Girl. Likes girls. You don't like it? I don't really care. Get off my profile. I love writing. It sometimes is the only thing that makes sense to me. I struggled with my sexuality growing up, and I know how hard it can be. I never had a book to read with a character struggling through the same thing as me. So, I hope to one day become a published author specializing in lesbian/gay teen books. If someone has to go through what I went through growing up, I want that person to have a character to whom he/she can relate. I want everyone who struggles with their sexuality to know there's hope and things do get better. I am currently a junior in college. The location isn't important. I am studying to become a screenwriter. So as you can guess, I want to write movies with the same plot lines as the books I hope to one day write. I won't give out personal information. It's called personal for a reason. What I hope to accomplish with my writing: Basically, I was very confused growing up. There were a lot of questions I needed answered, but I was too scared to ask anyone. So I turned to fan fiction. And through (the better written) stories I read, I was able to find the answers for which I was looking. Coming to terms with my sexuality was very hard and scary. I hated myself for the longest time and slipped into a deep depression. Now, I'm in college and I'm "out." Life is a lot easier. With my writing, I want to answer those same questions I was asking for perhaps younger people who are just starting to explore or even people my age or older who are still questioning. Coming to terms with who you are can be rough and terrifying. I want to be the light at the end of the tunnel, the little voice in my readers' ears that says, "It does get better. Just hang in there. One day at a time. You'll make it." I want my readers struggling through the same thing I did to have hope and have it better than I did. I want them to know that there's nothing wrong with them and they are NOT going to Hell. I want to make people realize that being gay is not a choice. Why would anyone choose to be ridiculed just for loving? You don't choose this life; it chooses you. What you choose is what you do with it. I choose to write in hopes of helping others. I always want to be a voice for the LGBTQ community. Sometimes I sit there and wonder, "Why me? Why was I chosen for this when it's so hard?" Well, maybe it's because I'm strong enough to deal with it. Maybe because I was blessed with this brilliant mind that comes up with stories and can adequately communicate them to the public. Maybe because someday I'll have one of the biggest voices out there. So instead of, "Why me?"... Why not me?
