I would like to start out by saying that I LOVE THE REVIEW REPLY FEATURE.
Seriously; I'm like stupid addicted, so be warned, if you give me a review, it's very likely you'll get a reply.
Secondly, I would like to make the motion for THREE CHEERS FOR FANFIC!
hip hip huzzah, hip hip huzzah, hip hip huzzah and all that jazz.
I'm going on four years writing and reading fanfic here, and still
going strong. This stuff started and perpetuates my writing addiction,
which is slowly evolving into an English minor (along side a hell of a
Biology major).
Thirdly,
I would like to mention that I like to give reviews, and I like to get
them. I am, in fact, a self diagnosed review whore. I don't mind
reading young stuff; so long as the person is willing to accept
criticism. If you get a nit-picky review from me, don't get up in arms
about it, because I'm that way with everyone (trust me, nit-picky
editors are best!)
I am: 20, a junior in college, the owner of
an ipod named Johnny, a member of Harry's WHR board, a very messy person,
slightly mad, fundamentally kind, (mostly) straight but not narrow, a singer,
someone who wishes they could make up their mind about their major, an
obsesive fan, an even more obsessive shipper, not to be underestimated,
a staunch ignorer of politics, a virgo/libra (what's you sign, baby?),
fan of the number 42, intelligent, very very sieve minded, quite
knowledgeble about wine-making, an idiot (no, seriously, I don't speak
latin except for 'Ave Maria'!), religious in my own odd way, a dancer,
occasionally the subordinate of a cat named KC, the occasional
companion of a dog named Sadie, the person who's music a trio of
parakeets occasionally enjoy singing too, a writer, someone with a mind
fairly balanced between emotion and logic, and a person often lacking
socks (it drives my roommate crazy.)
As for the fics: Good stuff is based on anime. Older/kept for nostalgia fics are book based. Be warned, when I say it's kept for nostalgia, I mean it - those're my first ventures into writing so put on your mary sue alerts and grammar wands.

My
favorites list is always out of date, so if you're on there, don't
worry. I don't even bother with smaller fandoms (GitS people - take
note) because I can see em all on the main page (and lets face it, it's
a slowish category.) It's mostly laze, and not a personal thing.
