In the Real World, I'm a crazy semi bi-polar nerd (some say). I have very high maternal instincts, sometimes to the point people actually think I'm a mother. When I'm not obsessing over Twilight, school and music become my life. I live in Florida, where Edward and I can stay inside all day...I'm old enough to be your mother...just kidding...or am I?

--I sat, locked in a trance, as the last words soaked into my already melting
body. A blazing heat had risen on my cheeks, threatening to undo the last
ounce of solidity left in my coherence. I lifted my hand to my chest. The
beating of my heart pounded beneath my palm.--

--A knock sounded at the door, making me jump in embarrassment. "Just a
second!!"--

--I rose with shaking legs to answer the door. Suddenly, a splinter of wood
flew past me with a loud crack. I spied a silver blade poking through the
grain of my door.--

--"What the hell?"--

--The door continued to splinter and crack as, piece by piece, the woodwork
was hacked away. A dark hand, russet tanned and stained in soot, made its way
inside, grabbing for the handle. The door was flung open and there he stood.
Clad only in red suspenders that supported the weight of his mustard yellow
fireman's pants. They hung stacked above his boots.--

--Air left my lungs in a woosh, and I lost balance. I went toppling to my
knees, and the fireman struck out a thick muscle-bound arm to catch me. I
clung to him in breathlessness.--

--"Ma'am, are you alright?" he asked. His voice was heavy and deep.--

--I nodded and looked up into his licorice eyes, where black hair fell into
them, touching the tops of his cheekbones, which held the same bronze and soot
pallette.--

--"I'm here for the fire," he said.--

--"What fire?"--

--"The fire...in your pants."-

Just because you were born in '97 doesn't mean you're a 90's kid. It's not like you could remember the original Simpsons. I am sorry but three conscious years of the 90's just wont cut it. You're a 90's kid if You remember watching -Doug -Ren & Stimpy -Pinky and the Brain -AAAAAAAH Real Monsters! -Rockos modern Life. -Animaniacs -Gargoyles You've ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!" You just cant resist finishing this . . . "in west Philadelphia born and raised . . ." You remember -Step by Step -Family Matters -Dinosaurs -Boy Meets World You remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons. You remember reading "Goosebumps" You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence . . . not When everything was settled by -rock paper scissors or -bubble gum bubble gum in a dish or -ms. mary mack When kick ball was a daily activity. Before the Internet & text messaging . . . Before Sidekicks & iPods . . . Before PlayStation3 or X-BOX 360 . . . Before Spongebob . . . Before Tupac was shot. When light up sneakers were cool. When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs. When gas was 0.95 a gallon. When we recorded stuff on VCRs. You had slap bracelets! You Actually played outside until it was dark! Way back.
