I'm in my late 20's, female, married with 2 cats (Bonnie and Clyde), and I'm in dental school studying to earn my Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree. I graduate in May 2010 and I am positively excited. I'm currently in my 3rd year and am in clinic full-time. I love working with my patents. Helping someone gain confidence just by giving them the smile they've always wanted makes me feel great. Nothing makes me happier than making someone else feel good about him/herself. I read the first 3 Twilight books in less than 48 hours, right after I took the National Dental Board Exam Part I. I read the books multiple times over the month following that. I'm a little obsessed. I was lukewarm about Breaking Dawn at first, but I ended up reading it again to better understand it. It took me reading it 3 times to really fall in love with it. There are still parts that are weird, but I like it overall. I am saddened that Midnight Sun will never be in print. I was really hoping to finally read Edward's POV, especially with the meadow and their first kiss. I kind of like the movie. There were things that need to change (like those circular camera motions, dizzy much?). The trailers were better, but I'm glad I saw it. I'm a huge comicbook collector, specifically, the X-Men. I have been collecting the books since I was 12. My favorite character is Phoenix, followed by Cyclops and Wolverine. I own over 700 books. I haven't collected them in a few years because Marvel killed off Phoenix. I loved the first 2 movies and was lukewarm about the 3rd. Fox butchered the greatest love story of all time. It was for Phoenix's love of Cyclops that she was able to pull forth her humanity and sacrifice herself so that those she loved would live. And here the movies made her death an escape of what she did, not a sacrifice. I was also disappointed with Cyclops' use in the movies. Marsden is a wonderful actor and he really made Cyclops come alive, but he never got enough screen time. The writers/director didn't allow Marsden to really get to the death of this character and that was just so sad. His portrail of Cyclops' grief at the end of the 2nd movie was fantastic! It was just like the comics. And I will forever love that scene. I'm also in love with the Dragonlord world of Joanne Bertin. She's only written 2 books so far, but I've gotten wind that her 3rd book will be printed in 2010 or 2011 (it's been 10 years since she last wrote the 2nd). There isn't a day that goes by I don't think about it. I've been reading fanfiction since 1999. I've never written any, but I've thought about it. I just don't think I could write as well as some of the other authors I've come across. If your story has REAL plot, with in-depth characterizations, then I want to read your story. Send those my way. | |||||||
