I'm a fan..and this is fan-fiction after all. But what exactly am I a fan of, well for starters - well written, expressive, verbally enticing, spellbinding fics written by people who really care about the subject matter.

About me: 30'something, single, professional culinarian with a penchant for short story and poetry writing. Also owner of an unused Journalism degree and former English tutor.
Hobbies: food, wine, travel, anything French or Japanese (I can speak French quite well and I'm up to conversational Japanese), the beach, cartoons (old-school and anime), comic books (Marvel please), movies (but I'm awfully picky there), University of Miami football, the NY Yankees and the New England Patriots (yes, I am well aware of that irony in my preferences of team sports) and most importantly my ever expanding book collection (I read at least 3 books/month and buy at least 10/month in order to satisfy my thirst for the written word..at last count I'm up to 436 in the house alone, not counting what's in storage - I also didn't take into account that I have been buying/collecting/reading at least 10 manga books a month..it's an addiction I tell you.)

I found Fan-Fiction by accident one day while doing a search for manga books on-line and I have been hooked ever since. Honestly, I am glued to the website at home and unfortunately sometimes at work, living vicariously through the wonderful stories by some of the most amazing fiction writers I've ever read. If I had the time I think I would try my own hand at writing a drabble or two - I've learned much these last few months about the inner world of fan-fiction and I have to say, it excites and thrills me that there are so many people involved. But for now, I must be content being a reader.

My favorite: Inuyasha (definitely Kagome/Sesshomaru pairings and some Kagome/Miroku as well - if I wanted to read about Inuyasha/Kagome, I'd stick to the manga), Fruits Basket, Bleach...seems like I have a thing for guys with odd colored hair specifically either White or Orange - guess who fits that description!?

Update 10/27/09: I just posted my 1st chapter for my very 1st fanfic. I have been puttering around with it for months and finally decided to give it a shot. Be gentle please ;)
