Author has written 10 stories for StarTrek: Voyager.

1/02 - Avid Voyager fan, especially Tom Paris. Didn't like what the writers did to Janeway and Chakotay in "EndGame" - Seven is not the appropriate partner!!! Have met the "Fab 4" from Voyager at the Aug. 2001 convention in Va. Robbie McNeill is drop dead gorgeous!!! I have my first ever fan fiction story being published in the RanDom Flight Fanzine due out this May or June (2002). I also reworked my 4 chapters of "Three Minutes" into one story and will submit it to "Star Trek Strange New Worlds" for their contest for Volume VI. Thanks for all the positive reviews of my stories. I'm working on another story for Strange New Worlds but will be back to submitting another long story here. 1/03 Update - I sent in 5 stories to Strange New Worlds but they did not accept any of them. Well, their loss is your gain - I'm going to post them here. I already have Three Minutes up and I am going to re-work one of them and resubmit it this year. The other three I'll post here. "I Grieve", "A Guardian From the Past", and "The Color of Truth". Thanks for all the constructive critisms on my stories - they really help a writer to grow. 5/03 - Another update: I have been taking writing courses through Writer's Digest, online workshops. I sent one of my stories to Christie Golden (she's written several Voyager novels)to review and she recommended that I take some courses and then when I was ready to work on my own novel that she would work with me through Writer's Digest. I'll try to post more Voyager stories this summer. Thanks again for all the reviews. 11/03 - I now have a story published on an online magazine: http://www.apolloslyre.com/. The story is called "City Streets." It will run for the November 2003 issue and then be archived for 3 months. This is my first non fan story published by a real market. I will continue my Voyager stories - can't stop writing about Tom, and will post any more successes in the publishing world. 4/2/04 - Latest update. I've almost finished with "In A Single Heartbeat." I now have 5 non-trek short stories accepted for publication. Three are online: Apolloslyre.com (2nd story to be on 5/15/04), writershood.com - click on mystery. Two will be in actual magazines this fall: Futures Mysterious Anthology Magazine and Detective Mystery Stories. I will still keep up with Voyager though.

7/30/2011 - I can't believe I haven't updated my profile in 7 years. I no longer write fanfiction but do keep reading the stories here. I'm into NCIS now. I have written and have had published over 30 short stories in various online ezines, 4 real magazines and am part of 4 anthologies. I started writing children's stories several years ago and joined SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators). I now have a contract with Sylvan Dell Publishing (www.sylvandellpublishing.com) for a picture book that will be published in August 2012. You can find some links to my stories and information on my webpage: www.carolacole.com. I still enjoy getting email alerts to reviews of my stories. They helped spur me on to doing other writing. Thank you to everyone. I'm retiring from my job next July and may return to Voyager fanfiction and even try a little NCIS.
