Across the Universe is complete. It had always been intended as a one shot, insofar as I intended to write it at all, and no continuation or sequel will be happening.

On the Way to Greatness is on-going. Harry lives his life as a Slytherin, while the author struggles to confine each school year to a set number of chapters: one chapter for first year, two for second, three for third, etc. This story is a challenge I've set for myself: writing a (hopefully) realistic Slytherin!Harry story, covering all seven years, and abiding by the limiting structure I've chosen. Watching the word count is a pain and I'm aware that the story might have been better as seven proper novels - but I think there are enough of such attempts at seven year redos floating around this site. Slytherin!Harry rewrites - and, in fact, all rewrites starting with Harry's childhood - generally have a pretty bad track record as far as getting completed goes. The number of comments I've got a) urging me not to abandon the story; b) expressing the sentiment that I will abandon it; c) wondering whether I've abandoned it already are a testament to that. Indeed, had I decided to write it as seven long novels, I would probably not have been as far into the story as I am now; however, the way I've chosen to do it is keeping me, as a writer, on my toes.

Bottomline: On the Way to Greatness is on-going and I sincerely hope to see it through till the end. And I'd like to thank all those who have read it and left reviews, because your comments help improve the story too, in subtle ways =)
