Author has written 6 stories for Redwall, Kingdom Hearts, and Final Fantasy VII. My username here, as you can see, is Oreramar. I wanted Eruravenne - having written under that name with storiewriter - but the system said that name had already been taken. Very unfortunate... Anyhow, about that story I co-wrote. It's called Surviving the Sues and is a Redwall fanfiction. It can be found on storiewriter's account. It is completed. About me I like: Good grammar, Redwall, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, lightsabers, Darth Revan, Gimli, Pippin (funny hobbit...), Realism, drawing, reading, writing, Elvish, One-Winged Angel, Lux Aeterna, Duel of the Fates, Battle of the Heroes, reciting the inscription on the One Ring in the Black Tongue, cloaks, swords, karate, sparring, roundhouse kicking guys a foot taller than me in the side of the head, causing my brother undue distress, scaring people, laughing at people being scared, laughing in general, sarcasm, biting humor, good fair competition... I dislike: Abuse of grammar, abuse of spelling, abuse of English language in general, abuse of any language, foul language, stories that go into Teen rating for stuff aside from violence, mushy junk (a la Barney...kill him dead), Global Warming Political Bandwagon (regardless whether I think it's a real problem or not, I simply dislike the way it's grown into a Politic Hydra that everybody - songwriter, politician, writer, artist, Joe Shmoe down the street - has gone and jumped on just to toot their horn), Unrealistic/Illogical storylines and plotholes, mispronunciation of words in any language I know (I don't care what the Encyclopedia says - 'Ukulele' is Hawaiian, and should be pronounced in a Hawaiian manner - 'oo-koo-lay-lay' - NOT 'yew-ka-lay-lee'...that pronunciation sounds like it came from a Texas/deep South trailer park, not the beautiful language of a tropical island)... Because my first ever story was a Redwall fiction, I'll probably stick around that category for a while before branching out. And because, according to my sources, every serious Redwall writer needs a Redwall alter-ego, here is mine: Name: Aelin Wordsmith Age: Several seasons. I cannot calculate the exact number, though...how many seasons to a year in animal growth? Would a ten-year-old human be a forty-season mouse, or a ten-season mouse? (No, I am not ten years old. That number was chosen for simplicity.) Gender: Female Species: Otter Appearance: Dark brown fur, black eyes, creamy white patches on cheeks and underbelly. Wears a long teal-color tunic and dark blue cloak, with two short swords crossed on her back. Seen in: (briefly in) Blue Moon by Kelaiah, Surviving the Sues by storiewriter/myself, STS Valentine's Day Special by storiewriter/myself, Everyone's Favorite Talk Show by warrior4, The Trouble with Self-Inserts by myself, A Shift in Sanity by myself/storiewriter, Mossflower Mary-Sue Showdown (as host) by myself, (briefly in) Redwall's Next Top Model by Kelaiah (as audience member) Picture: (Drawn by me, in Photoshop CS3) http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i85/Zhen_Ye/Ari-art/aelinotherpaths.jpg My stories: Footnotes I'm starting out slow. No really big projects on my own for now. In keeping with that, my first posting will be a collection of tiny stories and drabbles in Redwall, like footnotes in the records - not really part of the stories, perhaps not known, or perhaps things that never happened at all. There is no major plotline, main character, or even a running theme. Just something to be written when bored or in slow moments and updated whenever I have something new. The Trouble With Self-Inserts A slightly larger story, in keeping with the growing number of sue-fighting fics. I'm trying to make this one original in plot, though, so if you're after a sue-fighting story with some new and different twists, go ahead and try it out. It's not in the 'humor' category because I'm better at serious writing than funny, but I'll try to put a few laugh-lines in there. A Shift in Sanity Written by myself and storiewriter. This is our first real sue-slaying mission together. You may notice the 'fantasy' category...our Sue sort of has powers straight out of the broader world of fantasy than what is in Redwall alone. You'll see what I mean if you read it. The Mossflower Mary-Sue Showdown Not a talk-show, but similar. In this one, we explore the different sub-types of Sues by allowing reviewers to volunteer to fight them, one fight per episode. Keep your eyes open for the ending of this one - it leads up to a bigger story idea I have. Kindred Spirits First non-Redwall fic! A one-shot. Based off a plot bunny that wondered what it would be like if Yuffie and Peter Pan met, and then thought, "Poor Captain Hook..." Set in the Kingdom Hearts universe with plenty of Final Fantasy VII influences. Sadly did not seem to get much attention before vanishing into the sandpit of the KH archives. Against All Odds A serious Final Fantasy VII story based off an idea that doesn't seem capable of much seriousness. The idea is that Cloud Strife is destined to be the Planet's hero...Gaia herself, seeing possible futures in which she dies, creates him specially. However, something goes wrong before he can properly come to life in the world: Mrs. Strife, the woman who was to mother him, dies in an accident, and the little spark of life searches for a new way to be born. It finds one, too...in the body of a Chocobo. For those who have read warrior4's Everyone's Favorite Talk Show, I drew and colored in Photoshop a picture inspired by chapter three, in which we fight a nasty Troll army. It's really more a character tableux than an actual scene, but I'm fairly happy with the way it came out. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i85/Zhen_Ye/FightersofSuesandSpam.jpg Happy Reading, all! | |||||||||
