Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter. Well, Hello. I've never really been very good at these sorts of things. Who the heck actually reads them anyways? Whatever. Basic Info: I am eighteen, a girl, and generally pretty normal. I like my family, I have a horse named Fitzwilliam (after Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice), I love reading, and in the fall I will be attending Mount Royal to get my Bachelor of Arts Majoring in English, and minoring in either Medieval European History or Linguistics. (I haven't decided yet.) This will be my first year. I am very excited! I love writing, and I am working on a few of my own original stories as well as a Trilogy as well as my numerous fanfictions. I hope to one day be published, but if not, I want to work in a Publishing House somewhere and watch everyone else get published. :) And, actually, I am kind of leaning towards being a teacher. I don't know why, I've never considered it before. And I really, really hate mornings, and most schools start at nine. Blah. Maybe later. I think I would teach either history or english though. I guess we'll see. FanFic News: Happily Ever After: I am re-writing this. Not so much with the plot, but the writing level. I started it when I was sixteen and looking back I can see exactly where I started improving. I'd like it to have continuity before I keep going with it, so I will be making my way with each chapter before I finally write Chapter Twelve. It's a pretty fluffy story. Not much in the way of deep emotional baggage or massive obstacles. It's simple and how I would like my own life to be, romance wise. Draco and Ginny are young in this story (only like twenty-one and twenty), so they haven't quite worked themselves out yet. They haven't cemented their own personalities, and they're still figuring out who they want to be and what they want, and they haven't yet (or at least Draco hasn't) realized that love is more of a lifestyle than any one feeling. If their characters kind of bounce around a little bit, its because they aren't mature enough to fully grasp their own emotions. They had their childhood and teenage years interrupted by a war, and they never really got to just hang out and flirt and be immature. This is their time. I am writing it to be a feel-good story. Don't judge them too harshly. If you want to critique (I welcome it), critique the technicalities, or mistakes with the plot or whatever. I make lots of them. Bringer Of Fire: You know, I've been thinking about it, and I really don't think I am the right person to write this sort of story - dark, dramatic and depressing. I am such a (usually) happy person that writing this just comes out flat when it's coming from me. I don't really know how to do it justice right now, and so I have decided to officially state that BRINGER OF FIRE IS ON HOLD. Maybe one day, after I've finished the original fiction I am working on right now, and after I've completed the three stories I actually LIKE working on, I will come back and take another look at it. But honestly, looking at it now, I just feel kind of embarassed to have it on here. So, farewell evil Ginny, I hope your ending is happier than the one I had planned out for you. :) Blood And Connection: I have never done a Draco/Hermione story before, and I am very excited about it. I don't have much information for this, except that I am thinking it will be just about as long as Bringer of Fire will end up being (about twenty chapters) and it will be much less dark. It has a sober beginning, but Hermione hasn't yet realized that her ending doesn't have to be as painful as her beginning. It will have some intrigue and a bit of adventure, but not 'action-ey'. But both Hermione and Draco get to be pretty kick-ass in this one. :) Revenge: At the behest of the readers, and every single person who reviewed, this is going to be a chaptered fic. Like HEA, it is almost entirely plotless, and essentially a light, funny, feel-good story with very little to it. I am having a great deal of fun writing it though. It won't be a very long story, probably only five or six chapters. And, as I discovered as I was reading it aloud to my male cousin, it is a very female oriented story. Lots about clothes and hair and snogging. One-Shots: I took them all down to edit. I am trying to clean up my sites. I took them all down at the other sites too. They will come back. And I will write more. There is no insomnia cure like writing a three thousand word short story at two in the morning. :) I am also at grangerenchanted.com, portkey.org, harrypotterfanfiction.com, and hopefully will be up soon at fictionalley.org and mugglenet.com. All are under mynewgenesis, with the exception of hpff.com, where it is my_new_genesis. I LOVE revies, and LOVE messages even more. Love Alex. | |||||||||||
