My Secrets Series

Secrets--The main story, which I had no clue would span out into what it did. And whenever I write an actual multi-chaptered story like this, I always have one song that sort of serves as inspiration for the entire thing, and the song that I used for this story was Secrets by The Pierces.

Intrigue--The prequel, because even though Secrets focused on two main characters, the others had way too much background that deserved to be shown. The song for this one is If U Seek Amy by Britney Spears.

Compelled--The sequel to the prequel, so it's more like Intrigue Part Two. The song is Stronger by Kanye West.

Impulse--A sort of accompaniment thing that I compare the format to Hikaru Kaitou's Their Love in Fifty Words (which, if you haven't read, is amazing), because not every important bit of the characters'...um, experiences...are shown in Intrigue. (You'll have to read Intrigue to understand what I mean about "experiences"). The song is Dirty Little Secret by All-American Rejects for the "good impulses", and Thanks for the Memories by Fall Out Boy for all the other ones.

Unveiled--The sequel, which, as of now, is finally posted, but I haven't started the body of the story yet; we just have teasers and a kind-of-prologue. The song is Celebrity Status.

Basically, as you can see up in my list of books that I loved, GG (Gossip Girl) is one of them, and I love the show, too, although my main tv series obssession is now Skins, and I thought that the author of GG didn't make the characters to what she could've. She also didn't take advantage of the setting and plot and intricated as much as she could've, and so...well...I thought I should. And since the characters of GG are just too...slightly annoying for me to write, I thought I'd use Tsubasa characters. (And then in Intrigue, I ended up using xxxHolic and X/1999 characters, too. At least the ones that crossover with TRC).

So there you have it.

Update(3/1/09): First, before I say (type) anything...I have to say this: I'MREALLYSORRYPLEASEDON'TKILLMEORBRINGATORCHORPITCHFORKOFANYKINDWITHINAHUNDREDMILERADIUSOFMEPLEASE. Okay, now that I've gotten that out, time for the real news: I'm not continuing Rule, Enslaved, or Trade. I would take them down from FF altogether, but I thought that I should leave them up in case I decide sometime later in the future to continue them. But otherwise for now, I'm not. I'm really, really, really sorry, but I'm pretty sure (again don't kill me) that a lot of you have had a fic that is superduperty fun to write at first, but you just don't feel like continuing it because it gets a bit boring later on. Or we're just lazy sometimes. I don't know. But right now, Intrigue and Impulse are the ones that I'm putting my all into.

(And yes, I just took away my past updates since, if i kept them on my profile, it'd be longer than my list of stories 0_0)

Update(3/18/09): Okay, so about my Intrigue prequel thingy, it's getting almost as long as Secrets, and therefore, way too long for me. And the plot that I'd originally made for Intrigue is way too...complex or "big" for me to wrap it up in one story. SO, I have no clue what the proper term for it is, but I'm going to have to write a sequel to the prequel? Like, it's going to take place before Secrets, too, but after Intrigue. I'll be posting that teaser and stuff up soon. Probably tonight.

Update(4/5/09): How's everyone enjoying Compelled? Good? Okay? Decent? Bearable? Horrible? No? Yes? All right. Well, I was talking to my best friend the other day, and we were reading that list that's on a lot of CLAMP fans profiles here on FF, the one listing all the things about CLAMP's work, y'know? Like my favorites are "At least you're not Subaru", and "If you're precious to your brother, you're probably doomed", and so on. Thing is, it gave me an idea to start a series called the How to Be series. And I suppose you can guess that the first one will be How to Be: Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. I'm not sure how it'll turn out, so review it and tell me if I should make more, or if I should just...not.

Update(4/16/09): Okay...so, I really want to start detailing and filler-ing in my plot for the sequel to Secrets, but first thing's first. WHY DON'T I HAVE A TITLE YET?! I'LL TELL YOU WHY. BECAUSE MY MIND IS ON A TITLE-BLANK, WHICH FOR ME, BY THE WAY, IS RARE. Almost as rare as common sense appearing in TRC of recent chapters. But! Anyway. I'll be posting up a poll with my candidate titles, but even those highly suck in my opinion, so if you have a kick-ass-er title for me to use, PM me and I'll steal you the tape of Ashura and Yuui doing the dirty in Bali. We can watch it together. With popcorn. Movie theater butter. Deal...? 0_0 Okay.

Update(4/19/09): As you can see in the "Secrets Series" list up above, I've finally (FINALLY) come up with a title for the sequel, and hopefully (or not so hopefully, depending on where you stand) the closing installment to the Secrets Series, as I'll be partially glad to wash my hands of this series, no matter how much I endearingly love it, and will probably mope around quite a bit when it ends. I'll probably take a break from KuroFai stuff for a while to write some of my own fictions over at FP, or just on my own, perhaps for future publishing dreams, all after I finish Unveiled. But if I ever get bored again, and find myself wandering back into the alleyways of FF, I'll probably resume some of the hiatus-ed KuroFai stuff, and maybe some KamuixFuuma things, because they're one of the things the Secrets Series has endeared me to.

Update(4/30/09): So, um, in history class we're in the 1920s, also known as the Roaring Twenties, also known as the time period during which the Prohibition acts were passed, also known as the event that provoked more organized crime in New York/Chicago mobsters than before--Al Capone, y'know the deal. And there's always been something about "New York's Underworld" that seemed really hot to me. And anything that's hot I always associate with Tsubasa. And since summer vacation's coming up, I thought that I'd be able to take it easy with the writing during the busy period before school ends. So rest assured, I'll finish Compelled and Unveiled. Even if slowly, and slaving over my laptop, I'll finish them. But while I'm putting those up with as much effort as I have to pull through, I'll also be writing another AU that I hope will be ready to put up by the time I finish the Secrets series. I really don't want to hiatus any more than I already have, so I have to take things super slowly, and if you want me to write faster...well...I guess reviews help. A bunch. That's the reason I wrote Secrets and Intrigue so fast. It was the magical reviews. So, again, reviews to my fingers, are like gasoline to cars. You review, I'll type/write. As for a hint for the AU, well, I'll put it like this: A lot of the xxxholic, TRC, and X/1999 characters I used in the Secrets series will be used in this one, which I'm calling the Underworld series. I hope that the term won't be confused for the Hades kind of underworld. I mean like, black market, mafia, Italian gangsters kind of underworld.

Fai's a mob leader. Kamui's a prostitute. Kurogane's a policeman. It's hot. Just saying.

Update(5/10/09): I just erased the Bleach/Skins stuff, for those of you who'd read what this Update had once been. Because it was just out of hopelessness for my temporary stuck-ness on the scene I'm on in Compelled. So, all's well, never fear. Although, the Bleach/Skins deal WILL probably happen after Unveiled's done. In the mean time, just take this Update as an apology for the time you're probably wondering why I'm taking so long.

Update(5/22/09): I just made myself a livejournal account under himawarixxsandz (which is basically what I use for my account in everything, although sometimes I use a dual account as kileyxmax, but anyhoo.) And I decided to post the Secrets series there too, since the formatting is quite nice there, if not confusing somewhat. I also think it'd be nice if someone out there, meaning here on FF, who I've talked to some, in other words, any of my reviewers who I PM with, would give me some advice on LJ, as things there are not very clear as to what to do to post writings and so on. So I offer a virtual hand of pathetic-ness out to you since I've been headdesking myself for about a day over this.

Update(5/7/09): Um. I'm sick. Again. And there's a pile of used tissues higher than my laptop again that I have to keep throwing away every hour otherwise it threatens to flood my laptop and probably, eventually, myself. And I can't taste my food very well. Meaning, it's sort of hard to get into an angsty enough mood to write Seishiro and Subaru's stuff in Impulse (since I've finally decided to get started on that arc thingy) or a dramatic/mysterious/suspenseful-ish enough mood to write Prohibited or a sexy mood to write the next chapter of Compelled when you're nose starts leaking every other sentence. Plus, I have grad parties all lined up for this week and I don't want to miss any of them. So...headkeyboard. Well. In any case, at least Seishiro will be getting epically pwned very, very, very soon. In both Impulse and Compelled.

Update(7/6/09): If I ever write the wrong date in the next few weeks, it's because I'm epic fail at keeping track of the days during summer vacation. In any case, I'll be going to Canada soon, the land of...well, when and if someone from that country comes and PMs or reviews me about what it's the land of, I'll fill in that blank. Until then, I'll just say that I'm looking forward to going. It'll be my first time there, so if any of you reading this are Canadian...I'll be in your country soon. I don't know if that sounds stalkerish to you, but it does to me. Also, after I completely wear out the TRC fandom, I'm thinking of going into Bleach and Naruto. Before I got into TRC, I was super into Naruto. I know that nowadays, Naruto's plot is epically non-epic-anymore (I've stopped reading it altogether), but back in the day (which really isn't back in any day at all), Naruto was my first ever anime/manga/boutofJapaneseawesomeness so I still have a soft spot for it. And it was the first thing I wrote fanfiction on (albeit, super bad fanfiction) even though I didn't know about FF yet, at all. I still have all my notebooks on it (since I hadn't yet discovered the miracles of Word) and back then, I made up, like, a crapload of OCs. They were great characters, I was just a stupid sixth grade writer. The same goes for Bleach, which came a bit after my Naruto obssession phase. But some of you might wonder (or most likely not care at all) about my pen name, and some of you might think it's derived from Himawari Kunogi. Like, from xxxholic? Well, if I manage to get around to rewriting my epic sixth grade collection of Naruto fanfic, then you'll find out about 'himawarixxsandz's long and colorful history.

Or you really just wouldn't care. I understand. Anyway, this update is sort of pointless in regards to my TRC stuff. But just to list on all the crap I've got going on: Rule (God, that one's hard), Unveiled (Not even got its own Word Doc yet), Compelled (Oh, the angst), Impulse (Angst relief to the max, or it used to be, since Seishiro and Subaru are towing into that, now, too), and Prohibited (Thank God).

(facepalm)

Update(7/12/09): Okay, so I don't know if it's karma or a case of Life Just Likes To Mess With Your Balls And Laugh, but my laptop (or more accurately, my dad's laptop that his workplace gives him) is suffering from viruses (or what I just like to call The Computer Influenza) and therefore, he has to take it back to his workplace to get it fixed. My dad (who's birthday is tomorrow, or rather the date after this one, since I don't know when you'll be reading this) believes it's because I'm reading manga from mangafox (as he's a rather avid follower of Case Closed) and mangafox has a lot of glitches, I won't deny. But it's the only place I can get yaoi (a.k.a., life-sustenance) without having to download crap from scantalation sites. But now, I think that I'll have to start going with that, because if I get any more viruses from one place or another, my dad will be ultimately pissed. (He's a techie to the extreme, while technology seems to hate me just because--it makes me wonder if I'm adopted).

So that's my excuse for not having updated in so long. (Or what feels like so long to me, a complete writing nerd.)

The End.

(headdeskfacepalmheadkeyboard combo of epicfailure)

Update(7/25/09): I am, in fact, back from The Land of the Moose, otherwise known as Canada, even though I saw no moose. I did, however, see and eat enough maple candy to last myself a lifetime, and yet, my parents brought home two considerably sized bottles of maple syrup, four large maple lollipops (shaped into maple leaves, no less) and an entire bag of, yes, more maple candy. So, at the least, I know what I'm having for breakfast and desert for the next two weeks.

In another case, Canada itself, was beautiful. I sound like a vapid tourist. Well, too bad. It might be because we just went to the pretty places (Montreal, and Quebec City were my favorites), but Canadian weather is far, far, FAR better than the weather in Virginia, I can tell you that. Moreover, we live close to the border, and today, it seemed that the minute we crossed into our home state, it started pouring rain and rumbling thunder, and that was just the loveliest 'Welcome home' I've gotten yet.

Niagara Falls was also amazing. We went on the Maid of Mist ride, and I got soaked ten different ways and in ten different places that I would not like to indulge with you. Sadly, the only internet I got through this whole thing (as Rightside Reflection and GHSNeko know) was through my dad's teeny, tiny laptops. Y'know the kind--the ones that have keys so tiny it makes you wonder if your fingers are sausages and you need to cut back on the amount of maple syrup on your pancakes? I swear that I missed every third letter I typed. Plus, I had to watch as my favorite manga (and my favorite yaoi, a.k.a., life sustenance) were updated and I could do nothing about it but stare folornly at my update list on Baka-Updates. The only thing I COULD check as far as updates were none other than the ones on FF. But that was enough to keep the writer in me from dying completely.

And as far as writing news, Canada somehow managed to breed nothing but angst bunnies. More specifically, angst bunnies. And lo and behold, when I went to the Japanese Marketplace that we always go to whenever we're up north (read: passing through New Jersey), I managed to snag an English copy of Tokyo Babylon Vol. 2. I would've gotten X/1999, too, but they didn't have that for some reason. Apparently, in manga, the alphabet stops at W, because that's how much room the shelves had. By the way, have any of you seen the cover of Bleach Vol. 37? Tite Kubo actually made Yumichika look hot. I was going to get that one just to look forward to staring at Yumichika all day in the car, but then I decided that I owe it to my Secrets readers to assure if I've gotten Seishiro and Subaru in character or not. (As I've only, before now, ever read them in TRC).

But I've now read them in Tokyo Babylon, and I must say that I think I've gotten them pretty IC. Subaru is as girly and yet loveable as Sakura; Hokuto is completely badassly, rockingly awesome; and Seishiro is an adorable bastard that you want to hug and smack at the same time. (nods contentedly) Yep.

And thus ends the longest Profile Update I've ever done and nobody will probably read. (headdesk)

Update(7/26/09): PLAYLIST TIME. Okay, so in one of my ANs a few chapters ago, I think I said that tsubasafanatic13 made me a playlist for my Secrets Series. So she inspired me to make one of my own, only mine is way longer and something you should check out when you're bored out of your wits and have absolutely nothing else to do. Absolutely nothing. As in, so absolute, that were it not for this gianormous playlist, all you would have to do is sit and stare into space and breathe. And so, without further ado, the link: http://www.playlist.com/playlist/17316316427

Update(10/31/09): At this rate, killing me would no longer be considered murder, as I clearly deserve it. I've misued and abused the "I'm starting high school" excuse for about two months now. When for half of that time, I've been seeking freshmen therapy by way of those JE boys who ruin our lives because they kill your brain cells dead with their hips of doom and words of baka. And their touchy-feely-member-ai. Definitely that, too. But fear not. Nothing AT ALL has changed by way of what's active and what's not. Unveiled, Prohibited, Compelled, Impulse, Watch This Space--THEY ARE ALL STILL ALIVE. Even if the one writing them is not.

Forgive me, but if you are a yaoi fangirl you must read it: http://daioh--sakura.deviantart.com/art/HOW-TO-WRITE-YAOI-109193542
