Author has written 20 stories for Digimon, X-overs, Mummies Alive!, Harry Potter, Yu-Gi-Oh, Holes, Peter Pan, Orson Scott Card, Lord of the Rings, Greek Mythology, and How to Train Your Dragon. Gosh, I can't believe I've been on this site for over 10 years o.0 Anyhoo, I'm Celestra or Elanna, and I'm 22 years old. I hail from Canada, and that's about as specific as I'll get for now since I'm not a fan of stalkers (though they seem to like me... I seem to attract a lot of older Turkish men on Facebook who try to be befriend me, but let's not discuss). I'm also a cliché because I'm an art kid who works in a coffee shop. A lot of the stuff here is really old. Like, cringingly old as some of it was written when I was 10. I probably should take that stuff down because it's embarrassing, but I keep it up to remind me of how much I've improved since then. You're welcome to read them still I suppose, but realize that reviews for constructive criticism on them are kind of moot, and honestly, some of them are pretty bad. Like Mary-Sues and straight-up plagiarism because my 10 year-old self didn't know any better. Even some of my most recent uploads are a few years old, with the exception of my current pet project, To Be God Touched. What can I say, life has been busy, and fan-writing (though not writing in itself) got shoved on the back-burner. So be nice and don't hold my old (and in some cases, bad) writing against me since I DO write better now. Clearly I like writing, otherwise I wouldn't be here. You might notice that there is a disproportionately small amount of stories on here considering the amount of time I've been here, but frankly, aside from life being the crazy mofo that it is, while I used to write and do art equally, in the recent past when I do have free time, I've been focusing on art (since to be fair, I'm majoring in it at university). This doesn't mean I've given up on writing, only that I focus on it less at least when it comes to fanfiction. There's a fair number of un-updated chapter stories here. Eventually I would like to finish (and in many cases revise) them, but they're pretty much still on hold. I mentioned in my last ancient bio how I had had a computer virus that wiped out my hard drive and everything on it. I hate doing things twice and haven't really felt the inspiration to re-do anything, let alone develop further. But yeah. They'll be finished. Just not in the foreseeable future. I tend to gravitate towards particular fandoms, though I also tend to go in cycles. Stuff I dabble in are Digimon, Mummies Alive, Yu-Gi-Oh, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Peter Pan (novel, live action movie, and Fox's Peter Pan and the Pirates cartoon), The Outsiders, Holes, Inuyasha, How To Train Your Dragon, Sherlock and probably others that I can't recall because like I said, I go in cycles. Not to say that I don't like other things, but these are the sections I'm most likely to read and/or write in. I'm afraid to even go into the Twilight section on this site for multiple, multiple reasons. I'm big into music though I don't play any. Especially anything rock. I love going on PureVolume and finding new stuff besides the radio, though I'm a fan of quite a number of other bands. Some longtime favourites include Goo Goo Dolls, Trapt, Florence and the Machine, Linkin Park, Funeral For A Friend, My Chemical Romance, Jeremiah Freed, Story of the Year, AFI, Alexisonfire, Creed, Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, OneRepublic, and oh crap, I really should just stop naming them now because I could keep going. I'm also big into visual art. Enough that majoring in it and hoping to make a career from it, though I'm still debating between animation, illustration, and graphic design. My other passions include reading/literature/English and history, especially ancient history (Ancient Egypt = BOMB). I minor in it at school. And yeah. I'm a normal chick and I do normal things like hang out with my friends, watch TV, go swimming, etc. I alternate between being introspective and being social. I am occasionally awkward but I maintain that it makes me charming since at least I acknowledge it, laugh, and move on. I'm inescapably nerdy at times, I have a crippling but misplaced phobia of velociraptors, I think puppies are cuter than babies, I consistently crave assorted types of Asian food. I am also a frank, up-front person. I will tell you the truth. You might not always like it. But at least I'm not a bitch about it. Between my close friends and I, I'm considered the nice one (which honestly saddens me. we are not nice people sometimes, but sometimes people are stupid and you need to use material like that XD). I'm also finding it awkward to write about myself. Don't give me that look. It's hard. I'm trying to sum up all the complexities and intricacies of my existence within a couple of paragraphs and still seem somewhat likeable to total strangers. Try it yourself, I dare you. | |||||||
