Author has written 12 stories for Phantom of the Opera, and Dracula.

Wow...I just realised I haven't changed this in a while - the actual profile bit.

This is Arcelia here! I'm a student in Australia (female) who's decided that improvement in her writing is sorely needed and the only way to do that is to...

(Isn't the suspense killing you?)

...to write!

Constructive feedback is nice, flames are generally funny because the level of refined English used generally varies from minimal to downright non-existent.

I've written for two fandoms - how depressing...I need to get around more, I suppose...and the one, lone, solitary story written for another fandom was for Dracula, for someone else's assignment.

I like my favourites though - Phantom of the Opera, Lord of the Flies, Fruits Basket, Lord of the Rings, The Mummy, Amelia Peabody, V for Vendetta - I think there's even a Dark Knight one in there...

A bit about myself!

Name: Guess.

Age: Again, not telling, but I'm a student, so I'm not THAT old...

Appearance I was born in Australia, and cannot speak my native tongue. Well, not very well, in any case. I come from the general vicinity of Eurasia - that includes the entirety of Europe and Asia. And the Middle-East. And the Subcontinent. And the Asia-Pacific region.

Personality: Sarcastic. Sardonic. Sadistic (well not really). Synical
Yes, I know "synical" is meant to be spelt with a C. I just wanted to have the whole S thing going - hence the "sadistic."

Interests (apart from POTO):

Books: Fantasy - Terry Pratchett, Sara Douglass, Robert Jordan (shamelessly epic though it is), David Eddings, etc. etc. Also historical fiction - Elizabeth Peters, Jean Plaidy, Isolde Martyn...and the classics, of course - how can anyone resist the wonders of Mr Darcy?! And Phantom of the Opera, obviously. Though Susan Kay's version, Phantom, is liable to make one attempt suicide, due to the intrinsic depressingness of the...whole thing?

Anime/Manga: My interest in these has waned slightly, though I still maintain interest in my favourites - Dazzle (Hatenkou Yuugi), Boys over Flowers (Hana Yori Dango) and Platinum Garden.

Music: Anything. Literally anything. I like Linkin Park, the Pussycat Dolls, Olivia Ruiz, Boys Like Girls, Within Temptation, many Eurovision (the Song Contest) songs, Avril Lavigne, Gregory Lemarchal and Three Days Grace. As I said, anything.

I enjoy:

- Tennis

- Reading

- Writing

- Playing music/listening to music

I am in the musical sense doing:

- With moderate amount of skill: Flute

- With what is MEANT to be a moderate amount of skill, I really am bad at: Musical Theory

- With no skill/finess whatsoever: Piano, Tenor Saxophone, Piccolo, Viola, and Clarinet

Stories:

Oneshots/Poems:

Prison of the Mind - angsty story where even Erik can't escape the darkness

Why So Silent, My Dears? - Another angsty story. The cat is silent, and so is Christine. I wonder why...?

Blood - An angsty POEM this time - Erik has just killed Christine, and is reflecting on it.

Creature of Darkness: A (you guessed it!) angsty - well, not really, but vaguely - Dracula-based one-shot. The first and last lines were given. Please note: I haven't actually read Dracula for about 4 years, so you don't really need to have read the book to understand the one-story.

Smile, Dear - Erik and Christine are married. All's well. If only she would smile...Apparently this is depressing. I suppose it is. Anyway, the depressingness and subsequent comments from people resulted in me writing...

The Monster's Dying - The monster's dying, Erik's dying, the bells rejoice, so why have you returned, foolish girl? Angsty, but it has a happy ending; which I've just realised is singular among all my one-shots.

See the Music: While there's meant to be seeing going on here, I can't actually see the point of this story. Basically, Christine gets her...rearside...saved by everyone's favourite person with a mask! (AU)

More-than-one-chapter Stories:

The Light Within - "Christine's got a perfect life - or so she thinks. Erik certainly doesn't think so..."

My most favourite multi-chapter story; if you've read SYLM, read this - you might actually enjoy it! (maybe.)

Say You Love Me - "What if Raoul didn't follow the Phantom down to his lair after Point of No Return? What if Erik lost his temper and did something...unexpected? What would happen to our little ingènue and her once-beloved Angel of Music?"

This story's hard to write. Really, it is - apart from perhaps the Antonio/Raoul scenes. Thanks for all the encouragement, people! :)

Our Promise - "What if Raoul and Christine got off on the wrong foot? How would that affect the famous story? Musical/movie based."

This story's back off the unofficial hiatus it had been in for about...err...6 months? My least favourite fanfiction that I've written.

Serez vous mienne - "Christine made Erik a promise, so long ago she can't remember...but Erik can, and now its time for the promise to be kept, in a twist that changes too much but not enough."

Owing to my natural idiocy and all that stuff, what do I do when I can't manage to write 3 stories at the same time? That's right, I start another. (Good work, Arc...) Title translates out to "Will you be mine?". I like this story. Probably more than I like Light Within, for that matter.

My 4 chapter-length stories all use a different type of writing, and I write them all in different ways.

Light Within is pretty much a sarcastic, vaguely dark at times story - its really for those who appreciate sarcastic humour (Chapter 11 currently being the best example.) The Christine that I'm working with has been warped by her past; it has left her bitter and hollow, which results in her actually being more like Erik than I think she should be. Of course, my Erik is even more sarcastic than Christine; and dark at times, too.

Our Promise is written quite a lot more lightly than the other two, and will probably contain minimal angst. Christine's an innocent, slightly deluded young woman. Otherwise known as sticking strictly to the movie/musical...

And finally, the one that the most people who would actually read this have read...

Say You Love Me

This story alternates between the dark, tension-filled scenes of Erik and Christine - though they'll start mellowing out eventually - and the Antonio/Raoul scenes which are really quite fun to write. Antonio is such a splendid OC - and he toys with Raoul a lot. Though, what with the entry of the "courtesan" Haine Colère, Antonio'll have someone to aid him in his tormenting of Monsieur le Vicomte.

To those who take the time to review my stories, THANK YOU!!
