Author has written 28 stories for Labyrinth, Harry Potter, 10th Kingdom, Phantom of the Opera, Batman the Animated Series, and Beetlejuice. Hello and Welcome to the profile of Kore-of-Myth. I answer to Kore if my penname takes too much time to type, and it is pronounced as KOH-ree. This account is home to all my Labyrinth fics, and the first Harry Potter and 10th Kingdom fics I posted. I'm one of those people who reads several fandoms - in fact I've found myself reading things from all the following: Alice in Wonderland, Disney, Harry Potter, Labyrinth, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Peter Pan, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Princess Bride, Muppets Tonight, Fairy Tales, Series of Unfortunate Events, and Greek Mythology. I love long, engaging stories - especially well-written OC's. If you have a suggestion, I'd love to read it! I've written, and plan to write original characters but I work at keeping them from being Mary Sues. I despise that horrid monster and do all I can to keep her out of my writing. Parodies where she is tortured, maimed, or killed are an exception of course. If you happen to be looking for graphic situations you've come to the wrong author. The closest thing you'll find to that in my writing is a simple fade out - and even that should be rare in what I've written. I happen to have been lurking here for a while - nearly a year. I've joined up in March of 2008 and am glad to finally be an official member of this online community! I've been writing anonymous reviews under the names 'ElizaHPFAN' and 'ElizaH+PFAN' in case you were wondering. For other stories, aside from the ones under this page, at Underground, and my Dea Avernorum account, I'm also taking part in marti-n-danika's story, Fwd_Fwd_FaeMail. I'm Toby, and having a blast with this! Definitely a must read for those who love Laby humor! I've also contributed to the round robin that is Songs of the Labyrinth - it's a fun piece with the talents of myself, Mysteriamoon, and sylphxpression. I'm going to do NaNoWriMo this year! Each of the below sections are on some of my stories: A Different Journey: The whole thing was planned. Certain words were to be said and certain rules were to be followed. Elisa is not your average Laby-fan, and she is going to prove that you do not have to be a Mary-Sue or be Sarah to run the Labyrinth. Cliche bashing galore! The Story Behind the Story: This story sprouted from a few different things. It was first inspired by a dream I had where I was forced to run the Labyrinth without seeing the movie. Instead I had only read fanfictions based on it and used this as a guide through the Labyrinth. This story was also inspired by becoming fed up with the cliches of fanfiction and a way to fight them. This started out as just a humor fic entirely in Elisa's POV but soon after starting writing I realized that this story had a lot of potential. Soon, Jenny, Case, and Jareth all wanted their stories told as well and now it has branched out. This is mainly an Adventure fic, but it has fair dose of humor as well. This is truly a joy to write and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. Related Links: Move Along- This is the song Elisa hums in Chapter Four while walking through the Labyrinth. This song is by The All-American Rejects. Dance Magic- Doubt this one needs much explanation. Here's a clip from the move of 'Dance Magic' or 'Magic Dance' as it's called, and is sung in my fic in Chapter Five. Obviously this song is by David Bowie. Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner - When Elisa passes on the Mp3 player in Chapter Eight, this is the song that plays. I don't think anyone actually cares though...sung by Fall Out Boy. Thnks Fr Th Mmrs - During Chapter Ten Case, Jen, and the goblins sing and dance to this song by Fall Out Boy. May or may not be worth your time - but I'll let you know that the music video is hilarious. I'm Still Here (Jim's Theme) - Probably the most important of the songs here - but this is the song Elisa sings during Chapter Ten. It is highlyyou recommended you listen to this song during/before reading this chapter. Not neccessary, but recommended. The music video isn't that great, so my personal suggestion would be to click the link, as it'll open in a new window, and then begin reading the chapter. This song is sung by Johnny Rzeznik. Me Against The World - In Chapter Seventeen Elisa goes a bit crazy, and becomes a typical teen rebel. She breaks out into song to give herself some courage, and the readers laugh at her throughout...There isn't any video, just a recording, but if you want to listen go on ahead. It's sung by Simple Plan (more like shouted) and it's up to you whether you listen or not. o00o Take Me Away has been removed at this time. Thanks to all those who reviewed, commented, or favorited but this fic really shouldn't have been posted in the first place, and it's taught me some lessons on Fanfiction that are very important. Another of my stories which has been deleted is Sev and Mione! The Musical!. While writing this fic was a blast, and I got some lovely reviews - I really don't think I'll ever continue it. I'm slowly backing away from the Harry Potter fandom, and am trying to focus my time on some of my original fiction, and more serious novel-length fanfictions. Thanks to everyone who read it!
