Poll: It's official, Beast Boy and Raven kissed in the Teen Titans comics. What do you think? Heat of the moment, or official canonization? 'Canonization' means the couple is official, like Rob/Star was after Trouble In Tokyo. Vote Now!

(NOTICE: These are the animated series/cartoon's ships. I can't speak for the comic ones, since I've never read them before.)

Pairings I support :

Rob/Star: It's one of those 'meant for each other' classic Disneyland couples. What else is there to say?

BB/Rae: I used to support BB/Terra instead, but... then I actually saw canonity in the newer 'classic' comics, AND in the newer spinoff ones, for example, TTG Issue 42 'Pieces of Me', Raven's emotional sides all break loose in Jump City... and her Affection side was basically plastered onto Beast Boy. Yes, 'plastered'. Basically, she wasn't coming off any time soon. BB actually had to take her on a date to get her to come back to the Tower (Where they would combine all the other sides back into the Raven they knew). Update: AAAAHHHH, BB/RAE IS CANON/OFFICIAL IN THE COMICS! lol, I guess my switch from BB/Terra to BB/Rae wasn't so bad after it :D

Cy/T-Car: Hey, it's a joke pairing, but he really does obsess over that thing! :P

Pairings I'm neutral about:

BB/Terra: I used to support this, but after the Aftershock episodes and the end of the 2nd Season, and again at 'Things Changes', it kind-a became obvious that even though Beast Boy had a huge crush on her, Terra, in the end, didn't make the connection. So, yeah, you can't have a pairing when only one half of it loves the other half. Sorry BB/T shippahs, though, I have to admit, BB/T is uber cute too : D

Rob/Terra: Ehh, this one breaks a lot of cannon couples, but I'm still neutral. And the shippers with this one don't go after rival ships that much, so I'm cool with them and their ship. :D

Pairing I hate:

Rob/Rae: Holy William Shatner... Holy BATMAN! (Yes my opinion on this ship is that bad..) Whoever made this pairing IS EITHER DUMB, MORONIC, OR BOTH! I mean, come on, does the concept of True Love not make you realize THIS PAIRING HASN'T AND WILL NEVER EXIST! Robin and Starfire hooked up in Tokyo. Raven has a sisterly connection to Robin, just like she has one to Starfire. Even Glen Muramaki(sp?) himself dissed the pairing, saying Season 4 had a Brother/Sister relationship going on between Robin and Raven, nothing more. Plus, have you ever tried telling the usual Rob/Rae fan that their pairing is unreal? You'll get a ton of grade-school your-momma insults for you can even blink. On the bright side, at least it's not the next pairing...

Slade/Raven: There's actually people out here that take the whole "Metal mysterious bad guy" and try to make him sexy and hot and pair him up with the "Good Bad Girl". That'd be great, if it was even in-character to begin with. I mean come on, it would take some serious working to make the pairing work. And even then... Slade/Rae? That's like... pedophile territory.

BB/Star: Ok, seriously, I THINK AN ANTI-BB/RAE FAN MADE THIS PAIRING. Or someone that wanted to compete with the impossbility that is Rob/Rae. There's no sense in this pairing at all. Nuff said. (YES, NUFF DID SAY THAT! I HEARD HIM!)

GayRobin/GayBB AND LesbianStar/LesbianRae: Just because you're gay doesn't mean the character you like is too. I mean, sure, the thought of Starfire and Raven trading tongue grabs may get lesbian girls all wet ( and guys too.. lol), and the idea of Robin and-... You get the point. But that doesn't make it worth writing about, or shipping. Sure, you want Robin and Beast Boy to have gay sex. Best keep that info to yourself, K? Oh, and the only way Starfire would kiss someone is if she got super-excited. I mean, come on, that has to be in-character somewhere.. xD

Slade/Anyone Under his Age: I mean, Slade/Madame Rouge. That one is far-out there (to me), but better than... Slade/Teen? Eurgh. Slade/Starfire. That's like a 30-something man having sex with a 15-year-old. Same with Raven. Same with Terra. Sure, I understand Slade/Terra is ACTUALLY CANON in the comics (shiver) but it still makes Slade a pedophile when you write about him paired with teens, no matter how you stir it. Are people so arrogant they'd pair a mature adult with a young teenager? Come on, people.

Cy/Rae: And so again, we see people's ability to take a SINGLE friendship-oriented episode between Cyborg and Raven ('Car Trouble') and turn it into a pairing. It happened with The Prophecy, and it's happened again. I guess it's just a thing of nature for these types of shows. Impossible pairings will always exist, just like the people that make two characters into a couple on a whim, because they don't like the other character one of them is falling for.

Main Character/Author-Made Character: For the love of all the delicious pasties in the world, don't model a character after yourself and then go out and date Raven. Boyhood crushes don't make good fics, and they don't make good pairings either. Like all of the RandomCharacterMadeAfterMe/Rae fanart on DeviantArt. (shudder)

Jelly/PeanutButter: Okay, so I've run out of ideas.

Old copy pasties I had before the Tokyo movie came out.

If you think that Robin has hidden feelings for Starfire and won't admit to them, copy paste this into your profile! (I got this one after the episode 'Stranded'.)

Copy paste this if you think Trigon will make a comeback in the new movie. (I didn't expect the movie to be what it was... I expected... like... awesomeness and epicness run amuck with gunfights and every single scene from the Lethal Weapon movies! D: ... Yeah... Didn't happen)

THAT'S ALL FOLKS! Wait...

It's not the length of your story, it's the depth.
It's not what your reviewers think at the end of the story, it's what they FEEL at the end of the story.
It's not what the characters are saying through words, it's what the characters are saying through the feel.
It's the emotion, it's the scene. TV Shows leave out the detail in words because that's what the graphics are for. But in books, fanfiction... it's all in the words. In the words, around the words, and behind the words.

See, several other people operate with what "their idea" of the characters are. I don't. I take a character like Raven and I don't look at the stereotype... in all honesty, the stereotype for the Titans is just masking their complexity. Raven, the emotionless goth. Stereotype. Starfire, the girly girl. Stereotype. Beast Boy, the group joker. Stereotype. There's much more depth to the characters than just three closely associated words. You have to feel like the person you're writing about is just as real and in-depth as anybody else in reality, and make your readers feel that way too. If you achieve that level of depth with your characters in your fanfiction... Then you've done something great.

See, one of my fanfics, "To the Fans", was a mock-up of, basically, the idea of the show's characters saying what's on their mind. But to me, it was me testing a theory. The first half of the story was more character-based. Less gimmicky. I tried to think of what the characters themselves would rant about, not what I would want them to. The second half of the story was the Hollywood-style fanfiction with gimmicks, random inserted characters, comedic things, my views tossed in, and so on. It was obvious... the first chapter of Raven ranting was the big first hit. Reviewers liked it, complementing me for getting Raven so in-character. Next was Starfire, and again, I got compliments about getting her in-character... and also, for actually making her rant about things that her character would be "naturally irked" about. People mis-spelling her homeplanet's race was the longest rant in the section, mainly because I felt that she would be ranting about something like that.

Next was Beast Boy, Robin, and Cyborg. I did my best, even though Robin and Cyborg are my weak points. Still reviewed good reviews...

Next was the whole group together, then Raven ranting again, then Starfire thanking reviewers. I have to say, right away... if you can write Starfire's happy-go-luckiness really well... use it to enlighten/cheer up the reviewers. I had countless reviews come my way about how I captured Starfire's "out-of-this-world" happiness, and readers began getting interactive, actually addressing the character herself rather than me. The second Raven rant was met with the same kind of positive reviews, and a little surprise... I was writing Raven in her usual sarcastic-serious tone, but reviewers were commenting on how hilarious her rants were. I guess that meant I was getting her in-character again, considering Raven's sarcastic-seriousness was what caused me to laugh out loud in most of the episodes.

The second half? The cheesy smelly horribly cliche second half of the story? Well, let's say supporters of the first half stuck with me, loyally... but everyone knew the fic had jumped the shark. I drug in Control Freak, blatant Rob/Star and BB/Rae bias, and even all those cheesy SENLF-DESTRUCT BUTTO cliches. Reviewers dwindled... I think most of the last half of the story didn't even get any reviews. That's how different it was. That's where my test proved to me what I was already thinking.

... Going for cheese, character-biased writing, and cliches doesn't compare to when you go for depth. Sure, fluff is good in a story, but I've been able to throw fluff in without sacrificing the novelty value of what I'm writing. Plus, you don't need to stretch something out into a 100-chapter story if you can get a really awesome fanfiction with drama and depth in with 8 chapters or less.

E-Drama Alert:

Just so you guys know, I've been tipped off about a Rob/Rae shipper by the pen-name of 'Slade's Icy Apprentice' calling me a hobo (Haha, seriously? A hobo?) for not putting up with his flaming on my stories. I write stories for entertainment. And I'll admit, your fanfictions are better written than mine. There, I said it. (Especially "Beast Boy doesn't know", to be honest, was one of my favorite stories on FF, despite being Rob/Rae). I never said yours was worse. I just said the fact that you took my favorite pairing's official kiss in the Trouble in Tokyo movie and turned it into a Rob/Rae kiss put a bad taste in my mouth. It's called an opinion, and there's a better way to deal with it than devoting 2 full paragraphs on your bio to how much you apparently hate me. And by the way, I only had one fanfiction and one paragraph of one chapter narrated by the character Starfire, where she said she dislikes the 'photo manipulations' of the Rob/Star kiss. Listen... if Starfire from the series was in that position, she would PROBABLY SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT. Don't a lot of those Rob/Rae fics and stories out there have Starfire reacting badly to the Rob/Rae pairing in the story? And plus, for example, there's a girl and a guy that are boyfriend/girlfriend, and someone makes a video of the girl's boyfriend kissing some other girl. How the @# do you think she would react in that situation? So basically, you made the photo manipulation video I referenced in that fic. Okay, I didn't know that. Now how about you just get over it instead of making us both waste out time on each other? You obviously have a lot of pro writing to do, and I have a lot of random ideas to put to paper waiting for the one that sounds like a decent fanfic, so let's just call it a truce.

Though if you feel like you have to go all-out with random name-calling, go ahead. Because, In all honesty, I respect your work, but I don't like your hot-headed renegade OMG-WORD-ASSAULT behaviour, and because of that, I don't really like you either. But on another note... seriously, who ends a sentence with this?

"Suck on these crackers"

OH WAIT, DUDE, CAN THIS BIO GET ANY LONGER?

YES, IT CAN!
