I am a long time reader and a first time author. Despite English not being my first language, I have tried my best! I hope that my story is enjoyable to you!

14th of June, 2012 -People have moved up to asking whether I have died or not. Well, almost. Work has been a real pain as I've received a promotion and a subsequent increase in workload, among various other distractions keeping me from making real progress on the story. On the bright side, however, I have received certain advice that I am keen on following: I will be cutting Chapter Four in sections and posting the parts as they're completed, a means to get my writing back into swing. So, the chapter will be shorter than the previous ones and focus almost entirely on Louise. Hopefully I'll be able to get things back on track by posting shorter updates. Fingers crossed.

24th of December, 2011 - No, the story isn't dead yet. It's just been advancing very slowly because of work. I got caught up in a rather time-consuming project when late July/early August rolled around. We were supposed to wrap up with a series of meetings towards the end of October, but it's been dragging out for the entire last quarter of the year. So my writing has slowed down to a crawl. The story hasn't been abandoned by any means but, as a testament to how trying and difficult work has been, I've only managed to break the 4k words mark rather recently.

Fingers crossed that the new year is a lot less stressful than this one has been.

19th of September, 2011 - A few months back, my workload was very light. I could write roughly one thousand words a day and thus pop out a chapter nearing 10k words in about a week or two, Now, however, my workload has increased to a point that I'm lucky if I manage to sneak in one hundred words while at the office. I am currently three thousand words into Alexandriad Four. The story is not dead by any means, but progress is extremely slow. Still, however, I am working on it. I have this story planned out to the end, mostly, and won't leave it hanging, even if it takes me a long, long time to finish.

9th of August, 2011 - Not dead yet, but work is trying very hard. Nearly two months later, I'm only up to two thousand words. I should have some spare time coming up soon so fingers crossed that I can use it for writing and I don't get distracted by other things.

27th of July, 2011 - Not dead yet. Have been busy with work and other IRL responsibilities. Writing is advancing, albeit very slowly. Also, new super-duper-secret-awesome project is in the works. So I might have been slightly distracted.

12th of July, 2011 - Outline for Chapter Four is done and the first one thousand words have been written. Slow going on this one and with a business trip looming in the near future, I'm not sure how long it's going to be this time. So much for aiming for two weeks per chapter, huh?

4th of July, 2011 - An unexpected update to "What if Louise summoned...?". I know it says "Complete", but the whole Chapter simply popped into my head and I just had to write it. The outline for Chapter Four of Song of Fire is done and writing will commence soonish.

28th of June, 2011 - Despite the best attempts of my office to kill me, Chapter Three is out! Now to start planning Chapter Four...

17th of June, 2011 - Past weeks have been horrible at work. I barely got any writing done last week so what should've been a quick chapter has ended up taking longer than anticipated. Chapter Three is currently at seven thousand two hundred words and approximately 80% done. I've sent it in to pre-readers so there's two possible outcomes: 1) I release this weekend or 2) massive re-writes and I release sometime next week. Fingers crossed!
