Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter, and Wizard of Oz. Bleary-eyed after hours of writing, I pull the flash drive out of the computer and look around. “There must be a cap to this thing somewhere….” I look at my desk, which is covered in papers, books and notes I’ve scribbled to myself. It’s so late at night that the only way I could get to bed at a reasonable hour is if you were thinking of terms of tomorrow night, or more likely later this evening. I’m exhausted but I’m happy, because this is the time when my mind comes alive with ideas and when my serious writing gets done. I’m SevereInsomnia, and by this point I probably look it. Most people call me Emer. I write for Harry Potter. I am also a Terry Pratchett fan, but with that series I can’t imagine I could do anything but damage. There’s no way to improve on perfection. I also read Black Cat and InuYasha manga. I wear black, code web pages in my free time, and design houses and castles for fun. What more can I say? (Quite a lot, actually….) Want to talk? PM me. I love meeting new people. And no matter how long they’ve been on the site, I’m always excited to see a review on my stories. Other people have plot bunnies. I have a plot gnome. His name is Frederick--Fred if you want to stay on his good side. And I prefer he stays happy, because if he runs off there's no telling when he'll get back here and get down to some serious brainstorming again. I'll never figure out how he works the keyboard. Mage's Domain--Fans for Everything Fantasy Recently I started a website for fantasy fans. It's not just for one book or series, but for anything that can be considered fantasy--books, movies, video games, World of Warcraft, etc.--and we'll do whatever we feel like doing. When it's up and running properly, we'll be able to have a news page about your favorite authors and fiction, roleplays and fanfiction, discussions, and lots of other events. If there's enough interest, we can even create clubs within the site for certain fiction or activities that people can join. The idea is that it'll be a fan-run site, where everyone can pitch in and help whenever. So if Mage's Domain sounds interesting to you, please take a look at the link at the top of my profile! If you want to join, all you have to do is get an account on the site forums. Membership is free forever, and the site is completely ad-free as well. We could use you! Favorites Snape The Weasleys Tonks Hagrid Hermione The Burrow Hogwarts Snape's office Least Favorites Umbridge Fudge Percy Weasley Ron/Hermione Harry/Ginny I will read slash and character pairings but time will tell whether I will write them and/or what characters I’ll use. My favorite fics are humor or adventure. I also tend to disregard Deathly Hallows in my writing and commonly Half-Blood Prince as well. Favorite Quotes …It was a place where witches met. Tonight a fire gleamed on the very crest of the hill. Dark figures moved in the flickering light. The moon coasted across a lacework of clouds. Finally, a tall, pointy-hatted figure said, “You mean everyone brought potato salad?”—Terry Pratchett, Witches Abroad Rincewind was a wizard with a hat, a library of magical books and a tower. This could be regarded as everything a magical practitioner could need. An ape, a small terrier with halitosis and a lizard in a jar were optional extras. --Terry Pratchett, Sourcery When I first uploaded Mr. Granger's Unusual Patient, I didn't realize you couldn't edit it once it was a story. So I forgot something very important, and here's an all-purpose... Harry dreams his way into the movie, but not everything is as it was on film... (My first crossover) | |||||||
