Author has written 18 stories for Artemis Fowl, Underland Chronicles, and Hunger Games. About me? I think I can safely say that I've moved past the dork stage. I'm just eclectic now, and that's alright with me. I've learned much about myself, and so I can say I have a better idea of who I am. I'm an almost-18-year-old girl who lives in the good ol' USA, in Minnesota(which contains the northernmost point of the USA, excluding Alaska), my home state, which I love dearly, despite the sometimes insane weather fluctuations. I've got nearly two years of college under my belt, thanks to the wonderful PSEO program, and am still working out what I want to do. After I finish the spring semester of school, I'll be 8 credits away from my Associate in Arts degree, and from there, I'm considering English or English Literature, with a possible double major in Music. NoLikes: Spiders, centipedes, and other crawly things Not having books to read School No internet access Not having a click pencil and paper to write my ideas on Bad grammar Making mistakes Shopping and trying numerous clothes on Book Likes: The Artemis Fowl series, the Bartimaeus Trilogy, the Maximum Ride series, Guardians of Ga'Hoole, the Underland Chronicles, the Ingo series(I'm not sure if they're called that, but whatever; that's the name of the first book; Ingo), Hush, Hush(and the other two...just recently fell in love), Keys to the Kingdom(Garth Nix), H.I.V.E., Redwall series, Peter and the Starcatchers, Percy Jackson, A Wrinkle in Time(and the other four, though I don't like An Acceptable Time all that much), Dealing With Dragons(and all ensuing books), the Animorph series, anything by Tamora Pierce, Dark Lord of Derkholm, Year of the Griffin, The Ogre Downstairs, Ella Enchanted, the Once Upon a Time series(especially those by Cameron Dokey), Howl's Moving Castle...many, many books. =D Music Likes: Maaya Sakamoto, Relient K, Coldplay, Brandon Heath, Newsboys, Vertical Horizon, some songs by Nickelback, Nickle Creek, Vocaloid(all of them, not just Miku), classical(just about anything, only I don't like Bach that much. He's too mathematical for me), Imogen Heap, Goo Goo Dolls, 3 Doors Down, The Fray, Plain White T's, Lady Antebellum, Kurt Schneider, Sam Tsui, Parachute, Owl City, John Mayer, Evanescence, Linkin Park, Lifehouse, Regina Spektor, Switchfoot, Daft Punk, Eiffel 65...the list is pretty darn long. I love lots of music. ^^ Inspiration I get a lot of inspiration from everyday things - that's part of being a writer. To see the abnormal in the normal - to see the amazing in the ordinary. I enjoy that part a lot - because simple things are beautiful. I'm also inspired by other writers, whether published ones or fanfiction ones - both impact me. I do enjoy poetry, and pictures and drawing can also inspire me. I like writing off of quotes, and have dozens of quotes lined up for whenever I get inspired by them. Music is a big factor, too. There are a lot of songs I absolutely love, and my tastes are pretty varied, so I can get a lot of different things from music. I play as well, and inspiration comes from what I play, as well as the lyrics I hear. Yep, music is pretty awesome. I'm inspired a lot, too, by the people I'm around, and the things that happen to us, whether good or bad - inspiration can come from great family or friend times or times of great conflict. I'm learning to use what I understand to write with, and hopefully it doesn't always come across as cliche. But yeah...I just love to write, and do a lot of it for myself. I've got a lot of one to two page pieces that will never see the light of day...well, maybe someday, but anyhow...writing is amazing - I've found out so much about myself, and it causes me to think a lot about things that I'm going through.
