15/08/12: Someone is coming... a figure Darker than BLACK.

AutoBio: My fandoms are a bit here and there so I can't list all of them. Currently though, there is FFVII and FFversusXIII. That is mainly revolving around Cloud and Noctis in particular. To this day, I have no interest in XIII. I have no idea why Noctis has been such a muse to me either. Ever since I saw the trailers, the plots have been coming to me in a steady stream, as you can see by my fic list. :D

I am a natural lurker but I can get rather chatty. Most times I do not leave reviews on stories but that has no bearing on whether I enjoyed a fic or not. I am rather picky in the fics that I will read though. If your plotline isn't interesting to me that just means it's not interesting to me. It does not mean that I dislike your writing style or your idea. Summaries are important but not everything and I can get a certain feel for the maturity of the writer when reading certain summaries. I would also like to add that given my age,

I may not find certain plotlines interesting simply because I find them trivial. As I read various fandoms on FFN, I am finding that the things that may shock/intrigue/enthrall younger readers simply will not do the same for me. That isn't the fault of the author.

The process that goes into my writing is quite extensive. Even then, there are mistakes that fall through the cracks and are missed. If you catch one and it bothers you, know that it would bother me too. You cannot even imagine how anal I am on my own work. If you let me know, I won't overlook it. Each chapter comes from a mental outline and multiple drafts. Each fic has a set plot and set destination by the time the first chapter is posted. So no, I don't get ideas from my reviewers or my readers. I am so protective of my plot lines and keep spoilers to myself that I don't even tell my bestie. My bestie who does not even read my fics. Meaning that nobody is privy to what is coming when I'm working on a fic.

All my fics are written to completion because I absolutely hate unfinished fics. If a fic does not get finished, that means something's happened to me.

My fervent hope is to never write a fic that has any reader bashing their heads in because (a) my grammar is so grotesquely awful; (b) my plots are so mind numbingly idiotic; and/or (c) just that badly written. It is a good thing when a reader bashes their head in because your story is so intriguing they're out of their minds excited about your next update. I have done it for many a great and awe inspiring fics posted on here.

A couple people have asked me recently, what fics I read... and I can't honestly say I read fanfics anymore. I get my cravings like any other fan girl who's been robbed of her ship or merely teased in canon and left unsatisfied. This is why we read fanfic, no? There is an overabundance of downright awful fanfics in the archives of FFN and its becoming increasingly difficult to weed through the bad to find the good. There seems to be no reprieve when I find myself reading equally awful books on my Kindle app on iIgnis. There are fanfics written better than these paid authors and its painful to realize that. Whether they're "New York Times Best Sellers" or not, most of the books coming out these days are terrible. I find the stories I've been reading lately are examples of what not to sound like when I'm writing than examples to follow. :(

Side note: I have recently discovered the Story Traffic feature on here and realized that Thaman still gets some traffic. I haven't touched, read or thought about that story in a long time. So I read a chapter, a random chapter and I'm appalled. I really... I can't even say. I still believe in the story and the messages in it, it's just the ... ack! I feel bad for the readers who have to read how horribly written it is. I can't even promise that I'll rewrite it because it would be a complete retouching that I do not have time for.

Background on Certain Fics:

Star Crossed - this idea sprang up after watching the DKS3713 trailer on loop. I tried to leave things subtle and tragic and hopeful all in one.

Noctum Will Rise- This was only supposed to be a retelling of the trailer.. catching a glimpse of what is going through Noctis' head during everything. I am keeping with the latin based name theme that Nomura and Co seem to be favoring. Making this fic more challenging is the word usage I'm using. I can't write Shakespeare and I'm not going to even try, but I'm going for a lyrical quality to my words. Why? Because of all the Shakespeare quotes being spouted in the trailers. -Complete-

The Eclipse Series - This is a sequel to Noctum. Originally, I hadn't been trying to make it a real sequel, merely just basing one shots out of the Noctum verse to make it easier since I had the characterizations set already. Then it quickly evolved and the plotlines I left open in Noctum had to be addressed, at least for me anyway. Eclipse is the longest worded fic I have ever written. It's really rather epic, even though it wasn't intended to be when I first started writing it. -Complete-

Adventum Aduro - Noctum was my test and experiment. Eclipse was my indulgence. Adventum is my challenge. It is a different approach to the scenes we've seen in the trailers. It has nothing to do with Noctum or Eclipse. You find that out pretty quickly. Noctis is not the same in this. It's a darker more obsessive Noctis. NoctumNoctis was more of a brooder who was filled with self loathing even though he never actually did anything wrong. AdventumNoctis isn't just a brooder. He's complex in a very different way. His dark tendencies stem from the things that he's already done that the reader does not know and has already lived with the consequences. Both versions of Noctis have a problem with control. They hate that they have been led by people that they did not trust. -Complete-

Soul inspired Scene from Basilisk

Creperum Consurgo - Working on the FanFic50 aka The Lacesco Series was definitely a challenge. A pleasurable, creative challenge but still a challenge. As I was scrambling for ideas on how to approach the last prompt, I was in the middle of watching the anime, Blassreiter. FFN having absolutely no section for this awesome, fascinating anime (at the time) was disappointing. The character of Joseph Jobson so closely resembled how I had characterized Noctis that it seemed a given that I should combine the two. Not only does the Versus archive need more entries, I needed something fresh and different. The thought of a Crossover really repels me usually and I almost didn't write Bivium as it came out. Adding Joseph into the Versus world opens up so many possibilities and so closely ties into what we already know about the story, that I would have loved the idea had someone else created it first. I call Noctis and Joseph my anime twins because they look so alike and they act so alike. If you have watched Blassreiter, I think you will get a kick out of reading this and if you have not, you're going to be blown away by the things that adding Joseph brings to the table. - Completed -

This is to the person who feels the need to review each of my prompts with 15 different FFN screen names... STOP! You think I don't know that you are the same person reviewing over and over again? I am sure that you are not mean spirited and have only the best intentions but you need to stop reviewing each of my chapters as if you actually were all these different people. You have been doing this for quite awhile and I have been silent on the subject thus far but this has GOT to stop. Though it is flattering that you enjoy my stories so much that you are willing to make up all these different screen names to up my review count, it is cheating! So, please stop.

If this does not stop, I am going to list all the screen names that I believe are you and alert Admin. I really don't want to have to resort to that but if I have to, I will. This ridiculousness needs to stop.

Regarding LJ users: If you would like to add me to your Friends List, please let me know. If I don't know who you are, I'll most likely not add you to my friend's list. Just let me know who you are and I will have a separate Group List made up that will be visible to you.

I would just like to note that though we have names for the three friends now, I will NOT be changing the names within my fics. The reason for this is because they were the characters as I had seen them and not what they actually are. They were merely interpretations.

Fic Translations There have been several instances where readers have asked me whether I would give them permission to translate any of my fics. I would like to post it here on My Profile, that I will decline any of these requests. There were some heavy issues that arose when Noctum was being translated into Chinese and I will not have that repeated. It is very humbling and touching to have people offer to translate your work and I am very thankful that there are those who would volunteer to do such an endeavor, but I cannot accept.

26/11/11: It's over!!!! I'm yay-ing and wanting to bawl at the same time. Sentio Omnium is finally complete! I am really going to miss this. I have Altera to finish and The Definition of Them, but Sentio was just... something else. Something special to me and now it's over. I'm not sure what I'll be writing after Altera... any ideas? As mentioned in the Epilogue, I will be posting up the complete list of every prompt that involves The Lost, The Undead, The Dragon Knight and The Distortion series in story chron order, at my LJ. It should be up later tonight or tomorrow (if I don't get it all coded and up.) \O/

12/08/12: It's done. It's finally been completed. I honestly am in disbelief that I did it. This one means a lot to me because I had never thought that I would write, let alone complete a Fanfic50, for Cloud and Tifa. As much as I adore them as a pair, it didn't seem like I could, seeing as there are plenty of good and awesome fics out there already dedicated to them. But I needed to show my appreciation for this ship somehow, so I did. I did cheat in that I didn't do 50 fics, but I divided it up with 25 icons. It was still a challenge regardless and I'm proud to see that I've seen it through. Thank you so much to those who stuck with me from the beginning. Thank you! -nowIhavetocelebrate-

26/08/12: So it begins. What adventures await us in my new Crossover fic? It's hard to say with this one because there is so much potential to it. I'm not sure how many of you have actually seen Darker than BLACK, but if you have, a lot of this stuff will be fun. Firstly, you have to realize just how much I adore Hei. I like that he is not completely nice, but he's not entirely mean. He fits right into my type... quiet, secretive, talented and deadly with dark hair kinda guy. The one that if you managed to get within his walls, you'd find so many interesting aspects to him that you would never not be intrigued by him.

I would just like to note that this fic will follow heavily from S1 of DTB. S2 went on a completely different tangent and ended very... I can't even tell you cause I'm not sure myself and I've seen the ending a few times to try and figure it out. LOL. S1's ending was more definitive. It may stray from the storyline of the anime and doesn't consider the Manga. So, there is my warning.

12/02/13: Yes! Chapter Ten is finally upon us. Took me long enough, right? While the chapters are not coming with the same frequency as I usually post, I want to say that this story is never far away from my thoughts. I just don't want to do a half baked job of it and put it down when it doesn't feel right. The next chapter is up in the air at present but I will keep you posted.

21/02/13: I know I have no business writing another fic, even though it's a one shot, while I have not been updating Porta regularly. All I can say is that I got hit by a bug when I heard this song. I wasn't thinking of Say, "I Love You" specifically when I thought of the idea. I thought it would be able to fit into pretty much any genre. It wasn't until my buddy, SilverIceDragon03 said she wanted either a Say or Tonari one, that I decided. Then it all fell into place and made sense that, that's what I was supposed to do with the idea.
