ME

Hi. My name's Maddy, and I am a seventeen year old girl from Canada that pretty much just writes fanfiction for the attention at this point. I'm a first year university student taking general studies, but my true passion is writing despite the fact that I am in intense denial about it. Feel free to message me anytime and chat!

Things that get in the way of updating:

1) University, obviously. (aint nobody got time fo dat shiat..)

2) I have a very important/awesome best friend who I like to dedicate time to when I have it (plus family and a few other very special people). Also, don't forget about boys. Like I said, I'm a seventeen year old girl...

3) Interpersonal!Maddy complains when I'm at home too much, and so does the rest of my social life – it grew in grade 10 and now exists quite actively in my life.

4) If it's not one of those three things, it's something just as nagging - some kind of art show, mid-terms/finals, events around campus, Christmas, birthdays, any other all-encompassing holiday, or just me wanting to party on the weekends rather than sit at home on my laptop like I do day and night in the week.

However, after a heavy realization last January that I had virtually stopped writing - something that has helped shape me in my life and who I am since age 10 - I decided I needed to make time for writing as a priority again, too.

And for those who have been supporting me all along, thanks a ton! You guys are what made me remember my priorities, and reminded me I needed to stay true to myself and what I love. Without all the love and encouragement to put out new chapters and return to the site, I doubt I would have ever come back. I really appreciate it!

Oh, and if I'm taking too long to update, go ahead and shoot me an angry message - it gives me more motivation to reopen that word document and get writing.

If you'd like to know what I'm planning for the future story-wise, I am mostly just focusing on Life's a Beach and the Alex Rider fandom - I can't tell you if or when that might change. Although, now that I think about it, I believe most of my fans know me from my Alex Rider fics anyway, so that's probably good news for most people reading this.

STORIES

Piano (T) - Complete - Not only do I have lots of support on this story, but I also have nearly forty chapters in pre-writes so that I can still update even if I've lost my muse. Updates will still be slow for this one if I'm low on interest in it -- ugh, I hate the way Soul Eater chapters come out monthly. I wish it was weekly. But I have grown really attached to this one and even though I've had my doubts, I don't think I'll be dropping this story anytime soon. Reviews have been plentiful! T for dark themes.

Walk By (T) - Hiatus - Ah yes, the sequel to Piano. The muse is long gone and I'm running on pre-writes so if updates after I run out of those are very slow, apologies! This is more of a side project I'm keeping around simply because it was my first real series on here, and Piano left too many questions unanswered for me to make it a clean break. Don't hold your breath on me really finishing it, though. It's years old and most of its readers already mourned the story's death long time ago. Maka/Soul, Tsubaki/Black Star (subtle). T for dark themes.

Life's a Beach (T) - In Progress - Written purely to satisfy my own Alex Rider infatuation -- though the reviews have been great. This story is mostly just my retardness needing a medium. Concentrating on a teenage Alex, and exploring K-unit's more boyish side. Recent chapters have introduced the serious elements of violence and angst now, though... don't ask me where this stuff comes from! Yep, there will be MI6. There will be romance. There will be partying. And there will be a strange humor/angst dynamic that will probably confuse you. Big chapters on this one, since keeping it short on a story like this just doesn't work. AlexSabina (in the long run), FoxJack, and EagleOC. T for violence, themes, sexual references and language.

Between a Rock and a Hard Place (K) - Complete- Made this a two-shot after a bunch of requests... but I definitely won't be continuing it if you were wondering! I mean it was only supposed to be a one-shot anyway, I never meant for it to be a multi-chapter piece. But thanks for the reviews and all the people who pushed me to throw the second chapter up! I wouldn't have done it without the sweet talk c:
