Hello! My name's Kaleigh, and, no, you're not getting a last name. Anyway, I'm a teen and joined this because, well, honestly I'm just bored. Some of my favorite books are Lord of the Rings, Outsiders, Eragon, Twilight (or it was until the popularity made me disgusted with it!), The Hidden Queen, The DragonRiders of Pern books, and the Redwall Series. Mainly Lord of the Rings. Obsessed with Legolas & Gimli, as are a lot who like the series, but also Glorfindel and Erestor. Boromir's one of my faorite characters, too, despite how evil everyone seems to think him. Hmmph. Some awesome movies are Lord of the Rings, X-Men, Star Wars, practically any Stephen King, and, surprisingly, Star Trek. After I saw the movie I decided to watch the first Original Series episode... and the second... the third... I've looked up the first fifteen episodes in less than a month, I believe. As if I wasn't all ready nerdy enough. :P And why are there always those Colgate commercials on the videos online? Is that only with Star Trek? Cuz now when I see a Colgate commercial on TV I check all the channels to see if TOS might be on... it never is. :(

In regard to my stories, I would like to apologize for going so slowly with them both. I write when I have good ideas for the story. If I force myself to write with no ideas, the story will be terrible. Sorry!

Gay Marriage:

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, liposuction and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open doors to all kinds of crazy behaviour. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has a legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriages will be less meaningful if gay marriages are allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the value of one religion are imposed upon the entire country. That's why we only have one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life-spans... --
