GENERIC BIO INTRODUCTION:

Hi, I'm The Roaming Shadow (just "Roaming Shadow" was already taken), you may call me Miki Elle if you you want to.

I'm a seventeen year old from the Philippines. I spend time with my friends, make snarky and sarcastic remarks, and procrastinate... a lot. I'm sometimes moody, irrational, erratic, and panicky. I also have the tendency to overuse exclamation points and emoticons when I'm happy or excited. I love reading, writing, and daydreaming. I wouldn't know what would happen if I couldn't do any of them. I mostly write poems and the occasional short story. If I could draw, I'd do that too. Oh, and one day, I will rule the world with my rabbit army. Anyone who doesn't follow my rule will be brought to one of my torture chamber and will be handled accordingly

I am probably a normal person :D

MY LATEST FANDOM/OBSESSION IS: Finding decent Naruto fanfics. You'd think it would be easy to find good stories with a fandom with over 300,000, but so far, every good fanfic I've come across is either already on my alerts/favorites or abandoned.

THE ROAMINGSHADOW'S ONLINE JOURNAL... THING
Since I don't have any stories to update yet, I decided to add this little thing to my profile so the people of the FFN community will know that I exist/haven't died. But honestly, I did this so I'd have an excuse to update my profile often and develop an ability to get to the point.

So yeah...

Goodness, I'm enrolling tomorrow, orientation is next week, and I'm going to officially be a college student on the 27th. HELP.

May 4, 2013
Oh my, May already? I'm going to be starting college in a few more weeks. I don't know whether I'm excited or terri-- I'm terrified. Extremely terrified.

April 27, 2013
I'm deciding whether I should write a Naruto fanfic. I have a plot, and a few chapter outlines, in progress, but I won't be making things official unless I've made significant progress with the fic, perhaps at least a fourth of its total chapters. It would be awful of me to post something then leave it stewing there for who knows how long.

Guess what? I'm a high school graduate now! I've got about a month an a half of summer before college. Am I ready to be a asset/liability to society yet?

I'm more of a reader than a writer on this site. (If you didn't already come to this conclusion when you saw how many stories are in my Favorites, then now you know.) I do write, but I focus more on writing original works. My last attempt to write fanfiction (that was posted on the site) had... disastrous results. I'm sure my writing has improved since then, and I have tried writing fics, but I think I'll play with fandoms, plots, and characters a little more before posting anything on here again. If you want to check out my original works, please find me on deviantArt, the link is above this in the 'other accounts' section of my bio.

So now that it has been established that I'm an avid reader, I am begging anyone who sees this to recommend anything you think is a good read (manga, novel, fanfic... anything!). I read at the speed of light and am quickly running running out of good works to read.

There are some conditions that the work as to meet though...

1. I absolutely refuse to read anything of the extreme horror genre. It's not that it isn't good, it's just that I have a vivid imagination and am enough of a scaredy cat. I guess I could read some horror, but only of the shallow type or won't make me fear the edge of my bed.

2. I'm not very fond of anything that's purely romance. For some strange reason, I can't stand reading anything that's just romance or focuses solely on non-familial/non-fraternal love. I'm fine with pairings as long as it isn't the sole purpose of the story. Maybe it's just the way some romance stories are written (girl meets boy, some random problem happens, enter the hypotenuse, problem gets resolved, they live happily ever after), but I just don't like most shipping fics or love stories. I will make exceptions for romance that is well-written and has a good plot. Perhaps reading stories like that will convert me.

3. I love Hurt/Comfort, Family, Friendship, and Angst... mostly the first and last one. I have absolutely no clue why I enjoy these genres so much. I just do for some odd reason.

4. Please no lemon. I admit I have skimmed through some some stories of this variety, but I just can't seem to bring my self to read about... intercourse. If a work is really good, I wouldn't mind reading it. I'd probably just skip the... scenes though.

Okay, I think that's about it. If anything else comes to mind, I'll add it on later :D
