Lately, I've been playing a lot of Coldplay, the Hush Sound, Iron & Wine, and Muse. Ships: I'll honestly ship almost anything. It takes a lot to make me squick. By the way, that's reflected in my writing sometimes. Be warned. Fandoms Artemis Fowl: I don’t write much for this fandom anymore, but my favorite characters are Artemis and Opal. It’s fun to examine their mental issues. :D I ship A/H with the occasional A/O. A Handmaid’s Tale: Okay, so I’ve only written one fic for it, but it deserves its own blurb because it’s the only one in the category. Why is it that no one writes Atwood FanFiction? ;_; Anyhow, I use the characters to philosophize/explore random ideas that I’ve had on my mind. So yes, they are basically all self-inserts. Harry Potter: Another fandom I don’t touch much. There’s so much Harry Potter FanFiction out there that I probably don’t have anything super exciting to add. Except for weird ships. Those are cool, especially because I’m not too into H/G or Hr/R. Maximum Ride: I mess around with MR so much because James Patterson wrote some characters that are very open to interpretation. I tend to like writing whitecoat fic more than flock fic, because Max annoys the hell out of me. Sometimes I’ll write random ships just for the heck of it; other than that, it’s usually something serious and angsty. D: Oryx and Crake: I call this category my baby because I had to ask them to create it. I love anything by Margaret Atwood, because her characters are so interesting. Oryx & Crake gives me an excuse to write introspective fic. I don’t really have an OTP for the fandom, but I’ll read pretty much anything if it’s well-written. Wicked: I write book-verse, not musical-verse. Don’t get me wrong, both are fantastic, but for different reasons: the book for the content and the musical for the music. :D I’m not extremely active in this fandom, but I do enjoy poking the characters around. It’s another one of those great self-reflection fandoms. I ship Gelphie because it’s totally there, and also Liir/Trism (I couldn’t think of a proper smushname for that one; PM me if you have one), but I’ll probably read anything. Other/Original: I have written for a few other fandoms, but they’re not that major for me. However, most of my stuff is, in general short and introspective or short and random shipping. I don’t do chapter fics too well. : I have posted a few of these on other sites, check my LJ (link below) if you want to read it that much. I don’t haunt other sections of FFn, really, though I have read some fantastic Death Note fic thanks to a few obsessive people I know. I’m also always looking for some good Twilight parody, because those books are not exactly the best in teen lit/vampire stories. Writing, in General JulNoWriMo 2009: After a (not-so) long internal debate, I decided that I wasn’t going to finish my NaNo and, if I do anything with it, I will take the basic idea and rewrite it. I’m writing a dystopian sort of novel, I suppose, entitled K. And you probably won’t see me on here during July (like I’m here anyways…) because I’ll be cramming for wordcount. Screnzy 2009: Won with 152 (ish) pages of unfinished adventure script entitled The Ugly Assassin. All of it was written because my friend and I decided one day that there needed to be a movie with an assassin that was not dashing and perfect. Sadly, we didn't really specify anything else, so it's sort of 152 pages of ridiculousness. NaNoWriMo 2008: Won with 60,090 words. I worked on two pieces during the time, one entitled Uber that was written as a sort of competition with Nathan-p, vertigo, and Adrienne (though the latter two dropped out) from MR UK. It is finished and, once Nathan convinces me to just finish typing the damn thing, will be posted. So keep your eyes peeled. New World (Hiatus, probably permanently. Sorry): Ms. Janssen’s by-half plan has succeeded and Omega has grown old in the world of his creation. He talks about how he was made into the person that he is, and what he went through to create the perfect world of Itexicon’s imagination. One-Shots: Are just that, one-shots. It amazes me how many people ask me to continue with them once I’ve already said it was a one-shot. And complete. So unless I say otherwise (like with the Love series), it will not be continued. Taken Away: Most likely dead. I love Opal, but I just haven't written it in so long that I don't know if I'll finish it.
