Author has written 24 stories for Misc. Books, Indiana Jones, Murder Rooms, Alexandre Dumas, Inspector George Gently, A-Team, Criminal Minds, and Stargate: SG-1.

I can't decide what to put here, so yet another change, people. Besides, it's not as if anyone actually reads these, right?

Also, please check out my lj: http://libertythistle.livejournal.com/

My opinions on things I write about

Corporal punishment/spanking - Surprisingly enough, if you look at my fics, I do not approve. I will not try to give an account om my amateurish psychoanalyses of my fascination with it, but I can assure you that it probably has its origins somewhere in my twisted mind. In Scandinavia, where I live, spanking has been outlawed for decades and neither I nor basically anyone I associate with has experienced it. My writing of it is therefore entirely, completely fictional.

However, I am most certainly opposed to spanking children. You will notice, if you read my stories, that they contain no/very little spanking of children, and this is because I don't like writing about kids. Spanking of adults in a father/son sort relationship is, to my knowledge, probably close to non-existant in the real world, but to read my stories (or any spanking stories of the same type) you should probably try to move your mind to an alternate universe where fatherly old men are a lot more likely to spank their adult (but young and cute!) son-figures. A bit like, I feel, people seem to change their mindset when they read slash. I mean, everyone can't be gay.

On that note, I am a sucker for all kinds of father/son relationships. Again, I won't bore you with my attempts at figuring out why, but basically that is my main interest when reading and writing fanfic.

Homosexuality/ slash - I have no problem with gay people. I see nothing wrong or disgusting about people of the same sex having (that's right!) sex.

However, I find the majority of slash pairings out there rather unrealistic. And considering my long rant above about moving your mind into different universes, I shoul obviously be able to read it anyway. And I am. I read slash occassionally, and I even write it, though that's more rare, but it just doesn't really do anything for me. The only pairing I really see as completely and utterly true is Athos/Aramis. Don't ask why because that will turn into an even longer rant.

Normally, I simply prefer friendship fics. But since I do love h/c and a lot of it is slash I obviously read it (and completely OT, I think that the only fandom I have ever encountered that does not have ANY slash is Hardcastle and McCormick) but most of it I would totally prefer to be friendship-based instead. Especially since the ones involving slash often seems to contain an inordinate amount of rape.

Some slash pairings I have a hard time reading. Hannibal/anyone of the guys, in the A-Team is one example. In my world Hannibal is totally a father figure to all the team and it's very icky to me to have him sexing the others. However I have no problem with other writing and liking this. I don't write spanking-fics expecting anyone but those who like them to like them (obvious!me is obvious) but I similary expect everyone not to bitch about them. As far as I am concerned people can read and write what they like.

Women - You might (or might not, which is quite as likely) have noticed that there is a shortage of women in my fics. That's because, very simply, I don't like writing about women. I also don't like reading about women that much. This too has been the object of several self-analyses but I honestly can offer no explanation. In real life I have absolutely no issue with women, since I am one. I believe we are of the same worth as men and I believe that individuality should always be put above sex. And there are some female characters that I absolutely adore, too. :)

War - which gets to be on the list because of the A-Team. I am basically opposed to war and in accordance to my hippie-ish political views I don't think the Vietnam war was a good idea. However, I immensely admire most of the soldiers that fought there and I quite frankly can't help but sympathise slightly (though I definitely do not condone it) with those who committed the war crimes we hear about. I do believe in personal responsibility, but I am dubious as to what you can really expect when you give boys/very young men guns and tell them to kill people.

Mental problems - Again, it gets in because of the A-Team. I myself have some psychological issues, and I try, obviously, to make all renditions of psychological suffering realistic as far as I can. I have however never been in a war (thank God) nor have I experienced anyone else's feeling but my own (again, obvious!me) so I cannot really make any gurantees about my depictions. My point (yes, there is one) is that if something I write on the topic offends anyone because of something, I want to clarify that what I write is not a generalisation of everyone's psychological suffering but it is not completely untrue either.

Religion - which is on the list because I am an egocentric person who likes to ramble about my opinions. I am in severe doubt as to the existance of God. I grew up Christian, but now I am basically, if I should describe my self with a word, a Doubter. The idea of writing about faith, however, appeals very much to me for various reason. (This my self-psychoanalyses has actually given some sort of answer to.) Again, I do not wish to offend anyone with my possible future scribblings.

/Long rambling is over/
