Author has written 3 stories for Teen Titans, and Haibane Renmei. I'm scrapping both my stories and putting up rewritten chapters later. Don't expect them to come out any time soon though (Like, oh, I don't know, the next year or two?). ;) Anyways, about me, right... I'm a girl, I'm American, and, as you can tell, I'm extremely descriptive. And oh yeah, I ramble. A lot. This isn't because I actually have anything remotely important to say, it's just that I like the sound of my own voice. Can't stand silence either. If I'm in the car with someone and no one's saying anything, expect me to start singing 'Banana Phone' or something about peanut butter at any moment. My oh-so-original likes: Reading and writing (shockers, huh?) Anime AMVs Video games Role playing I'll listen to pretty much any music Irony and sarcasm are my two best friends, if you hadn't noticed yet. And the dislikes (More like pet peeves, but whatever): Sniffling (I've gotten better at restraining myself from strangling whoever the offender happens to be. Better. At the risk of sounding like Hanna Montana, nobody's perfect y'know.) Loud chewing When writing the POV in stories, the author puts 'Normal POV'. Seriously, am I the only one that has heard of a magic phrase called 1st person? When I read crappy fics that had no effort put into the plot, grammar or spelling. At points I have to wonder if they've even seen the show or just know the names and description of the characters then guess at their personality. In other words, blatant oocness. When the above stories get 30+ reviews that consist mostly of 'OMG soooooo good plz continue!!1!1' and the other fics that actually have some shred of quality don't get any. When people ask me to define a word I just used. Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one with a vocabulary in this world. I'm currently whining over the fact that my username has to have '2560' after it because 'Willowleaf' is already taken. Except that when I look up the accursed name-stealer, nothing comes up. I don't know if the search system is loopy or the 'already taken' message is, but I'm still mad. Favorite Quotes: I love deadlines. I love the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. -Douglas Adams Procrastinators unite tomorrow! -Every other t-shirt I read (No, really though, we've actually decided on a location to hold the procrastinators convention. Of course, the guy that got around to settling it got kicked out of the planning committee for going against the first rule of the organization, but that's not the point.) You never know what you're capable of until you see what you've done. -Donteatacowman "Story of my life," he murmured. "You fight all this way to help somebody, and as soon as you get there they figure out how to help themselves." -inverted_ninja (on a private role play board) You know, I just might to have to send my dictionary minions to attack you with words consisting of three syllables or more. You'll never withstand it. -My Mom (in response to a friend's email) The world sucks, but if it didn't we'd all fall off. -Unknown On the way back they sang a number of tuneful and reflective songs on the subjects of peace, justice, morality, culture, sport, family life and the obliteration of all other life forms. -Douglas Adams "Good! Good! Good! You're wrong, but you're wrong in an interesting way!" - Robert Birmingham Favorite Words: Shame on me, but I have two favorite words. What kind of sick, twisted psycho am I anyways? The doctors still aren't sure, but they know it's serious. Almost as bad as someone having two best friends. shakes head The words 'two' and 'favorite' aren't allowed to be put together in the same sentence. 'Two' is 'favorite's' worst enemy! 'Two' defeats the purpose of 'favorite' and 'favorite' does the same to 'two'! Anyone that understands my logic gets a cyber cookie and cake. They get to choose the flavors! Anywhoo, on with the original point of this section! 1. Nutshell - It's just a fun word. I mean, how is it NOT completely and totally awesome in every way? Plus it's useful. 2. Melancholy - Who knows why I like this word? It just has a nice ring to it. I've been obsessed with it since I knew the word existed (I used to think it meant 'peacefully happy'.) Addictive Song of the Moment: Every once in a while I'll get a song stuck in my head, and will listen to it over and over again until I'm completely sick of it. At that point I'll find another song to be addicted to. Iris by Goo Goo Dolls Story Plans: So far I've been attacked by so many plot bunnies I don't know what I should write, so I don't. It's not so much writer's block but the exact opposite. I'll start writing something, but can't concentrate because twenty other ideas are gnawing at the back of my head. I start on one of those, but can't concentrate because I really should update on the role play board I'm on...but when I try that this one thing... you get the picture. This has been going on in my brain for about as long as I've attempted to put stories down on paper, resulting in the fact that even if I DO stick with something (like, say, Connections, anyone?) it turns out to be a half-baked idea with an iffy beginning, no middle whatsoever, and a vague idea of how to wrap it all up. But hey, that's what practice is for, right? In any case, if I ever do put something else up here, it's going down below first in case there's an off chance someone feels like sharing with me just what category of 'terrible' it goes under. Fake or Fiction? Summary: Two sisters, Lillian and Mary Sue Anders get sucked into the world of Teen Titans. Or at least, that's what they think. Now to get back home, they must face every bad fanfiction cliché and OC in the book. WARNING: Do not read if you're sensitive about pairings (or brain meltage, whichever one). You have been warned. Lillian: 16, hasn't seen Teen Titans for years, thinks it's for little kids. Kids like her rabid fangirl of a little sister, Mary Sue. Level headed in all situations, she more than just leans towards the shy side around people she doesn't know. Glasses, braces, freckles, red hair and wishy-washy, she's not what you'd call picture perfect. Mary Sue: Living up to her name, she's so kind, beautiful, giving, funny, and strong you can't help hate or love her, and only truely heartless supervillains can do the former (or jealous inferior girls). At the age of 12 she is a Teen Titans nut, her favorite being Robin. She's a black belt in several different kinds of martial arts, has rich, dark, cherry red hair, eyes that can entrance you and make you feel lightheaded and change color with her mood, and flawless skin. In other words, she /is/ what you'd call picture perfect. Chapter names: Season of Love, Time for Hunting! (romance) Depths of Shallowness (general) I See a Pity Party, but no Baloons (angst) It's a Bird! It's a Plane! It's Super Sue! (action) You Could Cut the Mood with an Eyelash (suspense) The Dangers of Fast Food (tragedy) Writing style: Whenever focusing on a Teen Titan or Mary Sue, the terrible no-grammar-necessary type. Short, to-the-point, and sarcastic when being seen from sane eyes (AKA Lillian). Healing Things Change, the Teen Titans' series finale, was about Beast Boy learning to move on, but what about Terra? If she did remember, how did she learn to move on? Did she do it at all? This is her story, because there's a difference between healing and becoming too numb to feel the pain. Even if change is a natural part of life, accepting it never is. (Final Mind of an Apprentice chapter?) | |||||
