Yeesh. The very thought of writing a profile makes me cringe . . . but I've put it off for more than a year now, so I figured it was time to just friggin do it.

To start with, I guess I should tell you that I'm 26, married to my high school sweetheart (trust me, we wasted no time) and am Mommy to two gorgeous little ones. (See? Told ya.) I have adored Twilight since the second I laid eyes on one of the books (which turned out to be New Moon) and have been absolutely smitten ever since. I never imagined that I would have a fictional boyfriend, but Edward definitely fills that role. (Lucky for my husband, he can be just as charming as Mr. Dazzle-Yer-Panties-Off Cullen - otherwise, he'd be pretty cold and lonely at night.) Needless to say, I am absolutely, undoubtedly, and obsessively Team Edward. Everything that I write is ExB - because really, there is no other way. I also curse like a sailor, giggle a lot, read TwiFic in unhealthy amounts, and enjoy writing wordporn way, way too much.

I recently caved and joined Twitter. (Damnit, I'm such a pushover.) I have no clue how to do that awesome "Follow Me" linky thing, but my handle is Katie_Belle with two underscores. So, go head, follow me. It'll give me something to do. (That's what she said.)

I am sorry to say that Place Your Bets has been put on extended hiatus. Life, for both vanillabeans and I, has grown vastly different than when we started this fic, and is, at this time, no longer conducive to writing it. I apologize from the bottom of my heart to those who have followed this story - your interest and reviews were amazing and very much appreciated. That being said, I want you all to know that this is incredibly hard for me. Like everything I write, this fic was a product of time, effort and soul, and it is not without pain that I make this announcement. That being said, I hope to receive no negative feedback on this decision - I am only doing what must be done, and am counting on your support. To those that messaged me early on about an update: I am sorry I promised you an update. At the time, I had the best of intentions and no reason to believe otherwise. To those who sent me messages that did not receive a response: I apologize. Your concerned messages were appreciated, though I was unsure of the answer, and ended up responding with nothing at all. Finally, to those who chose to leave me nasty messages: I will never understand what caused you to assume that I write for your pleasure and your pleasure alone. Writing is a desire of my own heart, and I do it whenever time and circumstance allow. I am not a personal slave, nor am I a fanfic robot that has been set to your exact standards. I am a real person with a real life and very real responsibilities, and I saw no point in responding to you since you took the liberty of speaking to me as though I was anything but.

All that being said, I want to assure my faithful readers that I am not done writing. Warmth will be finished, and I just may have a thing or two up my sleeve for the future. . . . :cough:newfic:cough:.
