Good evening.

My name is Rock Nye. (That's Rock "NEE" not Rock "...other pronunciation".) ...actually, it's just Nye. (The "Rock" part came from my friend realizing that "Nye" rhymed with "Lee" from Naruto, and therefore Rock Nye was born.)

I am 17, and a senior.

Generally, I just read fanfiction on the down low, and only write them when I'm feeling super inspired. I really do like to write, you know. It's become an outlet.

My favorite to read would be Death Note. Usually, those are the most involved ones. ...perhaps it's odd that I come to fanfiction.net to engage in deep reading. It is an aspiration of mine to write a deep one involving the death of L. Perhaps. Or maybe Light. Whichever idea punches me in the face first.

I'm also a stickler for proper grammar and sentence structure. I'm OCD like that.

Along with Death Note, I do read others like Bleach, Naruto, and InuYasha. Yes, I admit, I read yaoi, but very rarely. And it must have at least somewhat of a plot. And preferrably no sex scenes. (...even though yaoi means...oh nevermind. You understand.) Lately, I've been reading Pirates of the Caribbean. Sigh.

Eh.

My favorite Death Note pairing is the Teru Mikami/Light Yagami. So interesting... It doesn't even have to be a romantic pairing, either. I just enjoy the God/disciple thing between those two because of my tendency to over-analyze anything having to do with Death Note.

It's just so easy to analyze. =D Oh, and I do like Mogi/Misa...

My favorite Naruto pairings would be Sasuke/Hinata, Naruto/Sakura, Hinata/Kiba, Itachi/Hinata, Shino/Hinata...(is it obvious that Hinata is my favorite female character?), Neji/Tenten, and other random pairings.

As for Bleach, I'm not really picky, but I absolutely detest the Byakuya/Rukia ones...that's just...no. (Same goes for Neji/Hinata, Itachi/Sasuke, Gaara/Kankuro, Light/Sayu, InuYasha/Sesshomaru...Nye doesn't do incest. Even though Byakuya and Rukia aren't technically related, but...well. You get the point.)

As for Pirates of the Caribbean, I prefer ones with Lord Cutler Beckett. No slash. Please, no slash. I don't really like OCs, either. I guess that means I like him and Elizabeth together. It's not completely unfathomable. Just remember that scene with Lizzie in a wedding dress (clearly hot and bothered), Beckett without his daggum coat, darkness, and a pistol. See? =D

Moving on, my favorites shows would be Death Note (go figure), Naruto, and Code Geass. I absolutely adore the mangas Samurai Deeper Kyo, Chrono Crusade, and Legal Drug. I've noticed that if I read a manga, I usually don't watch the anime and vice versa. The only exception being Death Note, because I prefer the way things turned out in the manga over the anime. My favorite movies are The Last Samurai, The Forbidden Kingdom, The Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy (my first is my fave, followed by the 2nd, then the 3rd), and the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

When Nye is not watching anime, reading manga, or writing, she is usually playing her guitar or bass or listening to music. (Her favorite band is UVERworld.) She also likes to read novels. She isn't picky about what novels, but romance novels make her sick. In fact, she thinks they should all go jump in a lake with Kiyomi Takada.

When it comes to my own fanfics, I don't write them very often. I have that one Naruto one...not sure if I'll update that, and my Mogi/Misa. And that crack one. But the gears in my brain have been turning, so perhaps a plot bunny will attack yet.
