Miheal Kheel, or Mello, is a free-spirited leader of a small gang, and lives by his own rules. After a successful infiltration of an enemy's head-quarters, they kidnap who they believe to be a member, but turns out to be more than Mello bargained for - a memory-derived albinic child who claims to be called Near. Emotions caught somewhere between guilt and pity, Mello decides to keep the boy as a pet. Much to his own dismay, he undertakes a change of heart towards the innocent, and his new bond will be tested.

Currently in the making... (Others)

Truth is all around us, but it's sometimes difficult to distinguish it from the lies..

This is a new idea I'm currently working on. It's a Death Note mystery visual novel, taking place just before the series begins, in a fictional area in the USA. Anyways, the main objective is to play as Mello and solve the murder of Naomi Misora's relative (sister, or cousin, I haven't decided) by learning clues and information. Pairings such as MattxMello, and MelloxNear are possible in branches (which I'll include many of, I mind you!) from the main story. Not anything hardcore (I know "boo"). But fear not! For shounen-ai is quite abundant in places. Of course, Matt and Near are the sub-characters you'll be talking to quite often (though circumstances won't allow in depth conversation with Near for a bit). Naomi, and Raye shall be in it (suspects!?), also some original characters necessary for the game, but no romance can come from them (how I detest OC love...). More info on them can be found below...

Main Character

Mello

The boy you take control of, Mello's a brilliant and impulsive lad always itching for excitement. He can make friends with almost anybody, but can create enemies just as easily. Mello's a very emotional individual, who, with proper concentration, can utilize and draw strength from within when needed. That doesn't mean he has full control of it however, for he's known to be violent at times. Chocolate in hand, he's ready to take on anything thrown at him, but this case is something he never expected.

Sub-Main Characters

Matt

Mello's lazy yet reliable best friend. Ever since meeting at the orphanage, the two have been stuck like glue. Matt's very social and observant, but prefers just hanging around; this case in no exception. At a young age, Matt was introduced to firearms, and his fascination with them has only grown (though the orphanage prohibits such things, much to his disappointment). Fond of shiny things and video games, this easy-going rascal is sure to help out.

Near

A withdrawn boy who loves nothing more than peace and solitude. Unlike Matt, first impressions with Mello weren't so well. With his indifferent demeanor and fragile body, Near became instant pray for bullying, which he would usually submit to without complaint. An inverted Mello in every way, even down to his white clothing and reserved enjoyment of vanilla. The only similarities between the two reside in their almost identical level of intelligence.

Victim

Kasumi Whitelily

A beautiful young Japanese woman who moved to America with her husband. She was found early in the morning, dead in the Whitelily Garden due to poison. Little is known as of yet who she really was. It might takes some time to find the truth below the lies...

Supporting Characters

Naomi Misora

Relative of the murder victim. She and her fiancee came to visit on the very day of the murder. She is calm, presumptive, and has a thing for leather. She often finds herself staring off into space, her mind busily at work digging deeper into something small and most likely over-looked...

Raye Penber

Naomi's fiancee. This sharp-eyed man has a reputation of spying detail, but that's as far as it goes. Whether he's nonchalant or simply lazy is only known to him. It may take some prying to get any useful information out of him...

Hika

A young homeless boy who has had very little human contact since a child. Described by many as "a paradox", he is shy, but friendly. Stubborn, yet easily persuaded. Strangely enough, he talks to animals and inanimate objects, claiming that nobody else will; an excuse for loneliness, it's assumed. He seems to have only gotten along with the victim particularly well...

Reed Whitelily

The victim's husband. Due to inheritance, he is very wealthy. Normally, he'd be a very kind and intelligent man. Since his wife's death, he seems to have fallen into a state of depression. He holds a strong resentment towards Hika, for he was last to be seen with his beloved alive...

Ivy Misora

The victim's mother. She has been living near the Whitelily Manor since her daughter's marriage. Often, she visited, but no longer does since Kasumi passed...

Charles Pennant

Whitelily butler. He is known for his kind smile and understanding. The man is willing to do whatever it takes to find the killer, even making baseless assumptions. He's the only known person to have had access into the gardens so late at night...

This game is very early in it's stages... Heck, I haven't even figured out the whole story-line yet. I just drew some CGs! :D Anyways, yeah. There are more important characters, but it's too late for me to be writing anything else at this hour, so I'll stop here for now.

Death Note character I'm most like: Take a Mello, some Naomi, a little Raito, a splash of Matsuda, just a pinch of L, and a bit of Matt for good measure. Yeah, that's kinda messed up... Simpler format... Ahem. I'm compulsive, free-spirited, serious when I should be, have a sense of humor, can be really creepy sometimes, and I have a strong sense of Justice, but I also look at things through the criminals point of veiw as well, which gets in the way of my better judgment. Also, I don't care for people too much, and life does get boring without any challenges. Also, I believe I would make a decent Kira, .. Yeah, Hail Kira!! (月: Whoo! Now we can get rid of Misa!)
