Kingdom Hearts: Genesis of Destiny

Following the fall of Organization XIII, a new force of darkness threatens the universe. Sora, Riku, and Kairi, along with new allies Claudio, Rain, Edward Elric, and Alphonse Elric, are forced to travel the galaxy once more to combat this new foe. The Immortals. Twelve powerful beings concerned only on their own immortality and a secret goal involving 'sacrifices'. Maleficent is also active again with her new allies in her ever prevalent goal of collecting the Princesses of Heart. In addition, they must pass out and grant the ability to wield Keyblades. The purpose and reason remains shrouded but they must succeed as a new darkness is on the horizon. Just now, the heroes have begun walking down the road of destiny, but it is unknown what they will see as they travel down this path

1. Your favorite KH guy?

Roxas. He is less of a Shonen-stereotype than Sora. From what of seen of the boss fights, this guy can go! He is smarter than Sora, has an interesting (and legitamently sad) storyline and the way he thinks and acts seems more real.

2. Your favorite KH girl?

Kairi. A very sweet and caring girl that seems to have some attitude to her. Plus, great treatment by fans on this site. But, I still am Larxene's number one fanboy

3. Your least favorite KH guy? Why?

Lexaues. He's just a useless lump. And he is so freaking stupid! Yes, let's knock out the kid possessed by the uber demonic force, cause we all know that possession NEVER happens when the subject is UNCONSCIOUS!! F'n Stupid!

4. Your least favorite KH girl? Why?

I kinda like them all (or at least find them tolerable)

5. Favorite World? (Includes both KH1 and KH2)

Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden; especially in KH1

Wonderland and Monstro

I don't like pairings too much, I leave that up to the creators, but Sora/Kairi. It's canonical and it helps drive Sora and acts as his weakness

12. Least Fav. Pairing? (includes yaoi couples) Why?

I dislike Riku/Sora, but i can see the perverse logic behind it (I'll get to that another day). Sora/Roxas is just so wrong! Not only is it very, very, VERY heavily implied that both are straight, but they are closer than brothers! It goes beyond incest

The yaoi pairings where the two people are not in any scenes together and never speak to one another (Xigbar/Demyx, Zexion/Demyx). The logical yaoi is somewhat tolerable but this is just a random brainfrick on unbelievable proportions

SECTION TWO: Do you believe it, or not believe it?

17. Do you believe in the Xemnas/Saix theory!

No! Attention Fangirls: Just because one guy takes orders from another and treats them with respect, DOESNT MEAN THEY ARE IN LOVE!! If a soldier obeys his CO and respects him, they are not doing the backseat mambo in the barracks after drills! Not to mention they seem only able to process negative emotions and Xemnas is the only Nobody totally devoid of emotion so there is no way in hell this theory can hold water. If Nomura reveals that this theory is correct, I will tape myself eating my Sora action figure, post it on Youtube and post a link here! There, I think I made my point.

18. Do you believe that Zexion is emo?

No. He just has a trendy hair style and acts like a Nobody should. He also isn't a total loser that just whines about stuff but offer no solutions. He is cool, calculative and proactive against Marluxia. He is cool, not emo

19. Do you believe that Marluxia is gay?

No. He's badass. It takes a badass to have pink...everything, fight with flower petals and still be a credible and awesome villain. I still wished that Crispin Freeman voiced him though...That'd been sweet!

20. Do you believe that Kairi is the most annoying character in KH?

No. Pence, Hayner, Olette, Rai and Lexaues fill that spot

SECTION THREE: Answer Yourself!

21. If Roxas had to choose either Namine or Olette, who would you root for? Why?

Namine. It's symbolic to the Kairi/Sora thing, given the ending of KH2 it makes total sense and Namine seems to really care for Roxas

22. What's your theory on KH: Birth by Sleep?

The Knights are related to Sora, Kairi and Riku. The Enigmatic Soldier is the Xehanort that we know (or somehow Xehanort absorbs Kingdom Hearts to become younger). By the end of the game, there will (or should) be a flash-forward where Mickey explains this stuff to someone. Maleficent will reveal her true desire for collecting the Princesses of Heart. The Snow White World will be effing annoying.

23. Was Chain of Memories a waste of time?

No. The PS2 version is wonderful and the GBA version, while flawed in a few ways, is still a fun diversion (despite the ass marketting...seriously, I didn't know there was a second Kingdom Hearts game until TWO YEARS after it came out)

24. If you had the choice of meeting ONE (and ONLY ONE!) KH character, who would it be?

As cool as it would be to spend the day with Kairi, Namine or more than half the Organization, I'm gonna have to say Larxene. The Larxene that we see is like the surface and I would love to just pick at her brain to see how she ticks and just who she is. I might get shocked and stabbed a few times but, hey, I can dig it.

25. Which KH character do you relate to the most? Why?

Roxas. We are both bound to fits of anger and severe depression. We both question our identity and purpose in life and we both have an idiotic friend to hang out with (who, ironically, there names our anagrams of one another)

26. What's the most embarrassing moment that ever happened to you that had something to do with KH?

Beating Sephiroth on KH2 after seven straight suicide attempts and then proclaiming and partying wildly only to have my mother yell up from the garden to "settle down"

27. Have you ever cosplayed as a KH character? If so, who? If not, who would you like to cosplay as?

Not yet, but I would do Roxas. I just need the clothes and but some gel in my hair

28. The Funniest Moment in all of KH would be...?

Hearing Vexen's Japanese laugh in Japanese Final Mix+. If you have never heard it, you have to. This is like so insane, there are remixes of this!

Also, Xaldin, who is a total bitch to fight but he gets pushed around by Belle of all people. I wish we could use an elbow to the gut in battle, that seems to be his weakness.

29. The Hardest Enemy/Boss was...?

Demyx is annoying but when you memorize his pattern, no prop

Xaldin is a pain in the collective ass of all gamers

Xehanort in his second for where it is just Sora is hard because of the length and the non-stop Guardian possession

But the hardest without a doubt is Sephiroth in KH1. He is such a pushover in Final Fantasy VII, I can beat him with a single attack in multiple ways (Omnislash, Knights of the Round and Vincent with the Death Penalty Glitch), but this guy is next to impossible. I have gotten him down to a quarter of his last bar, ran out of elixirs and was beaten down in a few seconds. There is a difference between hard and assholishly cheap!

30. What was a good addition in KH2 that made it oh-so-addictive?

While I have gripes on some changes (shorter worlds, less puzzles, Olympus tournaments are frustrating not fun) there are a lot of improvements. A darker storyline (which will hopefully continue so it can become Final Fantasy-esque), more fluid and fun combat, a WINNABLE fight against Sephiroth (although i wanted more optional bosses, like another Kurt Zisa), a much more fluid and easier Synthesis system, Organization XIII (but I wanted to have all 13 not just eight; stupid COM marketting) and some wonderful moments of character (anything with Roxas/Namine/Axel; Sora begging Saix to take him to Kairi...great stuff)

Ven looks too much like Roxas. Terra looks like Zack. Aqua and Xion look similiar to Kairi. Axel looks like Reno. Larxene looks like Elena the Turk. Xemnas looks like Rudger from Yugioh 5Ds. Riku looks like Kiryu Kyosuke, also from 5Ds. Young Xehanort looks like Blade from Needless. Sora looks like Black Star from Soul Eater if he dyed his hair blue. I don't know why, but I feel like Greed from FMA could be a young Xigbar.

48. Which new KH game can you abosolutely NOT wait for?

358/2 Days and Birth By Sleep. Coded, meh. Who cares. I need to get a PSP and DS though. Also, I can't wait until Nomura announce more games. Specifically, games that take place within the main timeline and with the regular characters

49. Do you like KH1 or KH2 better? Why?

I like KH2 for the better combat and story but KH1 for the worlds and puzzles (Seriously, the worlds in KH2 are so smaller compared to their KH1 counterparts. Case and point, the Cave of Wonders Area. Its like 4 areas in KH2 and like 12 in KH1)

In the end, I give my verdict to KH2 cause it helps advance and evolve the franchise

50. LAST QUESTION! What makes Kingdom Hearts one of the best games in the world!?

It is the perfect fusion of Final Fantasy, Disney and its own unique style. Furthermore, it combines my past (Disney), present (FF) and future (KH) in such a seemless way. At first what I thought would be a one shot way to distract me in between Final Fantasy release has become a new RPG obsession for me. I honestly hope that this series becomes as popular as the series that spawned it. God Bless Tetsuya Nomura!
