Author has written 4 stories for Nightwing, Robin, Lord of the Rings, and Batman Beyond. My name is Cam, I'm 18 years old, and I'm just your average Songwriter/Guitarist/teenage guy... I love to sit around all day, play guitar and write songs and all that, but, don't think I'm lazy; I also love to go to the gym, work out and hang out with my friends there. I'm also into comic books and animation (Both western and Japanese styles). Recently I've gotten into writing stories, mostly for myself, then I started thinking that maybe there's someone else out there who might want to hear some of the stories I've written, so here I am. I'm always willing to take constructive criticism (sticks and stones and all that) so feel free to leave opinions on my work... I do take awhile to write things since I'm so busy all the time, so it takes awhile for me to get the stories up and running. I'm also working on a big Justice League story that's been in my mind for quite some time, although, I don't expect to have it finished for about a year at least (Yea it's really that big). If you want to know anything else about me all you need to do is ask. God Bless (I have a good bit of work going up on DC2Universe.com so if you'd like to look into it, it's a pretty rad site! Each "issue" has its own cover and they're released in monthly installments. If anyone wants to pm me there, my screenname is Ammunition88. Starting this wednesday (DEC. 10th 2008) I'll be the ongoing writer for their Batman Beyond title. My Robin/Nightwing/Batman trilogy will be going up there as well, and quite possibly my Justice League story in the future, so come check out my stories as well as the stories written by all the other amazing writers on the site (I highly recommend New Outsiders, but only if you're 18 or older!). Look forward to seeing you there!) Here are some links to my DC2 work. Keep in mind that I didn't take over Batman Beyond until issue #2... Oh and if nothing else, at least check these links to see the covers for the issues! (Especially the Betrayal stuff... it's pretty rad!)... http://idlewilder.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=batmanbeyond http://idlewilder.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=robinbetrayal UPDATE!... I have recently decided to go through with yet another ongoing series with a sister-site to the DC2, Independent/Nova Comics! Independent, a fanfic site dedicated to indie comic book titles recently joined up with Nova, a site dedicated to bringing you original series in a monthly format, similar to comics. The site hasn't been doing too well so far, as not enough writers or readers have come on board to help out. I will be doing my best to support this site, as will my two co-writers on our upcoming title! Hope to see you there (as well as around DC2!) http://zirron1.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=novacomics Yes, another UPDATE!... Marvel2.0 has opened its doors to writers and artists and we're planning our grand-opening in July! Here are a just a few of the title that will be hitting Marvel 2.0 in its opening month! Amazing Spider-Man X-Men Wolverine Gambit (written by yours truly) Avengers Captain America Hulk So, yeah, there's a small taste of what we have coming up... Hope to see ya there! http://marvel2universe.proboards.com/ -Cam- HERE ARE SOME STORIES I'M EITHER WORKING ON OR PLAN TO START AND THEIR STATUS: (I'll post my progress on them as it happens) Nightwing:When Worlds Collide (4 chapters up and running! Note: As the series is released on DC2 the current chapters here will be updated! I will be doing a lot of rewriting on them, possibly taking some characters out, I'm not completely sure at this point. The point is, if you want to read "the original" I suggest you get your fill of it now while you can, because once it's gone, it's gone... and, God willing, the mistakes I made will have been forgotten.) Justice League:(haven't decided on a title yet) (4 chapters written. 2 of them typed. none of them uploaded. still a looong way to go before I'm done) Batman: (no title) (still in the plotting stage) Robin:Betrayal (COMPLETED! Yes, that's right. After all these months Betrayal is finally over. The finale won't be posted here on ff until the end of June, but I have finished writing it and it will be going up on DC2 at the end of this month (5/27/09)! However, part 5 will be here the day part 6 hits DC2, thanks to everyone who's supported the series so far, and I hope you'll enjoy the ending! Prologue and Chapters 1-4 up and running here. Chapters for this story will not be posted here until they've been on DC2 at least a month.) Batman:Insurgence (Nothing but a few ideas written down at this point) DEATHMATCH! (these will be stand-alone stories. basically just death-matches between two heroes or villains. everyone has their ideal dream-match and I plan to write a few of mine. I'll also be taking some suggestions for these stories if anyone cares to send me their ideal dream-match.) And now for a little info on each of the stories listed above... BATMAN:INSURGENCE: Is something my friend and I came up with one day while I was plotting another storyline(I wanted a story to kill off the fantastic four...hate them so much)Anyways, we came up with a good idea for a crossover between Batman, Captain America (Steve Rogers) and Iron Man... Technically, these characters don't even inhabit the same universe but for the sake of this story I'm pretending they do. Of course I can't give away too much of the story but I will say this: HEROES AREN'T ALWAYS WHAT THEY SEEM... JUSTICE LEAGUE: The idea for this story came to me a long time ago, I just didn't start plotting it out until about a year ago. I have to be honest though, this story started as nothing more than a means to kill a certain character, but as time went along and the characters-including the one I created for the story- began to flesh out, I saw a golden plot buried beneath. I've also recently decided to make this a loose tie-in to my Batman Beyond series which I'm currently writing for DC2. I'm hoping to start it up withing the next few months... I'll post the first chapter simultaneously on both sites, but, after that, the chapters will be posted here one month after they've appeared on DC2, just as my other mini's will be done. ROBIN:BETRAYAL: Is the prequel to Worlds Collide. WC was, originally, going to be a stand alone, but, things changed, and now, this story is one of my favorites. I look at this story as a great learning experience. I've learned so much from writing it and I've improved a lot just since the first chapter. This story turned out to be just the set of training wheels I needed to really get started, but that doesn't mean this story isn't important, at least to me. This is still an important chapter in the trilogy I'm planning, so, be nice to it. ;) NIGHTWING:WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE: Ah, here we are, the one that started it all. This was the story that, not only sparked a trilogy, but also pushed me to join DC2 and write steadily. For that reason, this is my favorite story. I was surprised at how much it grew just from conception to paper. Originally, it wasn't even going to be Nightwing-centered, but, you can see how much that changed. DEATHMATCH: A series of deathmatches between select heroes and villains. I've decided not to do anything with this until someone pm's me with ideas. My main focus is on all of my other projects at the moment so I'm not really concerned with it unless someone else actually shows an interest in it. Otherwise, there's no point in doing it. BATMAN (TITLE STILL UNCERTAIN):The final chapter in my trilogy. This will be the definitive end to "my" DC Universe. (At least until I decide to step back into it again). I thought it would be a cool idea to do a trilogy with each act focusing on a different character. We go From Robin to Nightwing to Batman as the trilogy progresses and I hope everyone likes what I do with each chapter. After coming up with this idea, I realized I was following the 3 act format unintentionally. Funny how that works, isn't it? | |||||||
