Author has written 5 stories for Hetalia - Axis Powers.

Hi, my name is Silvia Lilianne Fleurence Fornaro. ^^ A bit of a mouthful, I know.

Curiously enough, all my names (except from my surname) are related to plants: "Silvia" means "woman of the forest", "Lilianne" means "lilium", "Fleurence" is actually the French name of the Italian city "Firenze", but it nonetheless means "woman of the flowers". Yes, my mother loves plants and flowers and no, that DNA trait got lost somewhere. I wouldn't be able to grow even peas. xD (I'm forever banned from our kitchen-garden.)

I'm half-Italian half-Belgian, as you can guess from my name(s): raised in Italy, but with a French-mothertongue mother, so I can be pretty much considered bilingual... Which is often very convenient. ^^

A related note: I've been roaming through the Hetalia fandom for quite some time, and I've seen - well, read - things that made goosebumps run on my skin. English mother-tongues, do not trust Google Translator when you wish to insert Italian, French or Spanish in your stories! Latin-born languages are uselessly complicated, full of articles and concordances of genre and number that simply do not exist in English. So, if you ever want advice with Italian or French, feel free to ask me. ^^ I'm always ready to help. (most recurrent example: France always teases England by calling him "my dear", which in way too many fanfictions I see translated as "ma chère". No! "Ma chère" is feminine. xD France would never say that. It doesn't imply that he thinks England acts like a woman, it's simply grammatically wrong! It should be "mon cher", instead. U.U)

So, where was I... Oh, yes. I'm 19, and my birthday is on September the 25th, if anyone feels like writing it down and wishing me a happy birthday xD I am currently attending the fifth and last year of a science high school. This means that in June I'll have to undergo the exam most dreaded by every Italian student: the "maturity exam". *shivers* This implies two things: one, I am already suffering from stress, anxiety, insomnia and attention-lapses (not nice, believe me); two, I have even less time to read or, God forbid, write. So, do not expect any update from me before July.

Many authors, quite logically, write in their profile page a list of all their stories - completed, on-going, abandoned - with a short prologue.
I am sorry to say that I cannot do that: anyone who has already read some of my stories in the past and scrolls this page down, will discover that more than half of my fanfictions were deleted. Why, you'll ask.

"Heart of Dragon Lies", "Fool's Gold", "Our Last Chance", "Go Away", "Don't You Try To Judge Me"... Those are all stories I wrote at the very least two years ago, if not three or four. In this time I have read many books and learnt many things about how to write well (I recommend everyone Stephen King's writing manual. Skipping the introduction - a good third of the book - it's very interesting). Some time ago I, by chance, found one of those fanfictions of mine and said "oh, let's read it!"

I was disgusted, and closed the window before the third page. God, did I really use to write like that? *shivers* I had to remedy to it, so I deleted all those stories from my account. It's not the story that's awful, but the writing, so what they need is just some good editing: I think that before 2013 they will all be back here. (But, who cares? In December we'll all die, if the Mayas are right xD)

"Reckoning Day, Reckoning Night" and "No Death Tonight", though, are separate cases. The first has to be completely re-written: the plot has changed so much in my mind, that that first chapter simply doesn't fit anymore; while the second, I finally decided to pay heed to all the people asking me not to leave it a one-shot and actually write what happens after (yes, you'll actually get to know if it was Matthew or Alfred I killed off xD).

As you can see, right now I have only Hetalia stories: this because it's my favourite fandom. Since the day I discovered it, two years ago, I've yet to let it go. Which is strange for me: usually I can keep my attention and passion on a certain fandom only for a couple of months (I've had my Shaman King period, my Inuyasha period, my D.Gray-Man period, etc.), but Hetalia survived. Miracle? May it be that I'm growing out of that childish phase when you cannot keep your attention on something for long before changing tastes? Probably not, since I still have the attention span of a gold fish. The typical scene? "Ohhh, a kitten! ohh, a butterfly! Ohh, a shiny-" *sbam!* (this being a close encounter with a lamp-post xD)

My favourite characters are Matthew Williams (Canada) and Arthur Kirkland (England). Why? Well, about the first one, it’s mainly thanks to my American friend Muriah (NinjaMoogle -> http://www.fanfiction.net/u/516730/NinjaMoogle) , with which I have played many, many RP wearing Canada’s shoes, and I came to love him very much (to the point of cosplaying hockey!Canada xD) it goes without saying that CanUk (or Maple tea, however you want to call it xD) is my favourite pairing (too bad that there's so little here on ff.net. If you're interested, go here -> http://fuckyeahukcan.tumblr.com/). Yes, like the 99% of the Hetalia fangirls, I am a yaoi lover. What a surprise.

About the second, England, it's easy to feel attracted to him. He somehow seems to be able to please all kind of "requirements" a fangirl can look for. You must have certainly noticed how he probably is the character with the widest range of personalities ever: from arrogant and cruel (Pirate!England), to gentle and caring (father!England), to greedy and selfish (Epire!England), to polite and self-confident (gentleman!England), to rebellious and wild (punk!England), to grumpy and "tsundere" ("normal"!England) or just to plain stupid and bitchy/slutty (again “normal”!England, usually around America).

I won’t hide my dislike for the last two “versions”. I don’t like UsUk, I prefer UkUs, but the point is not about “uke or seme”, it’s about logic. And a bit of self-respect.

I know Hetalia is an anime founded on prejudices. I am aware of this. My country is Italy, remember? And you all know how Italy is depicted in this anime. As a down-right buffoon and coward. But this is another discussion. What I meant is that, after all, Hetalia’s characters are supposed to represent their country - to be a sum, so to say, of the whole people. And now, please, tell me how a character with the spine of a worm, who completely relies on others for any decision, who stutters and cries at every turn, who blushes like a school girl despite being an adult can in any way represent England. Because this is how he behaves, in most fanfictions.

A Briton crying for a trifle? When the national motto is “keep a stiff upper lip to everything”? Please. I can accept the grumpy-ness: he often behaves like an old man, so I can easily see him bring the above-mentioned motto to its extreme, and have a frown always carved on his forehead. I can also see him put up a “tsundere” façade, if you want: acting coldly with anyone, wearing a “holier than thou” expression, considering himself superior thanks to his culture and education, always thinking to be in the right and thus believing to be his duty to correct others - while actually being a gentle man, maybe a bit shy with being in intimacy with other people.

This, I can accept. When a behaviour has a logic behind it, I can accept it. But I simply cannot accept when I am presented with a spineless, blushing, stuttering being who does nothing but whine and then fall into the arms of the first man taking pity on him (read as in: America), always ending up having sex with him and acting like a downright slut in bed.

The subject of my rant here was England, but the perversion (meant as in "to corrupt", not "depravation") of any anime character into the stereotypical "uke" behavior is something that makes my fingers itch with the need to strangle someone, possibly the author. Name an anime, and I’ll find you a character that has to stand such treatment. D.Gray-Man? Allen. Air Gear? Akito. Final Fantasy VII? (Not an anime, but who cares xD) Cloud. Kuroshitsuji? Ciel. Naruto? Naruto. Fullmetal Alchemist? Edward. And the list goes on.

Now, last but not least! Why is my avatar a coyote? I obviously don’t have one as a pet, and have seen one only once in a zoo (no coyotes in Europe, guys). If you asked me what’s my favourite animal, I wouldn’t answer “the coyote”, either. (I love way too many animals to decide on one xD)

But if you asked me “what animal does represent you?”, then I would answer “a coyote”. “Avatar”, after all, means "reincarnation" or “image/simulacrum that stays in place of” (usually referred to the statues of gods of the Hindu religion) in Ancient Sanskrit: I often compare myself to a coyote, and I like to believe that’s the animal the most similar to me, so it’s only right for the picture of a coyote to stay in place of my own xD (Maybe I was one in a previous life?)

P.S: To any of you who wondered whether my nickname "Red Hot Holly Berries" had something to do with "Red Hot Chili Peppers", I'll only answer that it's a tribute to one of my favourite bands. And since my official nickname in everyday life is "Holly", the link was pretty easy xD

Oh, I almost forgot: if any of you wish to contact me, may it be to number an Italian girl among your online-friends, or because you share my ideas - or, on the contray, you do not and wish to confront our opinions - I have both a MSN address (say_my_name@hotmail.it) and an AIM account (RedHollyBerry9). Just, consider that I live in a GMT+1 zone. Both American and Russian friends are hard to manage.
