Author has written 34 stories for StarTrek: The Original Series, StarTrek: The Next Generation, Reba, Threshold, Harry Potter, and Starsky and Hutch. School is back in session, y'all! I'm a high school graduate and now officially a college freshman, and I'm proud to say I've seen Star Trek XI twice and it's abso-freakin'-lutely AWESOME! My dad and I got it on DVD, and it's still amazing! I hope a lot of you guys are Trekkies, 'cause that's what most of my stories are about. I'm a HUGE fan of "Star Trek: The Next Generation," and my favorite character is Data (as you may have already guessed from my pen name). Okay, so I love him to death. Second favorite character is Bones McCoy from Star Trek: TOS - I love his dry sense of humor and the way he's always bickering with Spock. The fact that he has nice eyes is a plus, too :) Not to mention I'm a Harry Potter fan from way back - I think Professor Minerva McGonagall is the most awesome teacher at Hogwarts! And I love Starsky and Hutch too, but seriously, what's not to love about two sexy cops racing around town in a gorgeous, candy-apple red Gran Torino and kicking bad-guy butt? My Hogwarts House is Gryffindor, where dwell the brave at heart! Just like Minerva McGonagall, I'm proud to be a Gryffindor Lioness. My position aboard the Enterprise is in Engineering - I get to work with Data, Geordi, and Reginald Barclay, YES! I'm a future English teacher and extremely nitpicky about grammar - I'm constantly correcting mistakes I see in other people's work; I nearly drove my friends at school crazy. My English teacher, on the other hand, was tickled to pieces. :D That said, I also hope to publish a novel someday - I'm currently working on a mystery series about a team of detectives solving murder cases and the like in Rehoboth Beach, DE, and I'm constantly on the lookout for new ideas for the series (which explains my fascination with crime drama and true crime stories). Last, but certainly not least, I'm a Christian who loves her Lord and her country more than words can say. So kick back, relax, and enjoy. And don't forget to - as I say Spock's famous phrase - Live Long and Laugh Much! Cheers, much love, and God Bless, DataLady91 My Favorite Things: Favorite Music: Plenty of oldies from the 40's to the early 90's, especially 80's (the cheesier the better!), but my all-time favorite music is that of the Carpenters. Karen had the most beautiful voice of all time! I'm also a country girl born and bred! I love Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Brooks and Dunn, Rascal Flatts, and more! Favorite Movies: Nearly all the Star Treks (except The Motion Picture, The Final Frontier, and Nemesis), Harry Potter (although the first two are the best!), Men In Black I and II, all the Disney musicals from The Little Mermaid through Tarzan, Sister Act (who doesn't love those nuns?!), all three of the High School Musicals, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and so many more! Favorite Shows: Star Trek: The Next Generation (THE greatest Star Trek series of all time!!), Star Trek TOS, NCIS (I am also a Gibbs fangirl; Mark Harmon is HOT!), Starsky and Hutch, Laverne and Shirley, Designing Women, I Love Lucy, Dancing With The Stars (message me if you think Brent Spiner should be on this show!!), Looney Tunes cartoons (Bugs Bunny rocks my world!), Scooby Doo, Where Are You?, Charmed, MASH, H2O: Just Add Water, Threshold... again, too many to name! Favorite Books: The Bible, Harry Potter, Twilight, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Last Sin Eater, Ella Enchanted, To Kill A Mockingbird, Star Trek novels, The Black Dagger Brotherhood series, the Women's Murder Club series and Daniel X series (both by James Patterson), and many, many more! I'm a major bookworm, can't you tell? Favorite Food: CHOCOLATE!! YUM! In the words of Counselor Deanna Troi, "I never met a chocolate I didn't like." Second favorite would be ice cream (Classic Chocolate, Rocky Road, and Mint Chocolate Chip). Heck, I just love food, period. I love McDonald's fries, especially when they're piping hot and salty, YUM! Favorite Colors: Purple (the color of royalty - and one of my school colors!), blue (the color of the sky on a perfect day, the ocean depths, and Brent Spiner's gorgeous eyes!), red (the color of love), silver (like the midnight stars, and another school color!), and gold (like my darling Data's eyes!). Celebrity Crushes: Brent Spiner and Mark Harmon, the two hottest actors on TV today! Gotta love Lt. Commander Data and Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs! The soundtrack of my life: "Born To Fly" by Sara Evans "Being Myself" by Martina McBride I don't listen to the critics Just being myself I can be the drama queen, wear my emotions on my sleeve sometimes I've got my share of problems Just being myself Don’t really wanna be nobody else "Ride" by Martina McBride "Who I Am" by Jessica Andrews I am Rosemary's granddaughter So when I make a big mistake I am Rosemary's granddaughter I'm a saint and I'm a sinner I am Rosemary's granddaughter "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole (dedicated to Brent Spiner and his amazing character Data): No, never before Random Craziness: If you've ever woken up from a really crazy dream and rushed down stairs to tell everyone you live with how nuts it was, only to have forgotten what it was all about by the time you reach the kitchen table, copy and paste this into your profile. Scotty has to report to Captain Kirk that the light bulb in the Engineering Section is getting dim, at which point Kirk will send Bones to pronounce the bulb dead (although he'll immediately claim that he's a doctor, not an electrician). Scotty, after checking around, realizes that they have no more new light bulbs, and complains that he "canna" see in the dark. Kirk will make an emergency stop at the next uncharted planet, Alpha Regula IV, to procure a light bulb from the natives, who, are friendly, but seem to be hiding something. Kirk, Spock, Bones, Yeoman Rand and two red shirt security officers beam down to the planet, where the two security officers are promply killed by the natives, and the rest of the landing party is captured. As something begins to develop between the Captain and Yeoman Rand, Scotty, back in orbit, is attacked by a Klingon destroyer and must warp out of orbit. Although badly outgunned, he cripples the Klingon and races back to the planet in order to rescue Kirk et. al. who have just saved the natives' from an awful fate and, as a reward, been given all lightbulbs they can carry. The new bulb is then inserted and the Enterprise continues on its five year mission. Girls How to Tell if You're a Writer (this is so me...) -If you talk to yourself. -If you talk to yourself about talking to yourself (i.e. ‘I wonder why I talk to myself so much?’) -If, when you talk to yourself, you sometimes speak as if talking to another person (i.e. ‘Okay, so have you ever noticed that the word ‘deliver’ could mean removing someone’s liver?’) -If, after uttering a profound piece of wisdom like that above, you stare at the cookie in your hand in awe and say, ‘Wow, this is good stuff for sugar highs!’ (If you live off of sugar and caffeine. -If people start to notice that you tend to check your e-mail every day for a week, then suddenly disappear off the face of the planet. -If your e-mails tend to be pages long and incredibly random. -If, when replying to someone else’s e-mail, you are sometimes so random that you fail to address the original message altogether. -If you tend to collect the Bic Stics people leave lying around, kind of like picking pennies off the ground. -If, no matter where you are in your room, you never have to so much as get up to reach a pen/pencil and paper. -If the letters are starting to wear off on the keys of your keyboard. -If people think you might have A.D.D. -If you think it’d be cool to have A.D.D. -If you start constantly talking in third person, past tense. -If you think about making lists like this, and start giggling for no ‘apparent’ reason. -If your friends don’t even bother to look funny at you anymore when you start giggling for no apparent reason. -And finally, the number one way to tell if you’re a good writer: If you worship English 101. I can't speak at all I can't do a wrong Or else I'm locked up All the day long When I awake I'm all alone The house is dark My folks aren't home. When my mommy does come I'll try and be nice, So maybe I'll get just One whipping tonight Don't make a sound! I just heard a car My daddy is back From Charlie's Bar. I hear him curse My name he calls I press myself Against the wall. I try and hide From his evil eyes I'm so afraid now I'm starting to cry. He finds me weeping He shouts ugly words, He says its my fault That he suffers at work. He slaps me and hits me And yells at me more, I finally get free And I run for the door. He's already locked it And I start to bawl, He takes me and throws me Against the hard wall. I fall to the floor With my bones nearly broken, And my daddy continues With more bad words spoken. "I'm sorry!", I scream But its now much too late His face has been twisted Into unimaginable hate. The hurt and the pain Again and again Oh please God, have mercy! Oh please let it end! And he finally stops And heads for the door, While I lay there motionless Sprawled on the floor. My name is Sarah And I am but three, Tonight my daddy, Murdered me. Child abuse, MAKE IT STOP!
