I'm a 21 year old male studying Software Engineering in my native Scotland.

I love stories of pretty much any variety. Some of the TV series I like include Stargate, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, The Wire, Buffy, Angel, Supernatural, Smallville, House, Heroes and The West Wing. In books I am a keen fan of Tolkien, Pratchett and Rowling, among others.

Characters with personal demons or flaws are the most interesting ones to me. Accordingly I tend to like characters such as House, Leo McGarry, Saul Tigh, Rodney McKay and so forth.

I particularly enjoy reading inventive plots, unusual pairings and 'what if' scenarios but also anything well-written with a solid story.

As for writing, I get ideas for stories all the time and just recently I've tried writing them out. My personal view is that my imagination is better than my ability to write but I try to improve as I go and hopefully a few people enjoy reading my stuff.
