Author has written 48 stories for Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, House, M.D., Jaws, Good Omens, Misc. Books, Tom Stoppard, and Metalocalypse.

Oh dang, maybe I should update this profile slightly now that I've picked up some new fandoms. Hmm.

(I've also picked up the habit of saying "dang" a lot. Not sure why.)

My first fling with fanfiction was House M.D., specifically House/Wilson. They are secretly in a relationship and just need to realize it already. (And/or House needs to stop merely making gay jokes and kiss Wilson for the camera already.)

My first serious relationship with fanfiction was The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, specifically Ford/Arthur. The Infinite Improbability Drive means that anything can happen and it will still be canon, which is just too priceless to let pass unexplored. And besides, Ford had to have a lot of (at least some sort of) investment in his relationship with Arthur to actually take the time to save someone other than himself, and cutting it so close too. For the record, I love Fenchurch to death and I want one for my very own -- but she is, unfortunately, not a permanent character because a perfectly content Arthur Dent just isn't as interesting.

Because I believe in free love (and, incidentally, Lord Byron/Percy Shelley), I then struck up another, on and off relationship with Jaws. Brody/Hooper, because they were just so dang happy to meet each other and you know there wasn't much room for personal space aboard the Orca, but I seem to find it easier to write gen for this one.

Next I struck up another serious relationship, with Good Omens -- mostly Crowley/Aziraphale, but I'm beginning to dabble in Famine/Pollution as well. There are many reasons for this. For the first reason, a tree full of monkeys on nitrous oxide comes to mind. For the second, I'm pretending to study early Christian art -- illuminated Gospel manuscripts, just the sort of thing Aziraphale would love -- even though I'm a terrible, terrible history student. For the third, they've both been on Earth for thousands of years, witnessing the change of centuries coming and going, and once you're around that long you learn to appreciate anything remotely permanent. For the fourth, do I really need to make the obvious "in the biblical sense" joke?

There are a few other flirtations in there as well, because apparently I am kind of a ho for new fandoms. Sherman Alexie's The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian is one, though I haven't, and most likely won't, do a whole lot with that.

And Metalocalypse. Words cannot adequately describe how much this entertains me. I can't quite settle on a favorite pairing. Toki/Skwisgaar is great, but so is Nathan/Toki. And Nathan/Charles. And Nathan/Pickles. And Pickles/Charles! And, oh god, when Murderface/Toki is written well that's amazing too, which I never thought I'd say without lying but ffffffff it can be so true sometimes. I have one chaptered (gen?!) story in progress, but... Mostly I've been drawing short (S/T or N/C) fancomics and posting them on my livejournal and dA. I love being motivated, I LOVE BEING MOTIVATED!

I am a twenty-one year old college student, studying (more or less) creative writing. But I'm not all that interesting. Occasionally I grab the opportunity to write fanfiction for writing class by the face and make out with it -- which is why Alexie fanfic happened, incidentally.

I also have an account on fictionpress. Thought I'd give it a mention since I've been asked on occasion if I write any original fic at all. I am murderofonerose there as well. And basically everywhere.

"I love deadlines. I love the whooshing sound they make as they go by." ~ Douglas Adams
(Does anyone else love the fact that this quote was in the movie Julie & Julia as much as I do?!)

"The impossible often has a kind of integrity which the merely improbable lacks." ~ Douglas Adams

"Nothing travels faster than the speed of light with the possible exception of bad news, which obeys its own special laws." ~ Douglas Adams

"Why does it all have to be so cut and dried? Black and white, straight or gay, boys or girls? Why aren't we just allowed to fall in love with whomever comes along that we happen to fall in love with and not care what gender they are?" ~Utter Rubbish

"I don't care if you can walk, see, wipe your own ass, it's always ugly, always. You can live with dignity... but you can't die with it." ~ House, pilot episode

"And maybe you're thinking, 'Well, you really shouldn't be talking about masturbation in public.'
Well, tough. I'm going to talk about it because EVERYBODY does it. And EVERYBODY likes it." ~ The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, Sherman Alexie

"My grandmother had no use for all the gay bashing and homophobia in the world, especially among other Indians. 'Jeez,' she said. 'Who cares if a man wants to marry another man? All I want to know is who's going to pick up all the dirty socks?'" ~ The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, Sherman Alexie

"... where there was nature and earth, life and water, I saw a desert landscape that was unending, resembling some sort of crater, so devoid of reason and light and spirit that the mind could not grasp it on any sort of conscious level; and if you came close the mind would reel backward, unable to take it in. It was a vision so clear and real and vital to me that in its purity it was almost abstract. This was what I could understand, this was how I lived my life, what I constructed my movement around, how I dealt with the intangible. This was the geography around which my reality revolved: it did not occur to me, ever, that people where good or that a man was capable of change or that the world could be a better place through one's taking pleasure in a feeling or a look or a gesture, of receiving another person's love or kindness. Nothing was affirmative, the term 'generosity of spirit' applied to nothing, was a cliche, was some kind of bad joke. Sex is mathematics. Individuality is no longer an issue. What does intelligence signify? Define reason. Desire -- meaningless. Intellect is not a cure. Justice is dead. Fear, recrimination, innocence, sympathy, guilt, waste, failure, grief, were things, emotions, that no one really felt anymore. Reflection is useless, the world is senseless. Evil is its only permanence. God is not alive. Love cannot be trusted. Surface, surface, surface was all that anyone found meaning in... this was civilization as I saw it, colossal and jagged..." ~ Patrick Bateman, American Pyscho (novel)
