A little bit about me:

My name is Marissa, I'm 20 years old and I'm going to be a junior at Michigan State University. I love history, especially Ancient Rome and Tudor England. I also enjoy the TV Show Game of thrones and the accompanying book series, A Song of Ice and Fire. I'm studying politics, social issues, and women's history at my University, so my stories will probably reflect some of these issues. I've been on this website for a while now, and so some of my stories are from when I was younger and some now that I'm a bit more of a mature writer. In any case, my message box is always open, I haven't been as active in the Tudor fandom as I used to be, but I made a lot of great internet buddies there and would love to talk to you guys about anything!

"Playing By Heart" is what I plan on writing after I'm done with King Arthur II (see below). It's going to be another AU Tudors, based on a plot bunny from the Tudors Fanfiction Forum. The basic plot line is that instead of dying as an infant, the son born to Henry and Katherine of Aragon in 1511, Prince Hal, survives into adulthood and becomes King, and falls for a certain one of his father's historical wives.

P.S. I got the title from a movie made in 1997, that has Jon Stewart in it. I thought it fit for this story, so I don't really own it.

Current Projects

"King Arthur II" is in progress right now, and I'm not sure how long I am going to make it. It's a Tudor's story, and huge AU or "What If?" Basically, just if Henry VIII's older brother, Prince Arthur, had survived long enough to become King. He was married to Henry's historical first wife, Katherine of Aragon and he died before he was to become King. The pairings will include Henry and Anne Boleyn as well. I really enjoy writing it, and I have a lot of awesome reviewers who also seem to enjoy it, much more support than I ever could have imagined, considering the amount of history I screw up in every chapter.

A huge thanks to ReganX for the development of this story, she has always taken time to brainstorm with me and has given me some amazing ideas throughout this whole entire fic, and writes giant reviews for every single chapter. I can't thank her enough, but you all can help me by checking out her Tudors fics, all of them are great reads and are in my favorites folder.

TrivialQueenhas also been a great help to me, and my biggest moral-supportee. I love her dearly

Finally, a thanks to everyone who has reviewed, favorited, and/or alerted this story. Your support has been staggering and I can't believe how successful this little ambitious AU has been, so really, I love you all!

Completed

"Control" is just a completed one-shot for Rome. It compares Servilia and Cleopatra in Caesar's head, and why one of them matters over the other. It's pretty short, but I enjoyed writing it.

"Another Heart Calls" is a one-shot for Glee. Puck/Rachel relationship is explored. Possible follow up in the works :P

"I Just Need You Now" is my entry into Pandora's odd couple Ficathon, and it was a bit of a challenge for me to write. I've never written a Tudors one-shot, nor about any couple in that fandom besides Arthur/Katherine and Anne/Henry. So I enjoyed working with Anne of Cleves and Anthony Knivert, two fairly minor characters on the show. It's a bit fluffy, but I hope you all enjoy it!
