate grin). I speak extremely basic Japanese. Enough to order food and ask someone "Where am I and who are you?"... I can also swear quiet fluently... I'm currently learning Polish... but it's rather hard..and their grammar gives me nightmares! I may never move beyond "Hello!", "Goodbye/night/evening/etc", and "Shut up!" (I'm a teacher, that last one is very important!) | |||||||
