Author has written 6 stories for Naruto. ... Being a good writer takes so much commitment, selflessness, and persistence. It's not enough to just have a good idea. You actually have to write them down and flesh out all the annoying details between point A and B. And then keep at it despite the frustrating writers' blocks or when your writings doesn't come out the way you envision in your mind. Or when you just want to do other easier activities, instead of the much harder act of creation. What other talent or craft in this world can create an entirely different universe within another person's mind? Or make you snort with laughter one moment only to completely shatter your heart in the next? What other medium can better teach you about the hardship of life and sympathize with the experiences of people who are completely unlike you? I can be entertained by movies and television but they can never move me the way that great writing can. But you know, the tricky thing about writing is that theoretically, everyone can do it.
