Author has written 14 stories for Harry Potter. Status: It's been a long time, hasn't it? Real life has been sucking for many months, and most of my creative energy is being channeled into Twilight fics, posted under my other account, The Sound and the Fury. I'm going through a burnout phase with HP, evidently. So . . . that's where it's at. Search Engine Parody: Why don't they just come out and say it? Rapture of Canon Photo: For the photo which inspired the "Laughing Together" challenge, click here. Severe Beating Material: For those unfamiliar with Adam Sandler's "The Severe Beating of a High School Science Teacher," here's the link to YouTube (it's a short file) or the text. FANART! Sweet Merlin on a Comet Two Sixty, fanart. The talented (and I assume lovely, though I've never seen her) Angels Broken Shadow has drawn some gorgeous fanart for Godfatherhood. If you like it, send her a PM and say so! Everyone likes feedback! She'll even get back to you so you don't feel like an idiot. How's them apples? Frequently Asked Questions: Sometimes I feel like I waste too much room explaining things in author's notes, so I've put together an FAQ, which might end up replacing existing A/Ns at some point. If you have a question on a story and there's no explanatory note, check the FAQ. I finished one of those online profiles lately, so if you really have nothing better to do, click here. A great deal of thanks is owed amandamxym for scouring Seven Year Snitch and Sirius Consequences for Americanisms (I have yet to fix SC, but will ASAP). Finally, I want to offer my sincere thanks to everyone who's reviewed or messaged me about any of these stories. I try to respond to all of them, but check the last question on the FAQ if you haven't gotten a response. Always feel free to email/PM me to talk about HP fanfic. Or cats. Or just life. I'm always up for a chat with fellow fans. Information about my multi-chaptered stories . . . Sirius Consequences: Canon disturbed me on this point. Sirius was obviously an arrogant little bully as a teenager, but I can't accept that he really thought far enough ahead to see that his "prank" would probably kill Snape, or at the very least out Remus's furry little problem. So this story is my explanation for what went on in that head of his. Canon never went far enough into detail for us to know if Sirius was punished, but in any case, James wouldn't have been, because he wasn't involved except to save Snape when he realised what was happening. Still, Snape remembered it as James "getting cold feet" and deciding not to go through with the prank, so obviously he always blamed James. Click here to view a banner I made for Sirius Consequences. I have no artistic ability whatsoever; yes, I realize it sucks. I've never done this before. On Intercorporeal Maltransference: This story is probably my favourite to write, because it's so much fun. There's no canon to follow, and if there's one thing I'm addicted to, it's cleaning up. Describing all the details of rebuilding the Wizarding world is right up my alley. The Seven Year Snitch: Right up until the first chapter of SYS wrote itself, I had no interest in Snape/Harry guardian or mentor stories (unless you count OIM, which is . . . a bit different). I love writing an abused Harry so I can cuddle him, but this story just follows the neglect/emotional abuse implications in canon. Snape is going to be quite scary for a while, and he'll never get all fluffy like he sometimes does in fandom, but eventually he'll realise that Harry is not James and only seven years old to boot. It Keeps You Runnin': Another kidfic, but with Sirius rescuing Harry from his abusive "family." This was in my head long before I even started reading HP fanfic, but one of the first stories I ever read was angelauthor14's Are You Cross?, and the plot was way too close. I knew if I posted mine, it would just look like I copied her. She said to go ahead, though. :o) Sirius will be raising Harry on the run from dementors and Aurors. Godfatherhood: One of the most important reasons behind fanfic, at least for me, is to fill in the blanks (like I did in my story Unbreakable) and change things I didn't like about canon. I just couldn't stand thinking about Harry losing Sirius just when he needed emotional support, hence this story. | |||||||||
