Author has written 3 stories for Death Note. (Edit: 09/20/09) Seeing as I have fallen completely out of the Death Note fandom loop lately, my ongoing fic "Beyond Redemption" is on hiatus until further notice. I have not yet abandoned it, but I have become disillusioned with my own vision for the story and have no current plans for updating it. I am waiting to see if inspiration will ever strike me again for finishing this story. I sincerely apologize to anyone who continues to care.
And welcome to my shiny lil' profile! ...Yus. ABOUT ME: In General: AGE: 19 OCCUPATION: 2nd year Fine Arts student. Majoring in painting and photography. In Relation to This Site: I love Death Note fanfic because it allows me to further explore this brilliant series through the eyes of other people far more insightful than I. I am totally smitten with L, Light, and B. I tend to somewhat neglect the rest of the cast in favor of obsessing over the three of them. L/Light is definitely my OTP. When done well, it's endlessly captivating; I think it's great how easily it can switch from being the source of heartache, to the source of hearty lulz. :) B/L follows closely behind. Now there's a fascinating pairing. I find B is the most sympathetic and relatable character of all for some absurd reason, and I think my writing probably shows that. The murderous little oddball has a very special place in my heart. Above all, I cherish those fics that remind me of what a thought-provoking and densely-layered series Death Note is. Also, I'd love to get your constructive criticism on my writing sometime. ..No seriously, I totally need it. Awesome Quote I find very True and Relevant to this Site: "In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face is that, in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is much more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. However, there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new." --(Anton Ego, Ratatouille) ..Well. Uhh. That's about it, I guess. Cheers! :D | |||||||
