Author has written 115 stories for Harry Potter, Hunger Games, and Supernatural.

Hi, I'm Thanfiction, short for stranger-than-fiction, also known as Andrew, a 28-year-old guy who has found himself in up to his pointed hat in the most out-of-control one-shot in the history of the wizarding world. If you want to know more about me, you can just ask, really. I'm a pretty open kinda bloke. I'm brash, opinionated, and a bit sharp-tongued at times, so consider yourself warned. I'm also an artist, doing a great deal of work in the HP fandom in a wide variety of styles and media, including many illustrations for my own fic. You can find all of my artwork here, but please heed the tags when it comes to what is appropriate for what age of eyes. Ignore these, I'm not responsible for paying for your therapist.

If you're here, odds are it's about "Dumbledore's Army and the Year of Darkness," my version of Neville and the DA's 7th year at Hogwarts. Believe it or not, that was my first fanfic, starting out as a little 4,000 word one-shot called "Dumbledore's Army: Still Recruiting" back in April 08. It exploded, becoming a series over the next several weeks, and is now a novel. Well, actually, it's now two completed novels and one WIP that started posting on 10 March, '09 in what has become referred to by a shockingly high number of people as the DAYDverse. The stories in that universe are not only mine, but other authors' as well, and there is also a lot of meta surrounding it, such as art, videos, and music.

UPDATE NOVEMBER 16, 2011:

I'm uploading a lot of short little daydverse ficlets right now. UPDATE NOVEMBER 7, 2011:

You may have wondered where I went after that last, wonderfully optimistic update in February. I wish I could say that I just got swept up in the business of life, but that wouldn't be true.

On May 7, my dear, dear friend, roommate, and intended hike partner Brittany Quinn was brutally and suddenly murdered by her ex, Jason. He killed another man who was renting a room in the house that day, shot me in the ankle, and killed himself.

As part of the process of grieving my friend, I decided that the best thing to do would be to try and raise awareness of the issue which cost her life, while at the same time continuing what she had been planning to do when she died. Myself, Kate_lb, and Deadskyblacksun went on a 1000 mile hike this summer along the Trail of Tears to try and raise awareness of domestic violence, and by the time they finished the hike, kate_lb and Deadskyblacksun had fallen in love and got married, which I think Brittany would have thought hysterically funny and wonderful. I've since relocated to Denver, had two computers die on me, and am trying to rebuild my life. Yes, I have started writing again. Just uploaded my first new story in I don't even remember how long today. No, I still haven't abandoned AP or the Daydverse.

You just never know what life is going to throw at you, and I'm just trying to be grateful I still have one.
