(11/08/09) Finally started crossover pairings Hey everyone, if you are reading this, you probably have way too much time on your hands, or just spend it poorly. A little bit about me: I know nobody probably cares, but I'll give a little back story on how I came to FF.net. I originally found FF.net when I was searching for good sakura/hinata fics, and ended up falling into Kyouger(http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1210189/Kyouger) 's fic, "Like Mother, Like Daughter". Iwas instantly captivated and have become an avid reader and reveiwer, almost to the point of obsession. I finally joined FF.net, figuring I could offer to pre read and edit for my favorite authors. Little did I know that you have to have five stories before you can be a beta reader.I have dabbled into the wonderful world of fanfiction, but I seriously doubted I would ever actually post them, I was and am still much too attatched to them to withstand flames of any kind. Silly, me. Now here I am, a few stories under my belt, wondering why I avoided making an account for so long. More about me: I tend to go off into rants every once in a while, so just stick with it, I'll eventually run outa steam. Who knows , you might find some food for thought or even something funny in there. Sometimes I look back at my rants and find them hillarious. I'm also ADHD, so if there is something I really don't wanna do, I will probably space out if I try to tackle it head on. I find writing to be a never ending process of trudging uphill through mud, plateauing at the end of the chapter, only to find myself at the bottom of another slope next chapter. I hate to use someone elses phrase, but it just fits it so perfectly. I think of writing as "my masochistic pleasure" in the sense that I hate it while I'm doing it, and then it gets over with and I sit back and admire my work, and I get a warm fuzzy feeling. Flames hurt. Plain and simple. Imagine diligently working on a piece of art, whether it be painting or story, putting a little bit of your soul into each word or brush stroke. Now you tentatively pull away the tarp covering it, revealing it to the world. In essence, it becomes a child of sorts, in the sense that you dedicate time, money, and caring towards it in order to watch it grow and succeed. Thus, each slight towards it is like a slight towards you. As much as we all may deny it, any artist (for that is what authors are) will tell you that even light criticism is like a knife to the back. So please, the next time you start to type a review, think about the impact your words will have on the author. Advice for newbies : I'll tell you something that a wise author once told me. Write from your heart, and it will always come out ok. Now I'm not saying this is easy, far from it, but if you manage to do it, you will always have good material. Congratulations on picking to be a fanfiction author. You just joined one of the hardest possible hobbies out there, good for you! Seriously, you need to know a lot to be a successful writer. Not only do you need to know all the minute details of any and all anime that you are writing/crossover-ing, you must also have a good understanding of... damn near everything. As a minimum you need at least some high school education. It would look pretty bad if you said that your character combined uranium and windex and got liquid gold right? In the same sense, all the things that you write must have a firm grounding in fact in order to be believable. Another example is a character that is suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder not showing any signs of it. Your characters need to be believeable in order for the reader to become attached to them. So buckle down and prepare to use your favorite search engine a lot. Oh, and welcome to the community. I just love Spirited Away to death, so if I could, I would pick Together Forever. But I guess you want someone elses fic don't you? I would say... hm... it's kinda hard, there are so many good ones! I'd have to say it's a three way tie between: "Tears of a Dragon" by LSMcGill- Absolutely the best series I have ever read. I've cried less chopping onions than I did reading this series. "One Half a Wing and a Prayer Clean version" by Istoria- What can I say? Credit given where credit is due. This guy managed to take a story from ST fans Lemon Archive, which is comprised almost solely of lemon, and turned it into a respectable story, safe for the kiddies eyes, while still keeping that adult element for the rest of us. "Diablo : Lord of Confusion, RanmaDiablo2 XOver" by Istoria- I care not what you say about this, it is, and always will be, one of my favorites. The transition between universes was flawless, character classes picked perfectly, romance level is above nominal, what the hell is not to love? Shirt: It has an old NES cartridge on it and underneath it says "Blow me, it's the only way I'll work." TCG(Trading Card Game): Magic the Gathering Color(in MTG): Blue is my first, then Red, then Black. Favorite Movies: Before going into this, let me just say one thing, any movie based off of a book, A) I'm going to be suspicious of and biased against, and B) I will most likely put them here if they stick close to the story line. OK, now that that is out of the way, let us continue. Harry Potter, for reason B. I want to put the twighlight movie here, so hopefully they will do a good job. The Lord of the Rings Trillogy, do I even need to go into the reason. I Robot was pretty good. A.I. was also good. Anything by Hayao Miyazaki bows down. Catwoman was ok. The Tomb Raider Series. THe Chronicles of Riddick, all three of them. The Star Wars series. Fics In Progress: The Three Weapon Masters- Basically, the master of three different types of weapons come to Nerima to challenge Ranma The Pursuit- Jeff, an OC I pretty much injected with the majority of my features, stumbles upon the world of vampires and gets in over his head. While the Cullen family has no problem with Jeff becoming their newest member, there is a vile plot to get rid of the Cullen family once and for all.(Post Breaking Dawn) Permanently on hold till I get a couple of reviews and some motivation. Transcendent Love- (my best story yet) Akari Tendo is sent back in time to before the first wedding by the Kami of Chaos to stop her father, Akane-Otoku, from dieing, and consequentially sending her mother, Ona-Ranma and the Kami of Chaos's avatar, from trying(and eventually suceeding) to kill herself. There's only one problem, she can't tell anyone. How can she do to stop a god from killing her father, and how will she keep her parentage secret from the Ranma and Akane when they invite her to stay at the Tendo Dojo. New fighting style and original moves. R+R. A Well Spent Investment- Hayate no Gotoku(Hayate the Combat Butler) X Ranma1/2- Instead of Nagi shouldering Hayate's debt, it's Nabiki he finds on that snowy night. What will this new developement do to the Tendo family, and does the Tendo family even need a butler?(still in the design phase but the pairing is the best) Nabiki/Hayate Concepts: Ranma: Senshi of Entropy- Ranma X Sailor Moon- Everyone knows the four dimensions. Length, Width, Depth, and Time. Now, meet the fifth dimension, the dimension of Entropy. Why would the Silver Millenium create a soldier capable of making all forms of energy inaccessible, and why would they send her through to the future? Undetermined pairings A Shoulder to Cry On- Ranma X Sailor Moon- Ranma, driven away by Akane, finds himself in the Juuban prefect, when he gets blasted from behind by a stray youma blast. Ranma wakes up in the Outers' appartment, and quickly becomes embroiled in the lives of the Senshi, particularly one Setsuna Meioh. While looking into Ranma's past, what Setsuna sees at the gate appalls her. A girl whose eyes show she is more than she seems, and a boy whose eyes have seen too much. A girl with more past than she can remember, and a boy with a past that he doesn't want to, and continues to haunt him. Can this unlikely couple help each other in ways no-one else could. Ranma/Setsuna, not a fuku-fic. Can't Get That Here- Ranma X AMG!- While Ranma lays on the roof one night, wondering what happiness is, he is not as alone with his thought as he thought. When Skuld appears and whisks him away to a meeting with Kami-sama, all hell breaks loose...figuratively, of course. Ranma/ Skuld (he just can't get away from them tomboys). A True Master- Ranma X History's Mightiest Desciple Kenichi- Ranma, via Mallet Airlines, goes on a one way trip to the front gate of a very familiar dojo. Keichi's torture...erhm "training" comes to a screeching halt when a strange pigtailed boy wanders through the gate, and why do all the masters seem to know him? Wild Horse Effect- Ranma X AMG! - Everyone's heard of the Butterfly Effect right? If a butterfly can cause a hurricane in China, what could a wild horse do? When Ranma decides to go all out in a fight, the very foundations of the earth shake. Oh god, Ranma's broken Yggdrasil, and now he needs power limiter. Undecided pairings (though wouldn't it be interesting to pair him with a demon?) Friends...or More?- Ranma X Naruto - From the twisted mind of YuriFan5 comes the newest in a long line of monstrosities. All Gaara ever wanted was a friend. What if he got one? Ranma, on his ten year training trip with his father around the five great shinobi nations, stops at Sunagakure for a week. There he sees Gaara grab a ball for a group of kids off a roof. Frankly, it's the coolest thing he's ever see, and he wants to learn how to do it. "Hi, I'm Ranma, wanna be friends?" And just like that, all the Kamis' plans went down the drain. (Note, all Ranma cast have been born in the Naruto verse for this fic) Ranma-chan X Gaara A Fatefull Meeting - Ranma X Vampire Knight - (I know, I'm crazy right?) I'd like to believe that everyone has someone who was made for them. Why should Kiryu Zero get the short end of the stick ne? Ranma, ambushed and turned while in his... now her, cursed form, is permanently locked. Ranma's father sends him away to Cross Academy, to attempt to keep him away from his mother. While there, a still developing shift of mentality and gender identity already added to her emotional baggage, she meets the two strange prefects. Why does she have this strange attraction to this Zero person. Furthermore, why does he feel likewise to her? She's a vampire, after all, the eternal enemy of the slayers, isn't she? Yuuki/Kaname, Ranma-chan/ Zero (No solid plot thought up as of yet, just an idea and a vision) A Dangerous Book - Ranma 1/2 - After purchasing a rather strange book from a passing traveling antiques salesman, titled The Complete Book of Anime Laws, Ranma sees the world in a new light, not to mention breaking the fourth wall about once every two minutes. God help us all. Ideas I won't write but others can: Noble Status - Ranma x Sailor Moon - Ranma gets knocked on the head one too many times by Akane, and this time it jogs his...erhm her memory. Ranma remembers her life during the Silver Millenium. Now that Ranma remembers everything about her past, the only thing keeping her with her male form (her memory lock) is gone, and she can't shift back. Does Ranma really love Akane, and more importantly, can Akane's love for Ranma surpass her homophobia. Perm. Ranma-chan/Akane. Yes, probably a fukufic. Special Items: Her hair tie has a magical amulet which can boost her natural magical powers. Quote: “I waited fifteen years to be with you Haku, isn’t that enough?” Name: Chihiro Kaola Age: Physically at the age of 25, but technically she had only been "alive" for a few months Gender: Female Preference: Straight Normally Seen Wearing: Depends on her state. As Neko-Chihiro, she will tend to wear fewer layers of cloths, prefering breathable cloths to her traditional kimono (all that fur gets really hot), and nothing when a lioness. Other Half: Kohaku Special Power: Can transform from a cat-woman into a lioness, giving her enhanced senses and reactions. Her magic is not as powerfull as it once was. Other Half: Mikotah Special Powers: Despite her harmless appearance, she is apparently a very powerful guardian of the Temple of the Cat God. Special Items: Her golden staff, which, despite appearances, is extremely heavy, yet she moves it around as if it weighed nothing. A: (Note, I haven't seen any of shippuden)I would make hinata fall in love with Shino(seeing chakra points and draining them, hello?!Why has no-one thought of this?) I'd kill off Sasuke in some rediculous bid for power. I'd have Naruto comfort Sakura, and Sakura would realize what a douche she has been to Naruto. I would make Akatsuki realize Orochimaru is no longer useful, and kill him (hopefully he takes a few down with him). I'd make Gaara fall in love with his student. Temari and Shikamaru are already an item. I'd put Kankuro with an OC, most likely a secratary (I see him with a skirt fetish). Neji can fall off a cliff for all I care, but I guess Neji/Ten is ok >_>. I really can't see any way around the Clan Restoration Act, and preferably, I would put Tenten as one of his wives. Ino would go into the same category. I would honestly consider putting Chouji with Ayame if the age difference wasn't so great( before all you Aya/Kak fans flame me, hear me out). Ayame is the embodiment of the two things chouji loves most, she is beautiful and she makes great food (who says she only knows how to make ramen, ne?) In reality, I would probably put him with an OC girl, possibly "the never before mentioned" daughter of the owner of his favorite restaurant or something. I honestly adore the Anko/Kurenai pairing, but I don't think Kisimoto could get away with it, since they tend to discourage(to a rediculous point) airing any gay pairings, with a few notable exceptions(Strawberry Panic ftw). If I really had complete control of the story, with no worries of repercussions, I would go and make Kyuubi female, and make her Naruto's main woman (Fanfics galore alredy have it, with varying ranges of success).
