Author has written 2 stories for Lord of the Rings, and Troy. ...:Grey Pigeon:... If you find something you have in common with me, send me an e-mail, let's talk. I would like to improve my English and meet some fine people from Big World. Real name: Ivonne (Iwona, but it's weird to say), I also like be called Yvette. Age: 18 Appearance: Looking at me you can easily say I'm abnormal... I'm tall, I have green eyes hided by glasses, and brown hair which reach to my bottom (literally 89 cm long, which is 35 inches), I'm wearing skirts long to the ground and mostly black tops. And I can't part with small satin collar with silver cross on it. To add, I'm walking with a book in right hand. If you see somebody like that in Poland, hide - it can be me. Country: Poland, I live in quite small city called in our local dialect "Dziura zabijana dechami" (A hole in the ground plugged with boards, it can't be translated better) Favorite books: Lord of the Rings, Silmarillion, The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski, Harry Potter is quite good; I have beautiful memories after Frances Hodgson Burnett books; I like Shakespeare. Really I like him. Then... Anne Rice books, especially "Vampire Lestat", maybe The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo. Memoirs of a Geisha. And so, so many others I can't even write them down. Books are my life. Favorite films: Oh, great number too. First of all I like trilogies The Lord of The Rings trilogy, Indiana Jones trilogy, STAR WARS, Pirates of the Caribbean as well! I just adore and love all Disney films. They are letting me remember the most beautiful moments of my life, what means childhood. Only Snow White I avoid, because of the Evil Queen, which was so scary for me when I was small that now I can't look at her... then, I must confess when I have a bad mood I always watch Jean Claude van Damme films like Kickboxer. They are cheering me up. Or Mel Brooks films - my fav - Robin Hood: Men in tights. I like the Troy, Cutthroat Island with Geena Davies, National Treasure, Blues Brothers and BB2000, Chicago, Shrek, Harry Potter films; I simply love The Last Samurai with Tom Cruise and Interview with the vampire too, two Zorro films, Dirty Dancing 1&2, What women want and Bruce almighty are two romantic comedies I can tolerate. Hmmm... Shall we dance and Pretty woman with Richard Gere I like, same as Bootmen. All in all, musicals are great. And Beverly Hills Cop! I know and like many films, all because of that I'm helping my mum with work and doing it we're always watching a film... so you can imagine, every evening one film since I was ten... enormous number... Favorite music: I'm a classical girl. I like Frank Sinatra, STING! Blues Brothers, Michael Buble, Celine Dion, Chris Rea, Bryan Adams, little Bon Jovi. Mostly jazz and blues. Not always I have mood for that, then I listen to The Offspring. And yes, Michael Jackson had some fine songs. I may not approve him as a person, but music I may like. But my greatest fascination are soundtracks from films. And recently I fell in love with Irish Folk. Manga&Anime: I used to be otaku once, now I abandoned that topic, but maybe I'll return in that wonderful state some day. I hope so. I grown up with anime called Fushigi Yuugi by Yuu Watase. I like Fullmetal Alchemist, and I love Kenshin - manga, not anime - and my greatest worry is that in Poland Egmont was wiling to print only eight volumes. Great, just great... then maybe Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, maybe Great Teacher Onizuka, maybe Ouran High School Host Club thanks to my friend who borrowed it. Well, it's one story in progress and one poem as far. I hope there will be more. 1) TRYING TO PUSH THE PAST AWAY - Legolas knows nothing about his real family and is raised up by his friends, slaves, in Mirkwood as one of them. King Lathronios, Thrandruils brother, claimed power here and considers slavery totally normal. When Mirkwood receives help from Imlardis, as a repay and in order to get rid of Thrandruil son, Legolas is given to Elrond from Rivendell. How will he find in new world, while he can't believe he is not a slave any more? He will have to heal his wounds, not only on his body. And if you add to this some questions: What happened to Legolas parents? What secret Elrond is keeping? Who exactly is Elronds niece? (For slash-funs: will Elrond or Glorfindel fall in love with Legolas?... For those who prefer violence: in which chapter Legolas is imprisoned?) they will make a little mess, I suppose. 2) GOOD NIGHT, MY PARIS - Just a little poem I wrote. The story of this was interesting. My English teacher was a poet himself and once he gave us a task to write a poem. He said that a story is many words with small amount of content, and a poem is a few words and huge amount of content. He said also that everything we write is poetry. Even if our poem contains: "I don't know what to write". He was amazing teacher and he was also a man who could not be not loved. I dedicate this to him. If you would like to, send me an e-mail, as I said: let's talk. I will answer every one, so go ahead. Love and best wishes to you all. He deals the cards as a meditation I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier He may play the jack of diamonds I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier And if I told you that I loved you I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier | |||||||||
