Crack. Hey guys! My name's CC. I'm 15, a girl from Australia. Currently I'm in the fandom of ... to be honest I'm a bit out of fanfiction at the moment. I have my own novels to worry about, not to mention all this schoolwork really isn't good for my health. I love writing oneshots and reading long stories over 50k words (hypocritical, aren't I?) and will always try to give good feedback! I value constructive criticism, so please throw it at my face! Non-violently xD I also usually never favourite a story without reviewing. If I do, you are free to pester me about reviewing. It's probably because your story was so awesome I was rendered speechless. My thoughts on... The Silmarillion: I am a die-hard fangirl of Curufinwë Fëanáro. I became Feanor-ified very early on (like the case of Monday's Noon in Keys to the Kingdom, see below) so any awesome stuff anyone else did never overtook Feanor's awesomeness. And I also love (in order) Celegorm, Maedhros, Maglor, Fingon, Curufin, Finrod, etc. I love every Noldorin elf except Maeglin. Amongst my least favourites are Turin, Beren, Luthien (SUE!), Thingol, Daeron, Maeglin and Eol. Types of stories I love: - Morgoth and/or Sauron crack (but mostly Morgoth) - Feanorian/Noldorin crack - Epic longer-than-50k stories - Ata!Feanor and ata!Curufin stories. Or just cute Feanorian family stories in general. Types of stories I hate: - Mary Sues (Parodies are all fine) - Canon/OC - Wimpy!Maglor and wimpy!Finarfin, unless in crack - Mary Sues Pairings I like (no sueing now): - Fingon/Maedhros (or vice versa) - Morgoth/Feanor (in a dark, lusty way) - Morgoth/Maedhros (in either crack or a dark, lusty way) Personal canon (mostly via Silmarillion): - Ereinion Gil-galad is Fingon's son (Okay, there's proof for and against this one, but I don't care. Matter of opinion.) - Amras did not die at Losgar. Although I don't mind him dying. But it's too angsty, and Sil has enough angst. - Feanor and all of his sons except Maedhros set fire to the Telerin ships. - Orodreth is Finarfin's son. - Celegorm is blond. Favourite part That would have to be...Feanor's speech of awesome. I loved it. It was so passionate and awe-inspiring, and I was ready to grab a sword and follow as well. ("Let the cowards keep this city!" Erm...sorry.) Well, I think it ties with Feanor slamming his door in Morgoth's face, actually. That was hilarious, and that was the phrase that ultimately turned me into a Feanor-fangirl. Least favourite part I think Beren and Luthien overrides Turin Turambar as of now. At least Turin was badass. [Note: after reading Unfinished Tales, Turin is no longer that bad. He's still pretty urgghh, but he's okay now.] But Luthien is such a sue, and I cannot believe Huan followed her. I thought hounds were supposed to be loyal! I mean, Celegorm was the one who had fed him and loved him, and how does Huan repay him? By helping his love interest (I don't believe he actually loved her, I think he just liked her looks) escape. And Beren! After going 'Oh, getting a Silmaril is soooo easy', he goes off to beg Finrod and gets him killed. And then he himself dies without doing a damn thing. And the things they did to Celegorm and Curufin. SDLFKDSF! (I'm a Feanorian fangirl, remember? I do feel for Finrod, but still.) Lord of the Rings My favourite character is Glorfindel 8D And then (in no particular order) Elladan and Elrohir, Legolas, Aragorn, Eowyn, Eomer, Sam, etc. I have many problems with the movies, which I will proceed to rant out here. Problems with the movies. Arwen-related: - SHE STOLE ASFALOTH! (-stamps 'Property of Glorfindel'-) - SHE STOLE GLORFINDEL'S SCENE! His one, awesome scene! -whimpers- - She had absolutely no lines in books FotR and TTT! Whyyyy did she get so many in the movie? Non-Arwen-related - Gollum parted Frodo and Sam! D: - No Glorfindel! D: Or 'Dan and 'Ro! DD: - Aragorn falling off a cliff...sad. - Haldir DYING at Helm's Deep! (Okay, I like the fact that Haldir came. Just not the fact that he died.) Favourite scene: Okay, there are lots. Sam fighting Ungoli-- I mean, Shelob. (No, it's true, I did accidentally type that, and thought it was funny if it stayed there), Legolas taking down the Mumakil (and then Gimli's reaction), Eowyn slaying the Lord of the Nazgul, Gimli VS Legolas ("I'm on two!" "I'm on fourteen!" "WHAT?"), 'Toss the Dwarf', the storming of Isengard, Helm's Deep, etc. Keys to the Kingdom Hmm, of the books, I love Mister Monday the most. It's great, and prominently features Noon and Dusk. (I think Garth Nix had so much potential with the Times, but threw it away D:) Favourite character would have to be Lord Sunday. He's just so awesome~ Great villain-without-being-a-villain. [I stand by that he was 'good'.] But it's a pity we barely see him. The Seventh Key literally being a key was also funny. His Times were green! Green! (Okay, so kind of creepy. Still.) And insect-soldiers...Sunday is such a treehugger xD After Sunday, I like Monday's Old Noon (AKA New Dusk). I refer to his times by their old names, so Noon is the Old Noon and Dusk is the Old Dusk, kay? The first time Noon appeared, I totally fell in love with him. Tall, hot -shot-, handsome, silver tongue, epic persuasive skills, easy confidence, and most of all, evil-sounding. Yes, evil appeals a lot to me. I don't know why either. So (like the case of Feanor in the Silmarillion, see above) I became a Noon fangirl very early on, and any amount of Dusk being awesome would never overtake that. And then it's Dusk. Nice, sweet, cute, innocent, helpful, loyal, good Dusk. I love him, of course, as much as any Dusk-fangirl should. But his brother is better. Sorry Dusk, but not everyone can like you better. Noon needs a hug. -huggles Noon- Pity none of them appeared after Monday. And then, as of today, Friday's Noon. Tall, blond, hot, and wears a monocle. Sorry, but that is just so cool, in my fangirl-thoughts xDD I immediately loved him as well. So yes, love you Noon. I also love your brother's Winged Servants of the Night. They're cool. Thursday's Times also seem pretty cool, but they lack originality next to Monday's beautiful Noon and Dusk. I haven't read Superior Saturday for a long time, but I have a feeling I'll like Saturday's Dusk. He just seems to be everywhere and so awesome. And he's evil 8D Favourite scene: Too easy. Monday's Noon VS Monday's Dusk SHOWDOWN. It was short, but so, so good. Dusk coming to meet Arthur in the Deep Coal Cellar was also good. As was Sunday's long speech about how he just wants to tend to his garden. But if the idiot had just told the truth, Arthur would've just handed the Keys over to him. -sigh- Proud, proud Sunday Least favourite scene: Ending. Alsakdjlfajsdklfjasdfalsdfhl That is all 8D Alex Rider Note: the following will have NO SPOILERS to Scorpia Rising (only) UNTIL the big fat spoiler sign. I recently got re-hooked back into AR because of beautiful Scorpia Rising ^-^ It really is a wonderful book, go buy it. Anyway, my favourite character is Yassen Gregorovich. I mean, he's a blond, hot Russian assassin. Who can't love him? ...Don't answer that. My favourite book is either Eagle Strike or Scorpia Rising, they're both so awesome. (The ending of Eagle Strike, even if it's really sad, is SUPER-AWESOMETASTIC 8D). My least favourite is Crocodile Tears. I just felt it was a bit overused . And then Skeleton Key, because I can't remember what happened and it doesn't sound too interesting. The Stormbreaker Movie First of all, no offense to anyone who likes Damian Lewis (he's awesome), but they really shouldn't chosen someone younger, hotter, and actually blond to play Yassen. And all the hanging upside-down thing? The first time it was creepy. The second time it was funny. The third time the audience goes WTF?!? to something like that. So yeah. Dodgy. Apart from that, it was an alright movie xD SPOILERS FOR SCORPIA RISING, READ NO FURTHER! (Instead, go buy the book!) -silence- -more silence- So yeah~ I love, love, love Julius Grief. He is like, the (2nd) awesomest, cutest villain of all time. (Yassen's the hot one, Julius is the cute one. Yeahhh.) And he's squishable. Don't ask me why, he just is. Some of my favourite quotes from Scorpia Rising were at the very end when he went completely hysterical. (It was cute.) And I so can imagine him lying by the side of the road, eyes wide with a bullet through his head...it's awfully sad. And that part with Alex and helicopter... -lovelovelove- And yes, I am perfectly aware that he is creepy. (But he's so cute and loveable! I love villains xD) Scorpia Rising as a whole was wonderful. Packed with action, ohmygod Jacckkkk DDDD, Smithers's gadget was funny xD I didn't believe it when I read it. And I kind of feel sorry for Blunt. Just a little. The ending was alright, not unrealistic but I understand why fans wouldn't like it. So underlying message of my rant (still spoiler'd): Yassen is awesome and hot, Julius is cute and squishable, Smithers is awesome, RIP Jack, Yassen is awes-- oh wait I already said that. ALSO, ALSO!
