Author has written 1 story for Fire Emblem. Do the right thing. It will satisfy some and amaze the rest. - Mark Twain Only two things are infinite. Human stupidity and the universe; and I'm not sure about the universe. - Albert Einstein ABOUT ME: Name: Jeremy Fain, Jebby, Jeb, Bullfrog MY FAVORITE... Anime: I enjoy Hellsing, Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, and Pokemon. I STRONGLY DISLIKE... Politics, brussel sprouts, poor grammar, poor spelling, organized religion, and hippity-hop music. WHY I DISLIKE THEM: Politics: Politics change people. Altruism in politics is a near impossibility, as every action you take as a politician is taken to improve YOUR standing amongst the people. Politics corrupt and twist. Brussel sprouts: This speaks for itself. They're little and green and bitter. Kind of like angry midget aliens. That you eat. Poor grammar/spelling: If you have a basic grasp of the English language, you should know how to speak/type/write English properly. 'I'm only thirteen' is a bullshit excuse and a cop-out. My eight year old brother can write in complete sentences; why can't you? Organized religion: Religion is an excuse for why we do bad things. We don't do bad things because we were driven to sin by Eve, we do bad things because we're humans and we suck. I recently received an email that read, 'Jesus loves you.' It went on to say, 'If you don't worship him, you're going to Hell.' I replied with, 'If Jesus loves me, why would he send me to Hell?' A few hours later, I received this...'Well, Jesus doesn't want to, but he'll have to if you don't worship.' I sent back, 'Well, I would imagine that because he's Jesus, he wouldn't HAVE to do anything. He IS Jesus, after all.' Their reply made me laugh: 'You see, it's like this. Jesus loves you...but his dad thinks you're a shit.' Hip-hop/rap: "...MUP DA DOO DIDDA PO MO GUB BIDDA BE DAT TUM MUHFUGEN BIX NOOD COF BIN DUB HO MUHFUGGA" I'm no professional writer. I know that. I make mistakes. Spelling, grammar, continuity, all kinds of mistakes. But there's a difference between me and the thousands of authors out there who write self-insert stories and assault those who don't like their fandom of choice. I USE A SPELL-CHECKER. I make sure I've spelled something right, I'm using it in the right context, and it sounds like something someone might actually say. Chatspeak is for half-wits, lazy writing is for losers. I put effort into my writing, and I know not everyone will enjoy it. I certainly don't expect most people to absolutely love my work. I do, however, hope that they read my work with open minds. MY THOUGHTS ON... The universe: It's big, it's spacious, it's reminiscent of Stephanie Meyers' ego. Gay Marriage: 1) Gay marriage is not natural, and as Americans, we always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and lyposuction. 2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall. 3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract. 4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal. 5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed. 6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children. 7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children. 8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America. 9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children. 10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans... Food: Food is here for us to enjoy. Why do we worry about it so much? | |||||||||||
