Hi Readers,

I have been keeping two stories, 'Save You, Sacrifice Me' and 'The Blind Side' on the backburner for awhile. 'The Blind Side' was an easy write b/c it is a prequel story to my first Underworld fanfiction, 'The Death Dealer, Nia'. It is set during the time frame of the film, 'Underworld: Rise of the Lycans'. Nia, a former viking shieldmaiden turned vampire deathdealer, crosses paths with Lucien during the battle and soon realizes that the vampire historian, Tannis may be in danger. Tannis is racing to secure the elders but is being hunted by a persistent lycan. I really wanted this story to setup the premise of Nia convincing Tannis to be trained once they arrive at port. I'm considering calling the part 2, 'The Trials'.

In terms of 'Save You, Sacrifice Me' (Sorry for the slightly ambiguous but enigmatic title) but I worked really hard on the character of Mara (o/c) and who she really is pre-curse. Her character's curse becomes more apparent as you read on as well as the heartbreak of her brother's mysterious disappearance. She is a private investigator and the only lead she has is something that belongs to the Underworld, land of Hades (which is more familiar to her than she realizes). The closer she gets to the truth, the more attempts on her life have been made -or could it be coincidence? Jefferson, the Mad Hatter saves her and the two become closer from that moment forward. Jefferson and Mara have met before when she was exiled from her world for breaking the cardinal rule of the land of the dead.

Please know I'm still working on my Dark Knight Rises story, 'The Reckoning' -I am in grad school and my story might take a little longer than expected. But I'd rather it be a good successor to my original Dark Knight story, 'Inside The Joker's Cell'.
